Using bridge for logging clips

Do any of you use bridge exclusively for logging in your field clips? And if so, do you know if it is possible to then print out the results in order to have a hard copy? Thanks,

I want to rotate my file on basis of Time. means if my log file name format is HH:MM then after every minute new log file should be created , i am using Size based rotation its working fine.

what i want is if file size grow with in one minute i create new file using RollingFileApender and if size doesnt grow in one minute and minute cross then next minute file should be created , how can i acheive both of these

Where do the photos imported from my xperia to my macbook using bridge for mac software get stored?

Using bridge for mac software, I tried to import photos from my xperia to my macbook. It was shown that the import was successful. But I cant find the imported pictures in my iPhotos folder or anywhere else. Why is it so?

Change setings for logged clips?

Hello-
I've just logged a ton of footage but have just now realized that I've logged all of my clips with 16 tracks of audio, when I only need 2. This a problem because if I capture with 16 tracks of audio, my capture will stutter and drop frames.
How do I change the audio settings of logged, un-digitized clips in my bin?

Figured it out:
1) Change my capture settings to what I wanted (1V, 2A)
2) Select the bin I want to capture
3) Right click, select "Batch Capture"
4) In Batch Capture Window, UN-check the box for "Use logged clip settings"
5) FCP will then capture at whatever your current settings are

I want to Host my Shared Variables on a cRIO, but use DSC for Logging/Alarming/SCADA

Hi everyone,
What I'm trying to do is this:
-Host shared variables on my RT targets (cRIO-9022) for reliability
-Use the DSC module to log to database, track Alarms, develop distributed HMI
The problem I'm running into is that the DSC engine (it seems) needs the shared variables it is monitoring to be hosted on that computer. The DSC engine can not run on a real-time target.
My end goal is to create a plant-wide network of cRIO's that are all linked back to a central server/PC that runs DSC to collect and stores data in a database. The plant HMI would also connect to the central server and get their information from there (not directly connected to the cRIO process). Is this possible/does any one have ideas on how to do this efficiently?

Thanks for the input. I tried to create a test project for this type of architecture (bound NSV's) but am running into some errors.
I have attached a screenshot of the project and front panel showing the binding status of each variable **see attached picture**
Hosted on PC:
-Clone (Variable1) ---- This is bound to Variable1 on cRIo using the "Create Bound Variables" option in the Library
-Variable3
Hosted on cRIO
-Variable1
As you can see, when I drag variable 1 directly onto the PC front panel, the variable connects (indicator is green). Likewise, when I host Variable3 on the PC and drag it to the front panel, it connects. However, when I drag the Clone (variable bound to Variable1 on cRIO) onto the front panel, it cannot connect. Any thoughts?

I would like to use Ethernet instead of wifi. My Mac mini is upstairs, my router is downstairs. I have an old spare router, can I possibly use this with an Ethernet cable, or do I have to connect it to the router downstairs or to the phone jack. If this is not the solution, can you advise of any other way please.

Your downstairs router can be installed anywhere in your home, but telephone companies or ISPs are only obligated to install their equipment just barely inside its service entrance. Usually, that location is the worst possible one for a home network, since it's in a basement or some remote corner, far from all the devices that use it.
Your idea to install an Ethernet cable to extend its reach to a more suitable location is an excellent one and will be worth the effort or expense. If you don't want to do it yourself a qualified electrician can perform the work quickly and elegantly, and you may find the cost surprisingly affordable. Ask your friends and neighbors to recommend a reputable electrician and get a written estimate.

Problems with Bridge for Mac 3.7

I've been using Bridge for Mac for a while without any problems, but since it downloaded the 3.7 update it won't recognize my phone. When I connect, it thinks for a few seconds, then says it cannot connect. I've tried deleting and redownloading the app, and deleting any relevant system files I can find. If I connect it in Windows with the same cable and through the same USB port, PC Companion recognizes it no problem. Any idea what's going on here?

I'm sorry Bridge isn't working for you, and I understand you're upset.
Could you please send me error logs that I can forward to the development crew? Otherwise it's near impossible to tell what's causing your problems.
Here’s how to get error logs from Sony Bridge for Mac:
1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Export logs"
4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
5. PM that file to me or post the contents here

Sony Bridge for Mac not transferring all music

Hello I am experiencing a problem with transferring music from my Mac to my Xperia T. For some reason some of my music is "grayed out" in Bridge for Mac whilst others appear a more light font colour which I am able to drag and drop to sync to my Xperia phone. I have tried putting my music into a playlist in itunes which bridge for mac seems to detect and sync however when i go into my phone and access the playlist it says "no content available" any idea why this is? It's not DRM related because some of the music are my own productions and other DRM free files. I have also tried moving my music into the folders in which my available music is stored and that too does not work. Any help? Can't seem to find anything about this online. I am using Bridge for Mac version 3.4 thanks

Shortcut for capture 'clip'

I'm trying to setup a shuttle wheel. One of the shortcuts I'd like to use is for thr 'clip' button on the Log'n'Cap window but I can't find any reference to one?
I've found 'Log Clip', capture 'Now' and capture 'Batch' but no 'clip'?

If you have in and out points, NOW will capture a selected clip.

My employers are making the move over to CS6 and it has fallen to me to manage a sizeable amount of media. We have around 200 2TB bare drives of old footage that needs to be organized in one central and searchable database. So my question is this: is Bridge the right program for this? Or is Prelude better suited to this task? Your input and suggestions are appreciated.

I would probably use Bridge for this. I've also seen it suggested that Lightroom might work.

Bridge for Mac did not work for itune transfer

Tried to use Bridge for Mac to transfer itune music to newly purchased xperia z2, but did not work! Anyone done it successfully?

1. What format were the songs that you were trying to transfer in? .mp3 etc?
2. Are you connecting your phone in MTP or MSC mode?
3. How much available memory does your phone have?
4. What's your phone and build version?
5. What's your android version, Bridge for Mac version and Mac OSX version?

Using Bridge in CS5 Extended

I am using CS 5 Extended, OS Lion, on an iMac. Recently used Bridge to sort several hundred 35mm slides that were digitally processed using a professional service. I transferred the digitized files to a "master" file in Finder on the computer and set up multiple subfolders in Finder to sort the files into easily identifiable events. I used Bridge like a light table to transfer the individual slides from the "master" file into the individual subfolders. In Bridge I can see both the master file and the subfolders in the side window. In Bridge I transferred the individual sldes from the master file to the correct subfolder using the drag and drop method. I used Bridge to further sort inside the individual subfolders and rename the files inside the subfolders. When I was done, Bridge did not show any slides in the master file - all files had been transferred to the subfolders. In Finder I can still see all the files in the "master file" and also all the files that have been transferred to the subfolders. Bridge still will not "see" any files in the "master file". In Finder, are the files in the subfolders "copies'? Is this a proper way to use Bridge for sorting ? In there a better method?

Bridge should see the samething as Finder, they are both essentially the same type of application. The question is really what are we seeing in Bridge and what are we seeing in Finder. Maybe from a certain point of view they are both showing things correctly, depending on what really going on in with the files and with the settings of each application.
Could you post a screen shot of both Finder and Bridge showing this "master" location.
