Thanks,
Jess

Ha-ha, you're r't, thanks for clearing my head, don't know what I'm thinking. The thing I'm looking for should be dos cmd dir to get the file created date instead of modified date.
Thanks again

    This is a Forms webutil question. You would be better off asking this question in the Forms proper, not least becaus emembers of the Forms team who actually worked on webutil (Duncan Mills, Frank Nimphius) often answer questions there.

  • Copy to Mac file Created Date uses iPhoto Modified not Original Date

    When a photo is edited in iPhoto the 'Extended Photo Info' 'Modified' date field is changed to the now() date and time but the 'Original' date iPhoto remains the same.
    Then when a copy is made of a photo in iPhoto and then 'Paste Item(s)' is made to the Mac desktop all the files dates default to the iPhoto 'Modified' date not the iPhoto 'Original Date'. Then if a sort by the 'Original Date' on the Mac is desired it will not happen unless the Created date file settings is changed for each photo copied to the Mac Desktop.
    How can photos in iPhoto be copied to the Mac Desktop with the 'Original Date' used in the Mac file 'Created' date field?

    when a copy is made of a photo in iPhoto and then 'Paste Item(s)' is made to the Mac desktop all the files dates default to the iPhoto 'Modified' date not the iPhoto 'Original Date'
    Where are you seeing this date?  In the Info window for the file with the Finder?  That's to be expected because those dates are the file dates, not the EXIF photo created and modified dates which can't be view by the Finder.  You will need to use a 3rd party EXIF view like  EXIF Viewer for Mac OS X .
    So don't confuse the EXIF date(s) with the file dates.

  • How do I use Display Dialog to get back a date?

    Can anyone tell me how to use Display Dialog to get back a date?
    I am using the following code that does not work. It does not accept anything.  And I have searched high and low for an answer to my question and found nothing.
    repeat
           display dialog "When should I remind you (date)?" default answer ""
           try
                 if the text returned of the result is not "" then
                        set the requested_text to the date returned of the result as date
                        exit repeat
                end if
           on error
               beep
    end try
    endrepeat
    display dialog requested_text
    The code is based on what I found in AppleScript 1-2-3 (page 300). It shows examples for getting text and numbers but not one for dates.
    For what it is worth, my goal is to create a script that will convert an email from Evernote into an iCal Reminder. To do so, I want to ask the user (myself) for the reminder's date and time. I am assuming I need to ask for each separately. I also assume that once I get the date and time for the reminder, it should be relatively straightforward to 'make' a 'todo' with an alarm.
    Thanks in advance.
    -David

    Hi David,
    Try this:
    repeat
        set theCurrentDate to current date
        display dialog "When should I remind you (date)?" default answer (date string of theCurrentDate & space & time string of theCurrentDate)
        set theText to text returned of result
        try
            if theText is not "" then
                set theDate to date theText -- a date object
                exit repeat
            end if
        on error
            beep
        end try
    end repeat
    display dialog (date string of theDate & space & time string of theDate)

  • Disk Utility 'Disk Image from Folder' looses file create date?

    Hi,
    I have been working on creating backups that maintain the files' create dates. I have found the following anomoly using Disk Utility.
    If I create a Disk Image From Folder, the create dates of all files are changed to be the same as the last modify dates. Not what I want.
    If I creat a Blank Disk Image, and then using Finder to copy the files to the Disk Image, the create dates remain unchanged.
    I can then burn the backup CD's with the Disk Image and the files' create dates are maintained. So, future restore from the backup CD will contain the original files' create dates.
    Does anyone know if Disk Utility's Create Disk Image from Folder is supposed to loose the files' create dates? What other file attributes are being lost? Mac OS X maintains all of these attributes, and create dates via Finder copies, I would expect the Disk Utility Create Disk Image from Folder to do the same.
    Bob Horton

    To follow up on this post, I know at least part of the answer. The difference between the two becomes clearer if you read the documentation (man pages) for hdiutil and asr. Image 1 will be created in file mode, whereas image 2 will be in block mode, ie bypassing the file system. Image 1 will consist of a series of files, whereas image 2 will contain a series of blocks, mirroring the original layout of the hard disk.
    Technically the latter should be faster to restore (in block mode), although Apple recommend the first procedure (see man page for hdiutil). I haven't seen any evidence that images created in block mode can be mounted or restored, although you might be able to burn such images to a optical disks if applicable.
    As I've pointed out in another thread (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1508199&tstart=0) I believe that this functionality should not be offered in disk utility, and I consider it a serious bug.

  • Zoom H2n "file created" dates are WRONG

    Zoom H2n (audio files) "file created" dates are 31 December 1969 @1900 unless I DL them to Win7 box and import them.  The time and date is set correctly in the H2n.  The time and date are correct for creation in Win7. It makes the EVENTS fall into December 1969 category in FCP X and I don't seem to be able to change them. Nothing about this is mentioned on the Zoom website.

    I know this is a rather old post but this bug is still unfixed so maybe it may help someone.
    This is actually a Zoom H2n bug, not a Final Cut one. The problem is that the Zoom sets the file creation dates to 1 january 1970 00:00. However it sets the right file modification date. A quick and dirty workaround I found for this is to use the terminal to fix it:
    find /Volumes/H2N_SD -name "*.WAV" -exec fix_zoom_dates.sh "{}" \;
    With fix_zoom_dates.sh being a shell script somewhere in your $PATH, containing the following:
    #!/bin/bash
    SetFile -d "$(GetFileInfo -m $1)" $1
    What it does is scanning the whole H2n sd card and setting the file creation date to the file modification date, for every WAV file present. You have to do that every time you want to import something from the Zoom, before opening Final Cut.
    Hope this can be helpful.

  • "File Created" Date

    Three dates are recorded and shown in Bridge.
    Date Created
    Date File Created
    Date File Modified.
    Now, apparently these dates, except for the Date Created, are meaningless. I have a file created 3-29-07 that shows Date file created as 12-29-07. Whut? I waited nine months to download it?
    No, it actually indicates the date that the file was created on the particular drive! I went back to the original drive and the Date File Created is correct; about 2 or 3 days after shooting, which is Date Created.
    Now, date modified is also wacky. I opened a file that has not been opened at all (no RAW Icon showing), ran some adjustments clicked done, and the date modified didn't change (in this case the same as Date Created). But if I save it instead as a tiff, then both the "Date File Saved and the date Modified changed.
    This is confusing. If the file is opened in RAW, adjusted then clicked Done, something changed.
    Also, if the file is moved or copied to another drive, the original date File Created should be consistent.
    For legal evidence, there needs to be consistency, imo.

    There was a long discussion on something similar a month or so back. Do a search and take a look at it. If you have more questions post back here.

  • Can you get file creation dates for Nomad II .NVF fil

    Hi,
    I have an old Nomad II MG that has several voice recordings of my daughter over the last 4 years, but I don't know the dates they were recorded.
    Is there a way to get the actual date of the recording from the Nomad device? All I seem to end up with is the current date when I upload it into Windows.
    Thanks...
    lj

    Hi,
    Newbie to SharePoint, learn quite a lot from the links you provided.
    “I found out that the original dates are only available in SharePoint if the explorerview has been used”, this would make sense because the original creation time is generated
    by the file system in the local machine.
    However, when a file is uploaded to SharePoint library, it will be stored as binary data in the database, as well as the newly created time. It means that it will be a “new” file
    in the SharePoint site regardless of where it comes from.
    Per my knowledge, the only way I can suggest is that you will need to create a client desktop application for the file uploading, which will be a more general way not only for
    uploading a file, but also when we need to migrate files between different systems.
    Thanks

  • Error using a binding to get current row data

    Hi, from a previous post ( Calling a stored procedure ) that has been answered i have reached to this point and cant get go on:
    i have a method declared on appmoduleimpl that calls to a procedure stored in the database and passes two parameters (one string, and one int)to the stored procedure.I drag and drop the method from the data control pallete to my jspx page.
    the problem is that i want to get the value of two rows from the current record and set them as values from the parameters.
    My Binding:
    ${bindings.Module3EmpIterator.currentRow.empno}
    ${bindings.Module3EmpIterator.currentRow.ename}
    Note: Module3Emp its the name of my view
    when i use this binding i get this error code
    JBO-29000: javax.servlet.jsp.el.ELException: Unable to find a value for "ename" in object of class "oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl" using operator "."

    Thanks.

    Here i store a pl/sql code in a method (At AppModuleImpl Level)
    public void callProc1 (String ename,
    int empno)
    PreparedStatement plsqlBlock = null;
    // String statement = "BEGIN p_proc1(:1,:2); END;";
    String statement = "BEGIN INSERT INTO p_proc (ID, dato, numero) VALUES (s_proc.NEXTVAL, :1, :2); END;";
    plsqlBlock = getDBTransaction().createPreparedStatement(statement,0);
    try
    plsqlBlock.setString(1,ename);
    plsqlBlock.setInt(2,empno);
    plsqlBlock.execute();
    catch (SQLException sqlException)
    throw new SQLStmtException(CSMessageBundle.class,
    CSMessageBundle.EXC_SQL_EXECUTE_COMMAND,
    statement,
    sqlException);
    finally
    try
    plsqlBlock.close();
    catch (SQLException e)
    // We don't really care if this fails, so just print to the console
    e.printStackTrace();
    now i expose the method and set the variables in the page definition.
    <methodAction id="callProc1"
    InstanceName="Module3AppModuleDataControl.dataProvider"
    DataControl="Module3AppModuleDataControl"
    MethodName="callProc1" RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="999"
    IsViewObjectMethod="false">
    <NamedData NDName="ename"
    NDValue="${bindings.Module3EmpIterator.currentRow.ename}"
    NDType="java.lang.String"/>
    <NamedData NDName="empno"
    NDValue="${bindings.Module3EmpIterator.currentRow.empno}"
    NDType="int"/>
    (that does it automatically when i drag and drop the method to the jspx page).
    This is the code in the command button inside the jspx page
    <af:commandButton actionListener="#{bindings.callProc1.execute}"
    text="callProc1"
    disabled="#{!bindings.callProc1.enabled}"/>
    When i click the button, the method should insert the selected column on a new table that i created But it doesn't. How i can do it, or how i can see the output of those values (bindings.Module3EmpIterator.currentRow.empno... etc.)
    Note: when i hardcode the values and put Hello instead of bindings.Module3EmpIterator.currentRow.empno it inserts into the table and works everything fine.

  • Save As not updating file "Created:" date in CC programs

    I just downloaded and installed the trial for CC. So far, I have noticed that when performing a "Save As" on files stored locally on my computer that the "Created:" date is not being updated/changed to the current date/time. Is there a reason for this? Is there a fix? I am not synced with the cloud and don't know if that might be the reason.

  • SQL Agent Job failing - not using credentials in the config file for Data source

    Hi
    We have an SSIS pkg, that is secheduled as SQL Agent job using proxy account. The pkg contanins data source for connecting different SQL servers and the proxy account do not have access to the external DBs. The data source credentials are stored in the Config

    Why the job is not using the credentials in the config file and try to use the proxy account and failing.
    Do the proxy account need access to all the external dbs in the pkg, and then what is the purpose of the config file.
    I am sorry, i am not SSIS person trying to understand. If any one can explain tha will be great!!

  • Is there a way of getting files created in iWeb09 from my iDisk into iWeb11 on my MacBook

    When my MacBook was repaired Apple updated OS X and iLife. I had 2 web sites created in iWeb09 and published on my MobileMe account. They are still accessible on the net but are not visible in iWeb11. How can I download the files into iWeb11 for editing and publishing?

    You didn't have a backup of your MacBook's hard drive when it had to be replaced?  If you do look in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to see if the Doman.sites2 file is there.  If it is drag it to the same folder on your new hard drive and open with iWeb.  That should give you your old sites back.
    If you don't have a backup then you'll have to do what QTKirt pointed out.  However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the creation of the new site.

  • File Create date

    Hi i've been asked to make a program that send e-mail with attachments files from a directory on the server,
    the file that'll be attach have to be with creation date of the day the program will execute.
    i did the part of sending e-mail,my problem is that i don't know how to take the creation date of the file in server(Windows Server).
    So if anyone have an idea i'll be more than happy to read a bout it.

    Hi Gil,
    This will solve your problem :
    1. One the selection screen,
       Enter PATH
       Enter Date (of Creation)
    2. The program will list out

  • Using AppleScript/Automator to get file path and create AFP hyperlink

    Hi All,
    A colleague has asked for a service (contextual menu item in Finder) to get a selected item's remote (afp://) file path and copy it to the clipboard...  Pretty sure I've got that part down.
    What I need advice on is how to make the resulting pasted file path into a serviceable hyperlink.  AFP keeps telling me there was an error connection to the server....  Does the copied path have to include mounting commands and user credentials for this to work??

              set sel to sel as string
              set AppleScript's text item delimiters to TempTID
