Using CCC for the upgrade to Leopard

I know this has been covered a lot, but I want to make sure I'm getting it right.
I have used Carbon Copy Cloner to make a bootable clone of my system. Everything is there.
I plan on doing a Erase & Install of Leopard. At what point during the installation should I migrate all of my data and settings over? Is this during the actual install process using "migrate my data"? Or should I wait until Leopard is installed and running before moving all of my stuff over? Then... is it better to simply drag my data over or should I use Migration Assistant to do it?

I believe, if Leopard is like Tiger, you will get the opportunity to Migrate after the install completes. I think I was asked if I had another Mac with data. At that time I did not, but I am sure I was aksed.
Otherwise, you can perform it manually with the Migration Assistant anytime after the install is working properly.

My 1st iMac, need help with the upgrade to Leopard CPU Drop-In DVD

Hello all, my 1st post as a new Apple switcher!
I just received my new iMac 24" today, and I am not sure about the upgrade to Leopard. (Came pre-installed with Tiger, and came with a Leopard CPU Drop-In DVD). I have read about a few issues with the upgrade / re-install process to Leopard, stemming from the rumor that the Leopard CPU Drop-In DVD is not a full version, but an upgrade only.
First of all, obviously I am supposed to put in the "Drop-In DVD" and let it rip, but there are several options to pick from. One of them is upgrade, and another is to erase the hard drive and perform a clean install.
My questions are:
If I perform the erase and install, I have heard that iLife 08 will not be installed. If so, where / how do I reinstall that and any other apps that are left out?
Secondly, in the future, if I need to re-install again, will this "Drop-In DVD" work because Tiger has been removed from the hard drive? Will I just pop in my Tiger disks like the old Windows stuff required?
I plan on just doing the upgrade, but I would like to know what to do in the future if I have to do an erase / install.

I upgraded to Leopard after buying my first mac with Tiger.
I rang customer service and asked how do I install iLife 08 if I do a clean instal,l as when i upgraded my Safari would not play flash, quicktime or open certain websites. Also I had a very long load up period with Blue Screen which bothered me a lot. (I know I am fussy)
Anyway my brother suggested I use Pacifist to get the .pkg files from the Tiger boot disk. He took control of my machine as he has Leopard and did this for me remotely as I am not a wizard like him.
By the way that is a great feature of Leopard.
Anyway this worked for me, only iMovie would not start properly but when I download the updates to iLife 08 they all work perfectly now. Saved my 79 euro as well instead of having to buy again as I think iLife should be supplied on a separate disk, (bad form apple) as they know for many a clean install is likely if they experience serious issues upgrading.
Anyway pacifist http://www.charlessoft.com/ is worth a try if you can't afford to fork out for iLife again like me.
Just make sure you select all the iLife .pkg files and composer files. when it installs if the files are already there just click leave alone and it will install only what it needs. Then run the updates if you have any issues opening any of the programs such as imovie and this should replace any missing files.
I have open and run all the iLife programs and so far so good.

How can I upgrade my iCloud account's storage but pay for the upgrade with another Apple ID?

I want to upgrade my iCloud account so that I can back-up my iPhone, however I would like to pay for the upgrade using a different Apple ID than the Apple ID associated with my iCloud account. I don't think that's possible. (If you're trying to get it on another credit card, one option would be to purchase an iTunes gift card with it and redeem it to create an iTunes store credit. Storage upgrades will first charge your iTunes store credit before charging your card.)

How can i upgrade to IOS5.0? I get a message saying my ipad is ineligible for the upgrade

IOS5 downloads fine through itunes on my macbook and when I connect my ipad, it asks me if i want to upgrade.
When I say yes, it backups up the ipad, extracts the software and then shows a message saying my ipad is ineligible for the upgrade.

We have completed our first upgrade of FA from 10.7 SC to 11i. Most issues arose from the introduction of WorkFlow for Account Generator. In addition we have had difficulty activating the "security by book" new feature. This is still under investigation. We upgraded PO, AP, FA and GL. I can say that more than half of our time has been spent resolving FA issues.
The length of time the task will take will depend on which functionality you use. Have you seen the upgrade kit on metalink? it has all the upgrade steps. From that you could determine how many steps you need to perform.

Some puzzle for the 'Upgrade Guide: Release 11i to Release 12'

We are on 11.5.10.2 with 10g db,now we are going to upgrade to R12
I have done all the pre jobs in the 'Upgrade Guide: Release 11i to Release 12''s character 2 except the 'Prepare for the Upgrade' section.
In the 'Prepare for the Upgrade's step 3:Step 3 Run Rapid Install (required),it ask me to run Rapid Install wizard
But i can not understand what use of the action?
When run rapidwiz,should i close the app and db?or only keep the db running?
Anyone can help me?

I will try to answer based on my experience of working with iProcurement and AME. It depends on how you want to make a call to AME , directly from OAF Page or from Workflow and your requirement. You didn't specify what you want to show the users on OAF Page and your business requirement.
Before calling AME Engine from the OAF page or workflow, I guess you did already setup AME Transaction Type and it's Approval Groups, Conditions, Action Types and Rules. Do some testing from AME Business Analyst Test Workbench. Please note that, AME provides lot of PL/SQL API's that you have to call from your programs (java or workflow pl/sql)
Let's look at the workflow and putting an OAF Page as notification.
As Sameer said, you have kick-off workflow process from PR of CO and with in the workflow function, you make a call to AME Engine API's with the AME Transaction ID. This transactionId belongs to the AME Transsaction Type that you setup. Based on the rules setup, AME Engine generates list of approvers/approver and stores them AME Tables for that transactionId. Then, it sends a notification to the approver.
In the workflow, where that notification is defined, in the message body you have to put an attribute(&XX_WF_FWK_RN) of type document/send. And this attribute will have the constant JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_FUNC&paramId=-&DOCUMENT_ID-. This function is SSWA Jsp function that makes a web html call to your OAF Region.
If your requirement is to just show the list of approvers on the OAF Page, you may have to call AME API diectly passing your AME TrasnactionId with other parameters. Then AME generates list of approvers and stores them in AME tables with each approver status. You can pickup those approvers using VO and show them on OAF Page.

We're working on the prepare steps before the PREPARE upgrade phase.
One of these steps is the rename of the Infocube data classes which don't follow the new naming convention.
We have all infocubes defined in DDIM and DFACT data classes.
Could someone tell me if I have to rename the DDIM data class in a new one for the upgrade?

That's only valid for custom data classes.
DDIM & DFACT are SAP delivered and are still valid.

Was it possibly a power cut in connection with a thunderstorm? Any other evidence of higher than normal voltages (light bulbs, et cetera)? Has the line voltage been checked (measured with an appropriate voltmeter/multimeter)?
If necessary, it would be possible to remove the hard drive, and then connect it to an external IDE/ATA to USB adapter (example below). That way you could gain access to files on the hard disk from another computer.

- Open a tif image, that contains a dpi value (resolution).
- Use the splice tool in PS6.
- Export the slices with "Save for web", as gif-files.
Then the dpi value is removed, the gif files has no dpi value (it's empty).
How can we stop PS6 from removing the dpi value when using "save for web"?
