Using checkbox in sharing dialogue

The latest version of Acrobat.com has a checkbox similar to the previous version giving the option not to send an email when sharing. In the latest version the checkbox appears to be disabled, it can not be checked.
I had found this a useful facility sharing weekly files to same group of people.
Is this a delayed feature, or as was present before a bug.

Sorry for the confusion. The checkbox to avoid the sending of email is enabled only if *all* of the invitees are already 'known' to you. By 'known' to you, we mean that you and they already have at least one document in common. For these people, you should see a color image (either the default one, or one their personal image) as well as their name and email address. If *any* of the entries on the list are showing only as email addresses with gray icons (such as the second one in the image), then sending the email is required.
If you have a situation whereby you're sharing only with known users and yet the checkbox is disabled, then we should investigate. Please let me know if this is the case.
(At one point, in a very early release of Buzzword, we allowed you to set this option for each user, but people found it confusing, and it definitely cluttered up the dialog.)

if I select checkbox1 and press a save button, then on backend SQL Query will execute and save the results in a excel file and so on.

Actually I need a code which is based on combo base values and when I click on Button, the SQL Query will execute using SQL Connection string and the results from that query will save into a excel file. Below is the screenshot of the form. Hope this will

You could refer to the suggestions shared above, and if you get any issue when using that code, you could share the code and error with us, we will focus on your code to help you.
You could separate them into multiple steps, like the following.
1. Getting the value of any control, like the textbox and combobox or even checkbox.
2. Execute method inside button click event handler.
3. Using ado.net to execuate sql query.
4. Saving data to Excel.
Then you could have a try step by step, if you get any issue, then post it in another thread with the code and error message.

How to modify a lookup field-type to use checkbox instead of radiobutton?
I would like to modify the behavior for the lookup field.
Normally you get a screen where it is possible to search through a lookup. The items resulted from the search are listed as radiobutton items. Therefore you can select only one at the time to be added.
Is it possible to have the items to be listed as checkbox instead? So that you can check multiple items and therefore be able to add multiple items at the time?
For example:
To add the user to 10 different groups on MS-AD.
It is desired to have the ability to check multiple groups to be added instead only one at the time.
My client would like to use this feature in many other situations.

Displaying will not be a big deal but with that you have to customize the action class and its working as well.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

We have one computer with two users how do we use the home sharing icon if it disappears and we can't have itunes on both at the same time

my dad just got an ipod touch and we used to share one user name and he wanted his own, now he wants to get his songs from my user to his without using CD's, i want to use the Home Sharing, but when i try to the icon disappears and i don't know how to use it.

Modbus Ethernet read and write to a Eurotherm 6180XIO Modbus server using LV8.2 shared variables

I am having EXTREME difficulty trying to establish communications with a Modbus device using LV8.2 shared variables. The device is a Eurotherm 6180XIO Datalogger configured as a Modbus master. The PC and a cFP-1804 are slaves. All IP addresses are set correctly. This approach using shared variables would seem simple, but I can't find any examples or proper guidance on how to get it working. I am trying to avoid having to mess around with TCP/IP, OPC, or any other old-fashioned method.
I have read many threads on related topics but none directly apply to this situation. I have created a library containing a Modbus I/O server and shared variables bound to read and write holding registers. I have followed all recommended tips for creating such variables but I can neither read or write data. All data types are U16 due to Modbus protocol limitations. I have also applied the LV x10 factor in the most significant digit in the register offset (6 digits instead of 5).
I have a cFP-1804 on the same network which reads into the datalogger OK. The registers I use are 31000 (for CH0 on module 0, 31002 for CH1, etc) and the data can be read as FLOAT32. I have updated the firmwate on the 1804 to the latest level. I cannot even get shared variables to read SGL values. Using registers 301001 for CH0 and 301002 for CH1 I can only read U16 values, and not a 2-word SGL.
Third party Modbus simulation software is able to write to and read from registers very easily, but not LabVIEW.
Some questions are:
- do I use a Modbus master or slave as an I/O server in the library as a target for binding the shared variables?
- is there some other wierd translation in register offsets between LabVIEW and traditional Modbus?
- is this actually possible using shared variables or am I wasting my time?

Sending the whole 60-character string using a string or array would be the most efficient. I have tried both methods, and these only cause the datalogger to flag a message log but no text is displayed.
For a string variable, I have used the following binding "My Computer\Modbus Test.lvlib\ModbusServer6180\442305", where ModbusServer6180 is a Modbus I/O server configured with the logger IP address, and 42304 is the register offset at the start of the text block in the logger. I need to write to 30 consecutive registers starting with this one. I am not using buffering and have not enabled single writer.
Can anyone confirm whether this method should work in 8.2?
Does the string need a special termination character?

"Enable Disk Use" checkbox is grayed out, can't untick.

I just got my new iPod 30 GB video today! I've been reading these discussions, but haven't found an answer for this tiny problem of mine.
"Do Not Disconnect" constantly shows on the iPod screen when it's connected on the computer. Many have suggested ticking off "Enable Disk Use", but here's the problem: it's grayed out, and I can't change it, no matter what. I've gone through iTunes prefs, by right-clicking on the iPod in iTunes and selecting "iPod Options". My system seems to show iPod as a movable disk, but iTunes recognises it and I can easily put music into it, so I guess that isn't a problem (or is it?).
But how could I get my hands on the "Enable Disk Use" checkbox? It just isn't "tickable" now.

If you have your iPod set to manual update, the "Enable Disk Use" box will be greyed out and ticked by default, in that case use Safely remove Hardware icon or check this link: "Disconnecting iPod from your computer

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

Acrobat Pro Extended 9.3.1 - Can't use "Send for Shared Review"

After the last update for Acrobat Pro Extended, I cannot send RoboHelp PDF generated documents for shared reivew. I used to be able to send draft reviews of the help (in PDF) using our public shared drive. The error indicates: "The filename you specified is not valid because it does not include a .pdf extension, contains one or more invalid characters or the path preceding it refers to a protected system location." I have not changed any of the items mentioned in the error and yet after the last software release update to the 9.3.1, the share review option is not working. Has anyone run into this issue and can help with pointers?

I am surprised the patch allowed you to update from AA9.0.0 to 9.3.1 directly. Almost all patches (updates) for Acrobat are incremental and they must be installed in sequence. I suspect this it true for AA9 also, but I could be wrong.
I suspect it was the jump that is causing the problem. I would suggest you reinstall AA9 (you may have to be careful about activating and deactivating so you do not lose your number of license installs). Once you are back to AA9.0.0, then either use the "Check for Updates" or download all of the updates and install them in order. You may have to reboot after some of the changes. It looks like you have 7 updates to go through. Folks have complained about the updates not being cummulative for years, don't expect things to change.

Apple TV is by it self in a category.
With Apple TV 1 the limit was 5 Apple clearly stated that. The reason? Probably because the Apple TV 1 had a hard drive and was able to store content locally (quite a bit actually). This would make it more in line with authorized devices.
You authorized device limit is 5 but this does not pertain to home sharing again something different.
When you play content from an Apple TV you are streaming from an authorized device and as long as you have the same iTunes account on that Apple TV as the iTunes you are connecting to you will be ok.
Now to the error. I have also had this error and I had it on a network with only 1 Apple TV connected and it is since iTunes 11. It seems every time Apple updates iTunes it has a bad effect on Apple TV. So I would not relate this error to the number of Apple TV's you have, every time I get this error I restart the Apple TV and its fine again.
On a side not I used to run MANY Apple TV's off my xserver. I had my families homes networked with VPN. I would prefer to not say how many but it was quite a few. biggest problem there was multicast over VPN....whole other story.

HT2688 When using either Music Sharing or Home Sharing, can I edit song star ratings on guest devices, or just on the host computer?

I'd love to be able to add song ratings to tracks regardless of which machine/device I listen with, but it seems I can't do that currently. Just connect the new iPod to your computer and setup the iPod via iTunes (instead of via wifi).
