Using BBM out of the country with Curve 8330

My daughter will be traveling to Israel and has a Blackberry Curve 8330. She is on our Family Select Share Plan with the data package added $29.99 amonth unlimited.
If we do not add an International plan, will she be able to use her BBM and if so, is there an addtional charge?

The Blackberry Curve 8330 is not an International device. So unfortunately the device will not work while your daughter is traveling to Israel.

  • What do you advise I do If I am out of the country with a broken phone screen?

So, the other night I lost grip of my iphone and it landed on the street, smashing the phone screen into a couple hundred pieces. Everything still functions, I am just unable to see the screen perfectly, and there is the constant risk of cutting my fingers. I understand that I can, with applecare coverage, send it in to get it repaired, the issue is that I'm out of the U.S. for 5 more months.
Is there anything I can possibly do here so that I don't have to pay to ship it all the way back to the states?

Please help me set up my Verizon IPhone 5, so that I can travel in Ireland without roaming charges.  I have NO service, so did not set up the phone correctly, so really  need your help.  I would like to be able to use wifi and use the phone.
Without Roaming there is no service.  You need to contact Verizon and determine why there is no service. Most carriers have roaming partnerships with local carriers in other countries. Verizon maybe does not? Or your plan is not setup to automatically Roam?
If Verizon has none, then you will get no service.
If you require phone service without roaming, then you need to get a local Sim card for a local carrier to use.
Note that this sim card will have its own phone number, which will be different to the one you get from Verizon.
Wifi is independent of Roaming or Cell service.  You can use Wifi even when there is no Service, assuming there is a Wifi router nearby.

  • How Can This Computer Be Used Right Out Of The Box With NO WORD PROCESSING!

I just want to know why I can't do homework on a $1099 laptop!

    Welcome to the discussions!
As mentioned, virtually no PC comes with MS Office on it - and that's a good thing. Most people do not need all the features of Office in a standard home setting and including it would just increase their price needlessly. Students who turn in homework through email will usually need it since teachers really don't want to be bothered with multiple file formats. I can't blame them.
Check out your school's bookstore. It is likely that they have Office for Mac at a great price. If not - or if you want a different program - use OpenOffice or Apple's own iWork.

  • When using imessage with another iphone user, is it still free to message them if they're out of the country?

my friend is out of the country, and he wants use imessage, but i dont know if it will give me charges to my account and apple doesnt mention if it's only unlimited messaging within the country

iMessage uses data, just like an email, if I can use that analogy. It will not count as SMS, however I have read somewhere where some people have reported getting SMS charges when using iMessage. I believe it is impossible though, unless the message does not go through and you have send as SMS checked in settings if the iMessage fails.

  • My wife and I want to swap her 4s for my 4 while a take a short trip out of the country.  We use the same email address for itunes but different for email.  Can we just change our phone numbers and email addresses so we get our own messages?

My wife and I want to swap her iphone 4s for my iphone 4 while I take a short trip out of the country.  We use the same itunes account but have different email accounts.  Can we just change our phone numbers with our carrier and change email addresses on our phones so we get correct messages, with out disturbing our other apps?

The email is simple. Just delete her email acoount on her iPhone and configure your account into the phone and then do the same for her on your phone.
The harder issue is that to switch the cellular phone service you will need to switch the SIM cards and the two phones do not use the same size SIM card.

  • Hello! I'm out of the country and all my iWeb information is on my computer at home. Now I need to make changes on the webpage... how can i do that without using the computer i made the page on? Thank you!!

Hello! I'm out of the country and all my iWeb information is on my computer at home. Now I need to make changes on the webpage... how can i do that without using the computer i made the page on? Thank you!!

iWeb uses the domain.sites2 files to store its assets.
    You'll find it here :
    ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/
where ~ is your Home directory.
If you take a computer with you, you have to store that file in the same location.
It's not different from taking documents with you if you want to edit them.
A solution is to remotely control your computer at home.
TeamViewer, LogMeIn, Apple Remote Desktop or any VNC application you can use, like "Chicken of the VNC".

  • How come i cant use my iphone out of the country?

do i need anything special to make my iphone to work out of the country?

Well, yes. Verizon's network is CDMA, most of the other networks in the world are GSM. So the hardware will not work anywhere there is not a CDMA network. I think there are about 40 countries that have CDMA networks in addition to GSM. Verizon should have the list on their web site. In addtion, the phone is locked to Verizon, so anywhere you go you will be paying roaming rates, which will quickly bankrupt you.
If you take the phone with you turn off Cellular Data and use only WiFi hotspots. You will not be able to make or receive phone calls, but in most countries you can buy a cheap phone ($10-$20) and pay as you go SIM to make phone calls. If you want to receive phone calls also sign up for a free Google Voice account and set it to forward to your temporary GSM phone.

  • I received a text today while at work about iCloud keychain verification code. I have not signed up for it or anything that uses it. I work out of the city with limited internet access so not sure why I would be getting this. Is my info safe??

I received a text today while at work about iCloud keychain verification code. I have not signed up for it or anything that uses it. I work out of the city with limited internet access so not sure why I would be getting this. I only got this number about a month ago. Apparently someone else had the number before because I get texts from his family members wondering whats going on. I got one yesterday and the person didn't seem to thrilled that the number was cutoff and today I got 2 texts about iCloud Keychain which I don't even know what it is. Seems suspicious to me. If the person who use to own the number is doing it he should know it is not his number anymore because he obviously didn't pay his bills.  I'm not too sure about iCloud Keychain so just want to know my info safe?? It says it can store credit card numbers which is what gets me worried. Frankly I think it's pretty stupid to save that kind if information with any kind of app. But I don't want some random person trying to access my personal information because they are bitter they lost their number.  Please let me know as soon as possible so I can change passwords or anything that is needed.
    thanks

If it were me, I would go to my carrier and get a new number. Since you have only had it for a month, the inconvenience would be minimal.

  • Hello. I don't live in the U.S. and I'd like to buy a new mini IPad retina. But I see it is offered with four mobile operators. Does that mean I cannot use another operator, in my country, with it?

  • Is AirPort a cellular connection that can be used out in the country?

Can the AirPort be used out in the country?

If you are saying that you only have celllular service, you will need an adapter like the example shown below to be able to connect an AirPort Extreme.

Make sure that the device you choose will support your cellular service before you buy any product.

  • Can I use US Skype number while out of the country

Yes, you can use a US Skype Number while you're out of the country.
Even if you're overseas your friends and relatives can call your US Skype Number at local rates. When they want to call you, simply sign in to Skype and answer the call when it rings – and you pay nothing to answer the call.

  • How can I unlock my iphone to use out of the country.I have a iphone 5

Im traveling out of the country, and I need to unlock my iphone 5 to use there. How can I do that?

You don't need to unlock your iPhone if you want to use it abroad. There's roaming
If, however you want to insert a SIM card in another country, you should contact your provider. Every provider has it's specific rules for unlocking so I can't give you a general answer

  • If i buy an iphone 5s sprint can i use it for CDMA? I ask that because i went out of the country one time and used it on a CDMA network but that was my iphon 5 not an i phone 5s.

Sprint is a CDMA carrier, same as Verizon so it will work on CDMA.

  • I recently thought I lost my iPhone and I erased it but now that I found it. I cannot get the this iPhone message is lost please call ********* I am out of the country my laptop is at home. I cannot access I tune. How do I fix this. I have an iPhone 4s

I recently thought I lost my iPhone and I erased it but now that I found it. I cannot get the this iPhone message is lost please call ********* I am out of the country my laptop is at home. I cannot access I tune. How do I fix this. I need to get it back on so I can face time with my family. The phone says 3G but it keeps saying on list mode. I signed on icloud and removed it from the account and nothing. Please help!

If you removed the device from your iCloud account rather than using the "Stop Lost Mode" option, then you will most certainly need to restore the iPhone, and that will require a computer running iTunes.
