Using BT email with Android & Thunderbird

Is it possible to use BT email with Thunderbird and to set up the bt email address on my android mobile?
Do I need any settings at all?

I use thunderbird without any proiblem.
I personally don't let TB set up my email address configuration, and do it myself.
Things to check in the TB account setting :-
1. Name - doesn't really matter
2. Email address - make sure that it's your full @btinternet.com email address
3. (Server settings) - server name: mail.btinternet.com, port 110 / username - can be the whole @btinternet.com email address
security settings - Connection security - None, Password authentication Password, transmitted insecurely
That's for incoming mail.

Sending email with outlook, thunderbird, eudora.....

this is a problem that has lasted over a month now. spoiled, aren't we. want instant answers just like fast connections. i have been all over the net, on the phone muliple times with verizon tech support, had our computer wiped, and reinstalled OS xp. reinstalled router, modem and everything else. we can go online to our email addresses using verizon webmail and can receive and send. using the downloaded programs listed above mail will receive, but not send. i have set, reset, re re set the accounts ad nausium and cannot get these programs to send. NEVER had this happen before. even outlook express won't work. windows support, thunderbird and eudora support, even outlook support have no answers. verizon obviously has no answers either. dial up is starting to sound like a good option but who wants to go backwards! help?

Can I use Photoshop Touch with Android 4.0.4 ?

Can someone advise if I can use my Samsung Galaxy Tablet (GT-P3110) which uses Androis version 4.0.4 to use Photoshop Touch?

I've been searching for a tablet to take with my while traveling. I'd like to mainly view photos, maybe doing some limited editing and 'save as.' Recommendations and cautions about Android tablets are all over the board, but it genearlly seems:
With Nexus tablets I've been told you will need the Media Importer app to create folders, access the files on your memory card, etc.
If you want to view or work with files from your memory card/camera, ook for a tablet that has either a microUSB or a USB port (very few have these) to plug your memory card into. For the microUSB port, you'll need a microUSB-to-USB converter so you can plug in your USB card reader.
Note that some tablets don't even have these ports, but only a port for docking or for video, in which case you'll have to see if the docking port has a USB port, which means you're carrying around another piece of equipment, so you might not want to go that route.
I'm not clear on this, but I've been told that some manufacture's versoins of Android don't allow you to create or access file folders, as in the Nexus. Not sure how wide-spread this is.
And of course, if you're wanting to work directly from photos in your camera or on your memory card, don't get a tablet that will only allow you to access files and programs via 'the cloud.'
I have list at home of some tablets I think will meet all of the needs for what I want to do. I'll post it later today for comments.

The only way is to go to Settings>Mail>the mail account and turn off the account.
Then go to Settings>General>Restrictions and set the restruction that prevents changing accounts. Y will have to unset the restrictions to use the account.

ICloud email with Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook 2011

Ever since I migrated to iCloud I haven't been able to get my email to work in Mozilla Thunderbird. I've tried Outlook 2011 as well, which seems to work fine on my macbook, but not on my other mac or even my windows VMs. The account won't work in Thunderbird on my macbook either.
I've tried just about everything. I've tried deleting my old profile in Thunderbird and starting from scratch, I've tried different servers (Mail.app says I'm on p99-imap.mail.me.com), different ports, usernames, etc. I've even tried changing my password, but all that's resulted in is my Apple Account password changing but my iCloud password didn't (no idea how this happened).
I'm getting really frustrated. My whole contact list is in Thunderbird, and I really don't like how Mail.app works.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Cant send or receive emails with my nokia 300

my email is with slingshot so i go to messaging and setup my email address in other since slingshot comes under other email providers.... i put in my email addy and password and the phone accepts it and takes me to my inbox but when i try to send and receive emails it comes up and says >> could not send email,please try again....
i have spent about 4 hours on the phone 3 times to nokia in the phillipines of all places and they cant even help me get it working..... yet when i put in my hotmail addy it sends and receives straight away...
I have spoken to slingshot and vodafone & i have got the incoming and outgoing mail server details correct but the phone wont let me put them in the details for incoming and outgoing servers.... HOW STUPID IS THAT ????
the only way it will let me enter those details is by putting my email addy in wrong and then it lets me do it but then my email addy is wrong...cant bloody win

Send Email with Attachment Callable Object

Hello,
I have a GP Application where i have 2 steps....in the first action the initiator attaches a document through standard GP functionality......i want to send this attachment to the approver alongwith the email i am already sending using 'Send email with Attachment (optional)' callable obejct.....how can i implement this....?

Well, if i really undestand your question, i think you resolve it using callable object mail with attachment, you said that do it, so, you only need to configure your smtp on youser server and you don´t need more work.
Please write any doubts.

Email with Attachments - the FROM address

Hello,
I am using the Email with Attachments QPAC and filled out the FROM tab with my email address that I want to use. However, when the email is sent, the FROM email being used is the one that is configured for the Workflow Server. So, why is the FROM address specified in the QPAC not being used or what is the point of this From tab? I would assume we can specify something differently from the Workflow Server's email?

There is some weirdness in the logic of the Email QPAC.
Populate the "Login Name" field in the QPAC with some dummy data, and then uncheck the checkbox that says "Use Authentication". The QPAC will ignore the Login name, but will start observing the from address.
Weird, but it seems to work.

Messages sent with Thunderbird do not get to recipient, but I can use other email clients that do. Settings are correct and I can check webmail and see in sent.

When I send an email it says that it is sent, but it never gets to the recipient. I am using multiple email addresses to check this and have looked in spam and all folders and the message is just not actually going through. I can log in to web-mail and the message appears in the sent folder and I can resend from web-mail and instantly the mail is received. I also installed another email client program and it is able to send mails and they go through instantly. Only Thunderbird is having issues with this. I have tried uninstalling and rebooting and then re-installing and after setup I still can not get emails to go through. If this is something simple with a setting for Thunderbird I would love a fix as we have been using Thunderbird for 6+ years. Otherwise I will just have to use the other program as it works with no mess

Thank you for your question. I understand that there are two devices that are logged into the Sync account. However the Android is not syncing.
There are two places we can check:
# In the Android Settings, under accounts is the attached account Firefox Sync or Firefox Sync (deprecated)?
# Do the login credentials work on accounts.firefox.com on the mobile device and are there any error messages on the Sync menu from Settings > Sync?

I am using a mac mini (10.8.3) with Mac Mail 6.3 (1503). Whenever I try to forward an email with attachments, the attachments do not make it. They show being sent, but the attachments never are sent.

The title says it all. Whenever I receive an email with attachments, I will try to forward the email to someone with the attachments. Mac Mail shows that the attachments are attached, but the receiver says the attachments are not there. Our mail host is Rackspace. We are setup with IMAP. It should be noted that we are experiencing similar issues with OS 10.5.8 with Mac Mail 3.6 (936).
We assumed Rackspace was the problem, so we logged into their webmail portal and tested it and the attachments were received as normal, which points everything back to Mac Mail. We even had an ISP change but the problem do not change.
I have researched the problem, and there seems to be evidence of this being a known bug with Mac Mail, but I am hoping there is a workaround. The company is unwilling to move to a different mail client since they use Daylite 4, which does not support Thunderbird.

Back up all data.
1. Triple-click the line below to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder may open, or you may get an error message that the item can't be found. Either result is normal. If the folder does open and has contents, move the contents to the Desktop. Relaunch Mail and test. If there's no change, put the contents of the folder back and quit Mail again.
2. Repeat with this line:
/Library/Mail/Bundles
This time you may be prompted for your login password when you remove the items. Make sure they're removed from the folder and not just copied to the Desktop. If necessary, copy them first and then move the originals to the Trash.

All emails in Mail, Thunderbird and Postbox show only this example date in System Prefs 05.01.2013. Skype has the same error in short messages. Only Mail Pilot has the correct dates. I'm using Mavericks
