Using conference call dial in numbers with iPhone

On my old Blackberry I used to be able to call a conference call dial in number and it was set up so that it would dial both the 1-800 number and then the participant code for the conference call. Anyone know if it's possible to do the same with the iPhone? Of course, with my Blackberry I was dialing in through clicking on the number in the actual meeting invite whereas with the iPhone I am dialing into a number in my contacts list since the iPhone is not yet compatible with Lotus Notes. Speaking of which, I've heard rumors before that the iPhone will one day be compatible with Lotus Notes. Anyone know when that might be? I've ditched the Blackberry but not having my email/calendar/contacts synced with my work system is a big pain.
Back to the conference call question, I tried seeing if I could add a pause after dialing the 1-800 number so that it would dial the meeting password after connecting but that didn't work, even when I added like 10 pauses.

CUCM does not have this capability, if you forcefully need users to enter a pwd you'd need to look into MP or do some UCCX/UCCE scripting for this.
You can use Unity/CUC as a middle man so you can use a supervised transfer and then Unity will let you choose if you want to let someone in or send them to VM, but it won't ask for any passcode.

Conference Call Dialing from Calendar from Iphone

There needs to be a way to add a conference number to an appointment in calendar and then be able to dial that number + the passcode/conference extension. Currently, any numbers entered do not show up as active numbers that can be dialed, neither do URL's.
One work around has been to add the conference number as a contact and add the extension in there. Issue here is that the contact "pause" and extension add feature is intermittent at best. If you have a good network connection, it may work, it may not.
In addition to this I've only been able to have the contact dial a 5 digit extension. This needs to be extended to at least 12 numbers to handle corporate america...
If Apple hopes to truly compete with the Blackberry they'll need to address some of these issues. this is a frequently used function on the blackberry.
Has anyone seen this as well? Have a work around I haven't seen yet?

I have left feedback with each release. I agree that this should be an easy fix, and very surprised that Apple missed this while dog fooding.
To add insult to injury, I was invited to a con call by a customer and their format made this lack of a feature excruciating:
10 digit number con call
10 digit access code
6 digit PIN
Needless to say, that in our great age of electronic gizmos, i had to get out pencil and paper and copy from my iPhone to "temporary storage" so I could dial all these digits in between prompts.
I know this is a user to user forum, but it would be nice if one iPhone firmware release focused on business users and features. Google streatview was not a compelling reason for upgrading to 2.2.

You can't. The library and book exist only on the one device. Can't be transfered between devices.

Sorry but, Facetime allows connection only between two people. For conferencing, there would be iChat or Skype, among other possibilities.

Using Hookflash to set up conference calls in CUCM 7 with a Sip Phone

Hi all,
Not sure if I'm going the right way about this or if this is even possible, let me start by setting the scenario:
We have Cisco Unified Call Manager 7 and have recently installed an non Cisco IP based telephone in a boardroom which we have successfully registered to the Call Manager using SIP.
We would like to be able to setup audio conference calls from this SIP phone. It has a flash (hookflash) button which I believe can be used for this very purpose (it signals and offhook/onhook/offhook condition) which can be used to instruct a voice switch that it is requesting services (like conferencing).
However I'm strugging to see how to set this up.
Can anybody offer any advice on this subject?

Just an update to the question that I presented when I started this thread.
You really never did say what type of a User Account you are using in your Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 on Windows 7? But based on the information provided by several users, User Account with Administrative Rights seems to be the way to go since all of them were using it and had systems that were running well. I would have expected that based on the Premiere Elements Windows XP requirements. I have yet to have someone come forward to say that they are using Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 on Windows 7 with a User Account with Standard Rights and the program is running well. Will you be that one?
Besides me switching from Windows XP to Windows 7 in the near future, what motivated this line of questioning was the report that I had seen of a user with Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1on Windows 7 who was reporting "permission" error messages when trying to archive a project with the Project Archiver (Archiver "Trimmed" and Copy options). Further questioning brought out that the problem extended to the AutoSave feature as well. The user claimed to be saving to an external hard drive (formatted NTFS) with about 800 MB free space. And still further questioning brought out that the error message included a free space and/or permissions error. Yes, there were extremely large file sizes involved here (way over 4 GB)
The story had a happy ending where the remedies were:
1. User Account with Administrative Rights
and the major
2. Formatting the thought to be NTFS external hard drive from FAT32 to NTFS.

I need to configure my CUCM 6 in which to have a dial-in number to be used with outside callers to join a conference call but with Passcode (password)
- I have already a Meet-Me number my callers can call it withput passcode but I do not know how to configure it to be used with a Password

Since 2.1 I cant use Mail after having checked mail with iPhone

This is totally weird.
My Mail OS X application is working just fine. So is my iPhone mail app. However,
If I check my mails with iphone (Everything works fine) and then open Mail OS X within the next 3 minutes when I try to check for mail all accounts besides Mobile turn gray and I cannot do anything till after about 3 minutes.

Update...
If I open mail right after having checked my mail with the bugphone I get the grayed out mail boxes. However, if I go in and toggle SSL on advanced, save the account settings and then toggle back to SSL and then save again then everything is fine.
Looks like this is a bug... Just yet another in the mile long BUT SHORT history of Apple's iPhone 3G.
Spoke with german telekom today. They told me and you can quote me on this:
"Since the 3G iPhone and all it's bugs we dont even try to help out customers but direct them directly to Apple - Free of charge"
Then you wait a minute and then Apple Care appear on the phone but DO NOT represent themselves by "Apple Care Hello" but only state their name... After asking MANY questions the poor guy finally admitted that I was at Apple Care and that Telekom were not able to handle all the problems.

Having been a rep for Verizon business customers, what number do you call to retrive your messages. If it's an 800#, I'm out of my league, but if iy is a local number, that is included in your message unit count. Hope this helps

Using 3rd party headphones 4 phone calls & talking mic stinks with iphone 4

I used to have the iphone 3g and have used custom westone es2 headphones for a number of years with it and other devices before the iphone 3g.
with the 3g I was able to make phone calls and hear through the headphones but I would talk in to the mic on the bottom of the phone. It worked exceptionally well.
With the iphone 4, I can still do everything but now I pick up all the sounds in my environment (typically NYC streets!)including wind making it extremely difficult to hear the person talking unless I'm in a very quiet area. I also hear my own voice amplified through the headphones. It's so bad I can no longer use my headphones when talking.
any way to stop this?? or i'd like to request an update to make it function like my 3g.

I've seen other threads on this issue as well. I find the same thing - I actually thought that it was intended to work that way, so that you could hear your own voice and not have to think you need to yell into the mic. Guess that was dumb on my part.
It does pick up lots of ambient noise.

Dialing within Germany with iPhone 4S

I want to use my iPhone 4S to make a few calls from within Germany, using Verizon roaming rates. My understanding is the formula is dial +, then country code 49 for Germany, then area code, then phone number. My question: do I dial '0' before the area code as I would if dialing from a German phone, or omit the '0' as I would if dialing from the US. My assumption is the latter, but if I'm wrong I'd like to know. Also, anyone have experience with Verizon data plan (now $25 for 100 meg) in Germany or other European country? If so, tips? Problems?

Make and receive voice calls from/to PC with iphone

I am looking for a app for following :
I have a PC running Vista or Windows 7
I have a hardwired headset + microphone connected to the PC (is essential because I am running also a voice operated software tool on the pc).
I connect my iphone 4 with the pc by USB cable
I want to make/receive calls by using this PC application.
Can someone help me with this ? Any alternative ideas ?

Not able to pick up calls without my headphones with iphone 4....what to do?

I have an iphone 4. I listened to my music with the ipod app. Now I am unable to pick up calls without using the headphones. The sound seems to be locked somehow. How do I fix this?

Try plugging and unplugging your earphone a couple of times and see it that fixes your issue. Sometimes the headphone switch does not switch the audio back to the phone.

Used to be able get iMessages with iPhone and iPad. Cannot register # or email.

I used to be able to get iMessages using either my phone number or email address besides the me.com one. Now I can't and it won't verify them. I am not even given the choice to add my phone number as on my wife's phone. It keeps telling me I have to register my phone number and email addresses.
Then when I attempt to I am told I need to put in a "code" sent to me on the iPad but have no clue where to look for that code. Nothing shows up in Messages or an email.
HELP!! My wife's iPhone 6, bought and set up the same time, works fine.

Using most recent version of iTunes with Iphone 5, I cannot see the phone screen on iTunes.

I am using the most recent version of iTunes and when I connect my iPhone 5 to my Windows 7 pc, I can no longer see the screens for the iPhone in iTunes. I want to see them so I can rearrange my app icons. I see the apps but not in a iPhone screen view and they cannot be moved.

First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
