Using BT Fon at home

Hi, I have started to use BT Fon in an upstairs bedroom where the wifi can't reach, mainly for a quick social media catch up. I have read some things on the internet which suggest that this could eat into my neighbours data usage for the month.
Is ok to use BT Fon at home for purpose noted? Will it affect my immediate neighbours?

No it will not affect your neighbours usage, but you will eventually run out of WiFi minutes.
Why not extend your own wifi to upstairs, using one of the products from the BT Shop?

Using Family Share or Home Share with Windows 8? If so, what is my best option and how do I set it up??

I would like to use either Family Share or home share. If I use a pc/laptop with Windows 8, will I be able to use these programs, or do I have to use an Apple device initially? I have an iTunes acct,that I share w/my daughter. However, I would like for us, to each have our own account, and yet share music when we want to.So,am I better off using Family Share or Home Share? We have a lot of music that we have bought together over the years, and I don't want either of us to lose out on those purchases. Yet, I also don't necessarily want all of the music that she buys, and she doesn't want all the music that I buy. If either of these are an option, how do I go about setting it up? In that case, it should be possible. I haven't tried this directly, but I believe it should work.
You'll need to get an actual AirPrint compatible Printer.

Once you have the compatible printer, using the Hotspot feature from the iPhone he'll have to create the Wifi bubble form the iPhone, and connect the Printer to that Wifi network.
Then connect the iPad to that same Wifi network provided by the iPhone. When all that is done, the printer should appear in any of the Apps that can Print under the Action Arrow button.
For instance in email, pressing the action arrow should show a Print option. In there the printer should appear.
Alternatively you can simply buy a wireless router and setup the network through there even if there is no internet attached. Connect the wireless printer to the router network, and connect the iPad or iPhone to that same wifi network to print.

Im using windows xp at home and though maybe it was because of that. so went to a relatives and used a brand new lap top avus with windows 7 and it wont show up here either. When i got the ipod a few days ago from a third party the only screen i could get to come up was a picture of a usb cord with an arrow pointing towards the itunes logo. I downloaded i tunes and couldn't get it to change. brought it to at&t store today they hooked it up with my usb cord to thier computer and suddenly the menu screens work and i could even get online with it yet when i try to hook it up to one of my computers it doesn't show up anywere where can i go to get this fixed and fixed quick jumping around the apple help pages have put me in a foul mood and im sick of it two days spent trying to get it to show now. im sick of waiting around i need help asap so i can return this **** thing if it turns out it is broken somehow..which i dont think it is.

I already tried the following:
a. Turned the phone off and then on.
b. Checked all wifi connections – no problem given that all our laptops and desktops can connect seamlessly.
c. I tried restoring the phone to original factory settings via itunes
d. Tried resetting the phone.
e. Tried different microsims from all networks
f. However, all methods failed given that the network reception is very weak and often reflects – “no service”. And with regards to the wifi reception It has difficulty in reading even the signal right in front of the wifi router.
I went to two Apple resellers here in Bangkok and requested that they please look at my Iphone and have it serviced. I was frustrated when they said that given that I bought my phone in Canada, they are not able to support me and should instead try to contact the Apple store in Canada.
I went to apple.ca website and went to the expresslane support and I was said to register and callback. Tried calling the 1800 number but given that I was in Thailand I had difficulty getting a connection.

Staying signed in at iCloud.com is not a problem for me. Try resetting your browser or emptying its cache.

When I connect to wi fi does my 3G automatically switch off. As I seem to be using a lot of my data when using wi fi at home

As far as I know, when you have a WiFi-connection all data will go through WiFi and therefor will NOT use your 3G data.

Cloud accounts are multi-platform.
You have a maximum of two activations but can use them on Win/Win or Mac/Mac or Win/Mac. The choice is yours.

I suspect you had the same issue I did and downloaded the 64-bit version of the OpenSC libraries, but your firefox is 32-bit. You can see the opensc-pkcs11.dll in the System32 folder via windows explorer, but when you browse that directory via firefox to add the module, you are acutally being redirected to the SysWOW64 directory. Try intstalling the 32-bit OpenSC libraries, and adding the appropriate library from the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory.

Here is something that you can try:
# Click on Tools and then click Options.
# Select the Advanced panel
# Select the General tab
# Uncheck Use hardware acceleration where available.
# Click File and then click Exit.
# Start Firefox normally.
Once you have followed those steps, you'll want to follow these as well and see if the lines are gone.
Click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
Let me know if this has eliminated the problem.

I use Yahoo as my home page. As soon as I left it, the screen was grabbed by something that took it to a page including "adap.tv" in the URL. Help!

I use current version of Firefox on a Windows XP desktop machine. I normally use Yahoo as my home page and Firefox as my browser. Starting a few weeks ago, when I clicked on a link on the main Yahoo page, I would get about one second of whatever it was I wanted to read or see then another screen that included "adap.tv" in the very long URL would replace it. Starting yesterday, this program began to override the security settings in Firefox that told it to NOT change the home page and I now get about one second of Yahoo before it switches to a page with "adap.tv" in the "URL". I have reloaded Firefox without success.

The "Use custom settings for history" setting allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting that setting doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.<br />
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.<br />
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".<br />

After the Apple logo appears, what happens then? Can you hear any sounds or if you tap on the screen, does it seem like apps can open or are you just seeing a black screen? You might have a hardware problem, but you can try restoring the software and see what happens.
Read this in its entirety before you do anything. Make sure you read the sections at the end about using recovery mode.
