Using BBM after connecting through wifi?

I just arrived canada and i've connected my torch to a wpa personal wifi,,,, the browser works fine but my bbm is not working,, can anyone please tell what to do to connect the device to bbm ?

Yep, that'll certainly throw a crimp in your BIS data connection.
How could you have not happened to mention that at the outset?
Put the SIM card in and boot back up.
Allow the device to connect again with your network, roaming.
You should then be able to go to your Mobile Network settings and turn OFF the connection to your mobile network and use BBM and email, etc., through WiFi only.

I have now solved it. I signed out of my iTunes account and then held down both the power buttons until the apple appeared. When I signed back in it started downloading.

Have you tried to use some other browser?
Do you use Skype or some other messenger? Can any of them connect properly?
I dont know what the real problem is. Non working Internet explorer or WLAN connection in general?

After connecting to wifi and switching on location i proceeded to follow the instructions 'slide to setup'. I was informed that it may take 3 minutes to activate phone but was then presented with the screen 'Could not Activate iphone', this is because the activation server is unavailable. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

Not here. iOS5 beta is only available to registered developers, and discussing it publicly outside of the private developer forums is a violation of the non-disclosure agreement you signed to access the beta.

No, but cellular data will be used at whatever international roaming rate you carrier charges for data in whatever country.
Exchanging iMessages requires the same thing as email - an available internet connection. SMS/MMS is completely separate from iMessage.

At your end you will be using your WiFi signal. At the other end the iPhone would be using the 3G cellular signal. The cellular plan would need to be provisioned to allow FaceTime calls over cellular.

Not getting internet even after connecting to wifi

i am not getting internet even after connecting to wifi. this occured after i tried to connect my i pad mini to a public wifi. i dont know weather it is a coincidence. any solutions??

My problem is solved. Actually i visited the apple autherised service centre. They told it may be because there was too many programs open in the background.the solution was
1. Swipe up with four or five fingers to multitasking and then close them one by one by swiping up with a single finger
2.Reseting the i pad by pressing the sleep and home button simultaneously
the problem was solved on restarting

BIS WON'T CONNECT THROUGH WIFI

So my phone got wiped, lost everything. When i started to set everything up again (wifi etc) i noticed BIS does not connect through wifi anymore. It did before my phone got wiped. Is this temporary or do I need to do some fiddling around?

When i try to connect my iPhone 4S into iTunes through wifi or USB it will not connect the other thing is when i hook up my iPad into iTunes it will connect through wifi but not USB? Now is this a issue with my iPad and iPhone or is this iTunes?

When i bought my iPhone and my iPad they both were on iOS 7.0.2 i updated them shortly after thinking the new iOS 7.0.4 was better. i see its not but they both worked great with iTunes before and after the update. My question is why is my iPhone not connecting to iTunes? it will not connect through USB or wifi and i know that the setting to do that is turned on. my iPad connects through iTunes through wifi but not USB. This isnt making any sense but i wanna know is this a iTunes issue? or is it my phone and iPad??

This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?

System shuts down after connecting to WiFi

My new HP 250 G3 running Windows8.1 shuts down immediately or after sometime whenever i connect it to any of available WiFi networks i.e. in Home or in University. It produces a Blue Screen evrytime producing a new error type such as driver_irql_not_less_or_equal nwifi.sys or kmode_exception_not_handled or system_thread_exception_not_handled. But if i don't connect to WiFi there is no problem at all. I have recent updates of all drivers updated using HP Softpaq Download Manager and all the Windows updates also. I have searched on the web for solution but cannot resolve the problem. Please Suggest how to solve the problem.

Can my iPhone does Wifi Sync with PC (LAN connected through wifi router)?

I have connect my PC to a wifi-router,
and I also connect my iPhone with this wifi network
but i can't find my iPhone as device in iTune (as we normally see it when we use notebook

I have followed your kind advice; syny my iPhone with new PC via physical cal ble connection. However, it still not show in device list when I unplug cable. Formerly, I can sync through wifi from my notebook but now I can't since I have changed to use PC (which connect to the same wifi router).
Please advise if somewhere I did something wrong or where should i do more

My apple tv does not ask for a password after connecting to wifi

I'm not tech savey at all!! I've just hooked up my apple tv. it connects to wifi but doesn't prompt me for a password. The wifi is password protected. Any ideas?

Unfortunately as AppleTV does not have a web browser it can't show that webpage to connect.
Just to be sure I assume this is a webpage with a company name of the wifi supplier for thata area/group of residences asking you to login using some credentials and accept terms and conditions, not a configuration page for a router or similar?
You might be able to share an internet connection from a computer over ethernet but sometimes the terms of these connections prohibit that.

Why is my iphone 4s slow connecting through wifi

hi, i've just got my new iphone 4s, all set up ok but when i want to go on the internet through wifi, it is painfully slow.
connecting through 3g is fine, but wifi is a no go. the phone does recognise my network, just doesn't connect to the internet. any help would be great.
