Using Bridge without other CS3 Applications?

I work for a advertising company, and we have project managers that need access to the creative assets on a centralized server running Version Cue Server CS3. It would be ideal if they could access the server via Bridge for PC or Mac, but obviously they don't need any of the other CS3 applications.
Is it possible to run/install just Bridge? If so, what is the best way to purchase licenses for Bridge if we don't need any of the other CS3 applications?

You can't buy Bridge by itself.
And what's the point of wanting to view a thumbnail or preview if you don't have the application to open the image anyway?
Photoshop comes with Bridge, so you don't need the whole suite.

Using mdb without other ejbs

I have a message queue(with some XML files) and i am trying to write a mdb so that it can access that asynchronously and pass it to another java class for further processing.
My project is not using EJB and i am not so proficient in ejbs.
I DO NOT want to use any of those bmp or cmp but only mdb.I am still not able to get the exact design.Should i pass the data from mdb to servlet or from mdb directly to my model class.
Most of the info suggest/show examples of mdb along with session/entity beans.Can mdb function without other ejbs (except ejb container)?
Can someone suggest the best practices based on the above requirements? Sample code would be appreciative.

A MDB is essentially a piece of code that is automatically executed when a message is received from a JMS queue or topic. You can invoke a session bean from a MDB but you don't have to. You can do all the message processing in the MDB if you want to. You could, for example, transform the data, send another message, and write to a database, all from within the MDB.
A Servlet is essentially a piece of code that is automatically executed when a HTTP request (usually a GET or POST) is received, typically (but not necessarily) from a web browser.
You wouldn't normally invoke a servlet directly from a MDB, although it would be technically possible. More common is to do the oppsite, have a servlet that receives a HTTP request, extracts the information, and writes it to a JMS queue. A little later a MDB receives this message and processes it.

CS4 - using bridge as a DAM application? (metadata question)

Hello,
I work within the marketing department of a jewelry company that has about 50,000 images on a shared drive and server. There are 10 of us, and we are all running CS4.
I am wondering, is there ANY way, that if I apply metadata/keywords to a photograph, that I could possibly share that information with other users in my work group? So far, I am able to add keywords to my jewelry very easily, but have not been able to access it in a differnet computer connected to the same server. Any way we could do this? Is there any plug-in or simple application that would enable bridge to do this?

Thanks for doing that search for me- I got some good information out of it. But unfortunately, it still doesn't work right. Even by exporting my Keyword list and cache, other users can not find my files unless they have already previously opened the image once. Very frustrating! I read this, but I don't understand it:
"As I understand it, indexing builds a database that P Bridge uses to find files and match them to thumbnails. It seems that Bridge doesnt use the operating system FAT or file table when it does searches. When searching for a file, Bridge goes to its index to look for it, not the operating system. If its not in the index, bridge cant find it unless you tell it to look for in the un-index files, then it goes to the operating systems file system."

Some workstations not allowing Adobe Bridge CS3 application launch

Hi all.
I'm pretty new at helping manage a MIDI/art lab at a high school campus (not new to Macs, but new to this issue).
We have a student login for an art class where students should have complete access to the Adobe CS3 suite of applications. The account is logging in on a server, running apps on the local hard drives, and an entire class of students all log in at once. We've tried to keep all the iMacs current in terms of Adobe updates and other software updates.
The problem is this: there are four iMacs which - in spite of all updates being equal, and the fact that all users are logging into a network account (thus all having the same set of rules, permissions, and restrictions) - fail to allow students to use Adobe Bridge. At these four stations, launching Bridge gets this error:
+*The Application "Bridge CS3" is not allowed.*+
+"Bridge CS3"is not on the approved list of applications. Contact the person who set up your account for more information.+
We've tried several things, including running Adobe updater (again), Apple software update, and resetting/trashing Bridge's prefs.
Again, every user should be experiencing the same permissions and restrictions, and this issue seems to be tied to hardware as it only applies on four of the iMacs. Logging in as an administrator or a local account with full permission allows clear access to Bridge. However, we need the Art Class account to work on all our stations as students use Bridge regularly for class.
Any input and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
(By the way, these are Intel iMacs running, I would presume, Snow Leopard. The model and OS info shown below are my machine, not the lab stations.)

It was only Bridge who was crashing. It failed to load and Windows was giving an error message.
I tried your suggestion, and resetting all options in the reset window it now loads. It was as simple as that.

How to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO

Hi,
We are attempting to run a web application on SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP1 which uses Tuscany SDO. As it now stands We must use Tuscany because the web application will not run with the SAP SDO implementation provided by Netweaver. To ensure that Tuscany is loaded with priority, we have packaged the Tuscany JAR files and their dependencies as a heavy resource, as described here:

The final check showed that Tuscany was correctly deployed as a heavy resource and included the following JAR files:

We also verified that the web application using Tuscany has a hard reference to the Tuscany heavy resource.
However, when we try to run the web application, the following error is logged: java.lang.LinkageError: Class commonj/sdo/DataGraph violates loader constraints
The issue is definitely due to some kind of classloading conflict with the SAP SDO library, as the application runs normally when SAP SDO is manually removed from the classpath. Doing this on a production system is unfortunately not an option, though.
So the question is: how to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO?

I took a look at the "printerReady" example. Looks like I may be able to use the InetPing (...) function to ping through a range of IP addresses looking for a response.
Any ideas on how to find the MAC address associated with the IP addresses that respond?
We may have multiple units responding and the MAC address will allow the operator to determing which unit to connect to.
I'll try the InetPing to see how it works,

If you're a paying Creative Cloud member, you may not see Lightroom in the Creative Cloud if your computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements. Check to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements for the latest release of Lightroom.

Had my 8800GT start to fail on me in my MacPro1,1 - in desperation I disassembled the card, cleaned it, applied fresh thermal compound/padding, and stuck it back in. To my amazement the card actually began working again! Before failing a few days later ; ;.
I ordered a replacement 8800GT on ebay for a considerably low cost, but before it arrived my computer began behaving normally again. From what I'm understanding from this thread, there is absolutely no benefit to installing both cards in my computer at the same time? If that's the case, I'm going to tuck the backup card away and keep riding my self-repaired card until it crashes again.

I would first of all trash the preference file for InDesign, make sure the application is closed then find the prefs in
/Users/USER NAME/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign and just throw the entire folder away, it will generate a new one after you launch InDesign again.
Now launch InDesign and see if the problems are resolved.
If not I would repair your permissions on your hard drive wih disk utility, and if that fails then di-install InDesign and re-install that single application.
Let me know if any of these suggestions work for you

I found an api to operate ADS in java in package com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.adobe.pdfdocument.api, but its api included in tc/wd/api development component and not available in other apps except WDJ.

Hello, I'm trying to use my MAC Book Pro with Adobe FMLE. Once I select either my internal or external camera and microphone, in the live encoder I get this error message. "Please check if video devices are connected properly and are not used by any other application." The Facetime HD camera works in Photo Booth. We found the solution for this issue .
We have installed the crypto library in global executable directory and any way it will replicate those binaries to individual application servers.
But the parameters are still looking for global executable directory for loading crypto library during time.
So all application servers are trying to load crypto library files from global "exe" instead of local directory, which was clustered .Sometimes during heavy network load it may cause some delays to load the libraries to individual application servers and in turn is causing the license key issues.
Note 982056 - The license key library has not been initialized yet..
SAP Recommend option for all SSF parameters should be instance profile parameters not in default parameters..This was mentioned in below note:
Note 662340 - SSF Encryption Using the SAPCryptolib --- .
But in our Environment SSF and SEC parameter were set in DEFAULT profile instead Instance profile.
Recommendations:
o ssf/ssfapi_lib = <Path and file name of SAPCRYPTOLIB>
o sec/libsapsecu = <Path and file name of SAPCRYPTOLIB>
