Using ChronoSync with iTunes - what files/folders to exclude?
I want my laptop and HTPC to have the exact same iTunes library. I started with copying the *iPhoto Library* package file to the HTPC, so right now, they have the exact same library.
I'll do most of my iTunes work (e.g. adding new music) on the laptop. The HTPC-sync is just for changes to playlists, ratings, etc. - minor edits I might happen across while listening to my music there. I would want these changes to sync back to the laptop.
I know I can now use ChronoSync to keep these libraries in sync:

My question is: for my needs, _which files/folders in the iTunes Library can/should I exclude for synchronization_?

I don't think that's true. The sync I set up didn't touch any iTunes .plist files. When I changed the window size and content zoom on one computer (and nothing else), then re-synced, the display settings were copied back to the other.

Meaning, if I choose not to sync whatever file actually controls the window display settings, will iTunes still function properly, or will I "break" something in it?

Are you sure it is 1043? I've never seen that error before. But you can try disabling your security software, connecting the phone to a USB port directly on the computer (not a hub), and trying to restore again.

No, sorry... did not happen becasue no such model exists.
If the device is in recovery mode, any data on it is already lost.
The only options are:
Restore the device to get it functional.
Enjoy the paper weight.
For what reason did you attempt to update the device without first ensuring that your data was safe, meaning backing up the device and copying important pictures/videos taken with the device to a computer? -

Hi, Unfortunately my Laptop has died (which had my iTunes on it). I want to ensure my music on my iPhone 5 and my iPad Air are backed up. Also, I want to sort my music in the way I used to with iTunes. How can I do this with just these two devices, i.e. NO Computer? Can the iCloud help? You can change the email address of one's appleID...
I'd recommend changing moms email to yours to get a good backup on the Mac
Then switch mom's back to hers
Then change your account to the same email you used.

My iphone4 has been stuck on the connect to itunes logo for a few hours. I connected it to itunes and it says that the iphone is on recovery mode and that I need to restore it to use it with itunes. I'm afraid that if I restore it I will loose everything help please!!
AT this point whatever data you have on yoru phone is already gone since it is in recovery mode.
However you can restore from your backup, when your phone reboots from recovery.

Using ExeShield with a Director File
I developed a Director movie and need to publish it on a CD. I saw a tutorial from the ExeShield web site and it looks great and makes me able to add a serial number to it. Now I need to know if it is possible to use it with a Director file. Do I export the movie as a .exe file first? Can I also use it with a protected file? Is there another option to make a CD?
Making CDs has absolutely unequivocably nothing to do with using ExeShield to protect your published executable.
I have posted on other sites that it's quite possible to use ExeShield to protect your Director executable. It's easy to test with their trial version of ExeShield so I'd suggest doing that first to make sure that's the product you want to use before you purchase it.

Yes, that appears how Mavericks works right now. However, you can open the Address Panel, select all your contacts, then click the To (or CC, or Bcc) buttons to move the selection to the address field.
If it is not already in the Toolbar, right-click on the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar…
Then, drag the address panel up to wherever you want it.
You may also want to add it to the New Message window in the same way. -

It seems as though you are describing two different things, unless you are trying to say that you cannot connect to the iTunes Store on through the phone. If that is correct, suggest you try and do a search, the question has been asked a great deal and answers can be found. Maybe even try and describe the error message you are seeing when trying to connect.

If you mean that you have found "an iPod" - which is not yours, that is, you found it in the street, or in your office/school etc, then you should be handing the iPod into the relevant authority.
If you found it in the street, hand it in to the local police station.
If you found it at school, in your office, public library or similar, hand it in to the lost property office for that buiding/organisation.
After all, if you lost your iPod, wouldn't you ask at the police station etc. and hope that some kind person had handed it in? -

Unit was blocked by code and Find My Phone enebled but appears offline..There is something wrong really. I could not locate my second iPhone2 (replacement for the stolen one) with cover closed (and pin locked). Impossible to locate it at all. I had to turn the location services off and on again and since this it started to work. But even so, it does not update the location - it just show the last located place (like one hour ago) until is pin unlocked. This is useless. By BB bold 9900 is possible to find on map even when is in holster and pinlocked. All it need is GSM signal. It show circle where it may be and when is on GPS signal, it update the ring diametre automatically - all without need to unlock the phone with pin code.
Please try to check it, if it does not work when the iPad is pinlocked, then it does not have sense.
