Using bus in the Output channel
Hi there, what's the deal with using the bus instead of Output ? In which case can we use this, in order of what?
Thanks
Are you referring to submixes, for example? Let's say you have 8 drum tracks. Select each of the drum tracks to (say) Bus 1 instead of Output 1-2. Now you can set individual levels of your drums, but control the overall level of your drums with the fader on an Aux object that has Bus 1 selected as its input. The output of the Aux would be 1-2.

Useful list of the Freeview channels as of 1st OCt
A useful list of the Freeview channels as of 1st OCt is at
http://www.freeview.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Freeview-Channel-Guide_1-Oct.pdf
Of course it gets quickly outdated ... eg when ITV Be starts on channel 26 on 8th OCt.
However it does list the various regional and local variants fairly clearly.Sadly as I am on a Relay transmitter that is more like a wishlist! I get 24 channels and that includes SD/HD duplicates. Luckily I still have my old Sky box for the likes of ITV3&4, 5USA etc. could have sworn when the digital switchover took place I read somewhere that Relays would be upgraded too but no sign of that ever happening.

Cannot use tool because the target channel is hidden
When I return to a previouse Layer and attempt to alter the Layer I receive the same Error "Could not use Blah Blah because the target channel is hidden. This happens with Erasure, Selection too;, Move tool, Pencil, Paintbrush and so on. What is happening and what do I do to fix it?
Are the composite Channels selected (Red, Green and Blue for RGB, Cyan, Magenty, Yellow and Black for CMYK etc.)?
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels visible? -
Without using applets geting the output into a javascript variable
Hi,
I'm not using executeCommand applets in my webpage,but with the url
i'm running the transaction. I'm passing the url to iframe as a <b>src</b> in the same page itself. like
<b>document.getElementById("<iframe>").src="http://localhost/Lighthammer/Runner?Transaction=<Transaction_Name>&<Input_params>=<value>&OutputParameter=*"</b>. It will take 10 seconds to execute the transaction and load into the iframe.
So I'm giving the
<b>SetTimeout("alert(document.getElementById('<iframe>').docuemnt.body.innerHTML",10000);</b>
In the iframe i'm able to see the output as "<u>oktransaction executed</u>" in <u>xml format</u>.
But in the alert I'm not able to see the same content. <i>In the alert I'm able to see</i>
<u><iframe id="<id of iframe>" src="<Which i set in the script>"></iframe></u>
Help me to get the OutputParameter value into a javascript variable.Rakesh,
A couple of observations:
1. Why are you calling Runner directly? You should be using an XacuteQuery template, and reference "/Lighthammer/Illuminator?QueryTemplate=Folder/TRX" syntax when changing the URL in the iFrame.
2. You are also using "localhost" which is not portable and may also be causing your problem since your parent page will be based upon the server path, whereas you are forcing the browser to load localhost content into the iFrame (which unless you are physically sitting on the xMII server itself will never work).

LV_BYTES: 0
BIN_FILE:
GT_OTFDATA: Standard Table[15x2(144)
GT_PDFDATA: Standard Table[0x2(268)]
After this function is called, the parameter value are like this:
LV_BYTES: 1774
BIN_FILE: 255044462D312E330D0A2...
GT_OTFDATA: Standard Table[15x2(144)
GT_PDFDATA: Standard Table[0x2(268)]
It looks that there is output for table lines. For download this pdf I have to get a table of pdf data.
What could be the reason for this?
Thank you.

Channel Settings and EQ in the Output 1-2 channel
I like to use some of the canned channel settings on the mixdown channel, especially the soft enhancer and the maximizers. I also like some of the channel EQ settings like final mix pop, etc. When I add the soft enhancer to the channel strip and then add the EQ, the EQ drops the volume of the channel. This seems to defeat the purpose of the enhancer or maximizer. It doesn't seem like there is a way to EQ first, then maximize. I wondered if anyone else has tried to do this, or used the channel strip settings and EQ in different ways.
Thanks.
JoeHi,
using a preset is a good way to start to understand how things work. You should take your time to discover the effect of the single elements in the channelstrip and how they are applied best.
However, you can change order of FX by dragging the plugins and holding down the CMD key.
If you select the soft enhancer first and then enable the Channel EQ, the Channel EQ will install itself as the last plugin in the chain, which is not good. The last plugin must be the limiter. That's an iron rule. So, move the channel EQ to the top and sort the other plugins in an appropriate order, with the limiter as last plugin.

In the mixer window of Logic Pro the output channel strip has moved to the middle of the audio strips. How can I move it back to its usual spot next to the master strip?
Sounds like you have created an Aux track for your Output channel strip, and the position of that track on the arrange page now determines the place of the output channel strip on your mixer. So, you'll have to move that track so it is the bottom track in the arrangement, then the output channel strip in the mixer should move to the right again.
It is a sorely missed (and often requested) feature to be able to move channel strips around freely in the mixer. -
Changing Output Channel Outputs
Hi All,
My apologies ahead of time. I am normally a Pro Tools user. But a friend of mine has borrowed my Lavry converters to use in conjunction with his Lynx Aurora, and we are just trying to get the Master Stereo pair to come out of the Lavrys.
So, as i understand it, you have your "Audio Channels" routed to a stereo "Output Channel". We want the output of the "Output Channel" to be outputs 17-18 because they are the digital outputs that the Lavrys are connected to.
How does one do that?
Thanks in advance.Hello and welcome!
Ok, if I am understanding you correctly, you should be able to select this on the channel strip. Just above the fader for each track there is a I/O, first is the input and below that is output. Click and hold the output and you should see 17-18 from the drop-down menu and select.
Hope that helps!

How to change 5.1 output channels?
I have set the output channels of 5.1 surround in the AUDIO MIDI SETUP to physical outputs 5-10. Soundtrack PRO still uses its own selection/order of 5.1 outputs (ie 1-6). How can I use other outputs of my audio interface?
Tnx,
KustavChange the outputs? ... you can't .... STP ignores the AudioMidi setup output allocations and has no internal system for assigning channel outputs to hardware outputs ... how could this be? ... how could Apple violate its own CoreAudio principles ...
The only workaround I've found is to use Cycling74's Soundflower audio routing tool ... Google it ... it's still not Leopard native, tho I think some folk have had luck with it ...
Maybe Apple will get around to adding what is essentially "basic" routing features to the next update ... -
CFP-AIO-610 electrical isolation between input and output channels
Manual states "The input and output channels of the [c]FP-AIO-610 are not electrically isolated from each other". I assume this means that the commons on the input channels are connected and the commons for the output channels are connected but it does not mean that all channels on the module are connected. Is this correct? I intend to monitor two self-powered 4-20mA signals coming from a single instrument and also send two voltage signals to a different instrument. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
RavensFan wrote:
Why do you think there aren't situations where common AI and AO references are acceptable? I think in most situations where it is already okay to use non-isolated channels, having common commons is just fine.
From the standpoint of interacting with two different instruments, such as my situation. Rarely in my experiences so far are analog communication or measurements on separate instruments going to all be referenced to the same common / earth ground. Instrument A has it's own common reference and instrument B has it's own common reference. My 20mA loop is externally powered and I can earth ground the power supply negative but the voltage output to another instrument is not but hte channels are isolated so maybe I can do it anyway. I'm hardly an expert and only trying to build my own knowledge base on how to use NI hardware. Perhaps I'm over-thinking this too much and it will work. -
Block the output in R/3 if order is not compliant
Hello All
We are currently implementing SAP GTS compliance module. To integrated SAP GTS with the rest of the solution, we want to block the output for purchase orders and sales orders and the creation of the subsequent document.
For the creation of the subsequent document, there are some SAP notes related to it and it doesn't really create an issue for us
For the output, we are currently struggling to find a correct solution
So far, we had found the oss note 900555 to block the printed output for the Purchase order but how can we do it for the others ?
In addition, I didn't find any solution for the sales orders output ( expecially we hae some EDI messages that we want to block)
Currently we were investigating an other way to do it:
- Send back a user status that we will use as condition to determine the output. We have still some concerns about this solution because it means that by default we should put this user status as "non-compliant" for all the orders and only when the status is sent back from GTS we can execute the output
An issue that raise to me also the developper is that in R/3 the output determination is executed before the first call to GTS.
I hope that some members of the community have better solution which ideally can cover PO and SO with real time call
Thank you in advance
NicolasHello Bastian,
We had the same issue and didn't find something useful to block the outputs completely.
Instead, for EDI Outputs probably you can have an extra text segment added in the idoc structure. And put the document compliant status as Yes/No in that segment. The document status will be available.
But however as we expect, the Outputs cannot be blocked. But atleast notification about the status can be sent to Third party. You can liaise with third party to have a logic implemented to check the status of this field and pass the information to destination.

Junk Characters in the Output of Reports2.5
I have created Report in Reports2.5 which is giving good output display
But when I Register the Report in Oracle Apps & see output
it shows Junk Characters in the place of Labels
e.g. Revenue Report
will come like sg0Revenue o7Report
Can any-one give me the solution for this
Regards / Shailesh ( [email protected] )This is probably due to the prt file that's being used to format the output. I'm willing to bet that the headings are in bold, and the prt file being used has includes some control characters to tell the printer to switch on and off bold - when you view the output file those are the characters you're seeing.
To switch this off simply remove the control characters from the prt file being used.
Hope this helps,

How to create a new variant and a job sheduled to use it for the exisisting programs
Hi
1. The ALV Grid Control is a tool with which you can output non-hierarchical lists in a
standardized format. The list data is displayed as a table on the screen.
The ALV Grid Control offers a range of interactive standard list functions that users need
frequently (find, sort, filter, calculate totals and subtotals, print, print preview, send list,
export list (in different formats), and so on. These functions are implemented in the
proxy object class. You as the programmer have the possibility to turn off functions not
needed. In most cases the implementations of the standard functions provided by the
control are sufficient. However, if required, you can adjust these implementations to
meet application-specific needs.
You can add self-defined functions to the toolbar, if necessary.
The ALV Grid Control allows users to adjust the layout of lists to meet their individual
requirements (for example, they can swap columns, hide columns, set filters for the
data to be displayed, calculate totals, and so on). The settings (list customizing) made
by a specific user are called a display variant. Display variants can be saved on a userspecific
or on a global basis. If such display variants exist for a list, they can be offered
to the user for selection. If a display variant is set as the default variant, the associated
list is always displayed based on the settings of this variant.
2. REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY
REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE
3. Use of Field Catalog is to determines the technical properties & add formating information of the column.
6. all the definition of internal table, structure, constants are declared in a type-pool called SLIS.
7.fieldcat-fieldname
fieldcat-ref_fieldname
fieldcat-tabname
fieldcat-seltext_m
5. Form user_command using r_ucomm like sy-ucomm rs_selfield type slis_selfield.
Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
<b>The commonly used ALV functions used for this purpose are;</b>
1. REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_DEFAULT_GET
2. REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_F4
3. REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_EXISTENCE
4. REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET
5. REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE
6. REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
7. REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
8. REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY
9. REUSE_ALV_POPUP_TO_SELECT
Purpose of the above Functions are differ not all the functions are required in all the ALV Report.
But either no.7 or No.8 is there in the Program.
<b>
How you call this function in your report?</b>
After completion of all the data fetching from the database and append this data into an Internal Table. say I_ITAB.
Then use follwing function module.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
EXPORTING
I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM = 'Prog.name'
I_STRUCTURE_NAME = 'I_ITAB'
I_DEFAULT = 'X'
I_SAVE = 'A'
TABLES
T_OUTTAB = I_ITAB.
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
WRITE: 'SY-SUBRC: ', SY-SUBRC .
ENDIF.
ENDFORM. " GET_FINAL_DATA
The object F_IT_ALV has a field, the activity ACTVT, which can
contain four permitted values: 01, 02, 03 and 70. Each of the
activities 01, 02 and 70 controls the availability of particular
functions (in the menu and the toolbar) of the ALV line item list:
a) 01: "Settings -> Display variant -> Save..."
b) 02: "Settings -> Display variant -> Current..." and
"Settings -> Display variant -> Current header rows "
c) 70: "Settings -> Display variant -> Administration..."
Activity 03 corresponds to the minimum authorization, which is the
most restricted one: The user can only select layouts which have
been configured already. In particular, all of the other functions
named above are inactive with activity 03.
Now if you want to permit a user to change the column selection and
the headers as well as to save the layout thus created, for example,
but if you do not want to permit the user to administrate the
layouts, you grant him or her the authorization for activities 01
and 02.

Specify the output date to be of a Specified date format.
DateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy");
String dateString = "12/12/2006";
Date dateStringInDateFormat = formatter.parse(dateString);
System.err.println("the date"+dateStringInDateFormat);
String str1 = formatter.format(dateStringInDateFormat);
System.err.println("the date in string format"+str1);
DateFormat df = DateFormat.getDateInstance(DateFormat.SHORT);
df.setLenient(false);
Date stick = df.parse(str1);
System.err.println("The final date to be passed"+stick);The output that i get on screen:
the date Tue Dec 12 00:00:00 GMT 2006
the date in String format 12/12/2006
The final date to be passed Tue Dec 12 00:00:00 GMT 2006
I want the final date to be passed i.e, Date stick to be 12/12/2006
Can anyone helpme in this issueDateFormats do not change what a Date object contains or how it is displayed. They are only used to format the output when you use them with format(Date). The Date object itself is unchanged and you cannot change it.
So whereever you want to display a date in your particular format you will need to use your DateFormat. -
Can the output voltage during boot-up of the CFP-AIO-610 module be held to zero?
During power on or reset of the system the analog outputs go to 10V instead of 0V. Once the system is up and resonsive the default value kicks in and the level goes to 0V. Is there a way to keep the voltage near zero during a reset?
When the voltage is reading 10V, do you have any load connected, or is the output channel connected directly your multimeter/scope? If the channel is left open, that might lead it to charge to the positive rail (10V). Try putting a resistor across the output terminals and see if it still reads 10V during boot up.
Let me know the results...
