Using BT sport app or online Service whilst in USA

If I wanted to View Footbal or Rugby whilst on Holiday in the USA could I use the APP on my phone
Or go on line witha PC in the Hotel and View
or would BT block as I am outside the UK,
Going in Sept and want to watch som UK sport

You could of course set up a VPN to use outside the UK, which is not allowed in the T&C but it works. As long as you don't tell bt or ask for support. lol
sky twitter account a customer ask why sky go streams are worst then sd and yet bt and eurosports apps stream in hd. Reply from mod, oh thats easy the files for hd are some huge that sky go can't play them and no app can stream hd due to this and so when they say they are they're really sd streams, if there was any way around this we would have done it now.

I've been trying to login to the BT Sport app and keep getting told that I haven't activated it yet. I'm shown an activate button and when I press it I'm taken to a site where I have to log in using my My BT credentials. Upon logging in I'm shown the following message:

The message is completely nonsensical as I the account holder and I've logged in with valid credentials. I tried calling the helpline and am still waiting for someone to call me back, even though I called them two hours ago. What awful service.

Welcome to the community forum. Do you have more than 1 BT ID? It sounds like you have another ID that has been set up with account holder status. I can take a look at this for you. Please send me in your details using the "Contact The Mods" link found in my profile.

The documen t was originally created with Word (*.doc) then printed to PDF format; now I need to convert back to Work, but I get the "Conversion Failure" error message, both on conversion back to *.Doc format and attempt to convert to *.docx format.

How large is the PDF that you're trying to convert? How did you generate the PDF from Word (did you use Acrobat, or Word's built-in PDF generator)? What version of Word are you using?
The answers to those questions should help us get to the bottom of things.
In the meantime, please try the following:
Clear the browser cache and log back in to https://cloud.acrobat.com.
Try a different web browser (see System Requirements | Adobe Acrobat Pro and Online Services for a list of supported browsers).
Try to convert a different file (if you can convert another file without error, the one you're receiving the error on may be damaged).

Appalling buffering using BT sport app

I have a Ultrafast Galaxy S3 and when trying to view the BT Sport app, get too frequent buffering, which yoy may say is down to the speed of service from my mobile supplier. I very much doubt this because I have checked my Sky Go app at same time and no buffering. It would appear to me that therefore your streaming service is nowhere as good as your competitors. When can I expect at least the same level of service as elsewhere ?

As it works for me and many others then there is not a problem with the app so maybe need to look for another cause of your problem

Odata Connection Refresh Error while using excel web app - Project Online 2013

I am trying to work with odata reporting on project online 2013. I am not using MS Excel client, I open any of the available default report in excel online. when i try to refresh data connection from data tab. it's giving me an error
as show below

I have already enabled "PWA for excel web app refresh" feature.
Following the blog instructions and microsoft support, i have tried to grant permission to
AppId= 00000009-0000-0000-c000-000000000000
And In the Permission Request XML field, copy and paste the following XML:

I again go to my BI reporting, open my report in excel online and refresh the data connection and nothing changed. It's giving me the same error.

Ok, why did manually add / update the permission XML? Do you get this error for new Excel based reports? Test creating a new one, example here:

Using Time Machine with Online Service like Mozy or Carbonite

Can anyone advise me on whether or not I can use Time Machine with a Online Service provider like Carbonite or Mozy. I'm looking for best practices assuming it works at all.

No, Time Machine because of the way it's written will only work wirelessly with the Time Capsule device. Althought it's not supported i've seen instances where you can use a third party router with an external HD to back up, but most of the time you won't actually be able to do a restore of the OS/individual files. Online storage is to say basically; completely out. Hope this answers your question

Can I get the BT Sport App if I order BT Sport on ...

I'd just like a bit of help clarifying something up as i'm struggling to understand how this works, so i've looked at the FAQ about the BT Sport App and found this:
Who can get the BT Sport App?
The BT Sport App and online access at btsport.com is included when you take the BT Sport Pack on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform or BT TV.
If you're a BT Broadband customer but not a BT Sport television channel subscriber, you can add the BT Sport App and online access to your BT products by logging into My BT on or after 1 August. Then simply download the app from your device's app store, or go to btsport.com from 1 August to start viewing.
Now I don't have BT Broadband/TV or anything but i'd really like to get BT Sport as it's now my only way to watch UFC, my grandad has Sky TV with sky sports at the moment and I use his Sky Go to watch the footy
If I order BT Sport from his Sky account and pay the 12£ per month for bt sport, can I use the BT Sport App to watch the UFC/Footy etc?
Can I get the BT Sport App if I order BT Sport on Sky is what i'm basically asking haha

Windows 8.1 Sports App is not opening

Hello, i'm use windows 8.1 and was trying to use the Sports App, when i click in the App just stays in the trophee screen for a few seconds and then comes back to the all metro apps WHY?.
I remove the App and Reinstall but nothing.

What are the performance implications moving apps using cloud drive to Azure File Services?

I run a number of cloud services with 5 or more nodes in using cloud drives. Cloud drive is scheduled to be deprecated in 2015. So I am thinking of replacing the cloud drive with Azure Files service.
For each cloud service I am using one storage account to create all the the VHD/cloud drives. Some people at the time when cloud drive first appeared, told me that to get better performance, I should create only one VHD/Cloud Drive
under only one storage account. For example, if I have five instances under a worker role then I should create 5 storage accounts and create one VHD/Cloud Drive under each storage account to be used by each node. I didn't follow that route because I was satisfied
with the performance of the apps under cloud services having all VHD/Cloud Drives under one storage account.
My question is, if I replace cloud drive with Azure file services, will my apps perform well having all shares under one storage account or create one storage account for each share?

@Naziq, It is better to have multiple shares under single storage account and there is no perf implications. However, please ensure that your ingress/egress and request/sec is within
the limits of a single storage account (seemsdn.microsoft.com/.../dn249410.aspx)
and use multiple storage accounts if you need to scale beyond the limits.

See if mail.app's Connection Doctor has any useful info. Does it's status indicate all is ok? When you use it's Show Detail are there any (useful) error messages?

No. Safari does not have the option to attach files for uploading other than photos.
Look at iCab Mobile in the App Store. There are other browsers that may do this, but I'm pretty sure that iCab will fill the need.

Storing PDF documents not using online services

I want to create PDF documents but do not want them stored online or use online services since I bought the PDF package.
Im wanting to know is there a setting to turn off so that my documents are not stored/saved online.

What PDF package? Well, all online services do store data online until you delete them.
If you do not want to do anything online, use Acrobat.

SSL Error while Consuming Java build SOAP services using Dotnet Console App

Hi, I want to consume a SOAP service developed in JAVA. I don't have any control on Service side. I have to just consume the SOAP service using my client Application which is in DotNet Console Application using C#. Here is the detail about the service:
1. The service has SSL configured.
2. End point looks like: https://xyz.com:443
3. I am able to connect the service using SOAP UI Tool by configuring the Tool with the certs given by Java developer.
4. Basically there are two certs used, one for "client authentication" purpose and the second cert is for "WS security" purpose.
5. When i add the WSDL to my client app as a service Reference, the generated App.config file looks as shown below:

Why has my 8x8 desktop app on my Macbook Pro running OS X Yosimite 10.10.1 suddenly stopped working while the app on my iPhone and the online service both work fine?

Why has my 8x8 desktop app on my Macbook Pro running OS X Yosimite 10.10.1 suddenly stopped working while the app on my iPhone and the online service both work fine? Is this because of some recent software update by Apple? 8x8 support acknowledges issues with no current work-arounds? The 8x8 desktop app worked until early December, then quit. I've deleted and re-downloaded the app, but no difference.

The solution is :
1. Delete iPhone configuration utility. Just drop it to the trash
2. Run
sudo rm -rf /private/var/db/receipts/com.apple.pkg.iPhoneConfigurationUtility.*
rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iPhoneConfigurationUtility.plist*
3. Delete the whole folder: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext
4. Reinstall iTunes (just over the previous one)
5. Restart
