Using connections simultaneously

Can i use the optical drive and rca connections simultaneously, one for the home theater, and the other for a couple of speakers in the living room, will they sound together. Thank you very much.

will they sound together.
That all depends on your equipment and to a lesser extent your situation. Your receiver may well take a short time to process the audio signal, your living room speakers may not, which might put the audio out of sync between sources. Although the maths will show that the distance between one location and the other is not great enough to allow the listener to determine any lag by being nearer one source than the other, this is often not my experience in reality because of structural obstacles and soft furnishings etc. However the signal is generated simultaneously by the tv.

How to establish two ethernet connections simultaneously?

I have a two-ports router. The first port via ordinary RG-45, and the second port via usb interface.
I want to have both of them to be connected simultaneously. I done this at Gentoo, but can't to do at Arch.
So, what I done exactly:
I found and loaded usbnet module: modprobe usbnet. After that I written appropriate values for new interface (eth1) in /etc/conf.d/network
interface=eth0
address=192.168.1.7
netmask=255.255.255.0
broadcast=192.168.1.255
gateway=192.168.1.1
interface=eth1
address=192.168.1.70
netmask=255.255.255.0
broadcast=192.168.1.255
gateway=192.168.1.1
At this point I restarted networking: systemctl stop/start network and checked for new interface:
ip addr | sed '/^[0-9]/!d;s/: <.*$//'
and got output:
1. lo
2. eth0
3. eth1
OK, I decided to test new interface:
ip link set eth0 down
ip link set eth1 up
eth1 started succesfully. But I can't to start eth0 back: 'ip link set eth0 up' does nothing, even I stopping eth1
I tried to reboot and checked eth0 again: eth0 gone. No more eth0...
ip addr | sed '/^[0-9]/!d;s/: <.*$//'
1. lo
3. eth1
Second interface that was eth0 is missing. And I can't get it back.
Where is eth0 and how to connect both interfaces simultaneously?

That will not cause a switching loop. STP is enabled by defualt on a bridge device and will take care of that. The packets will only use one inteface, until one link is down. Then the packets will use the other interface.
EDIT: Hum, really the OP didn't really give us enough info.
The way I read it was that the Arch computer is a Router with 2 interfaces 1 RJ-45 and one USB-to-RJ-45. Then that's it. He didn't say anything more about his network. So, origonaly thought that he must be wanting to connect to other computer to this "Arch Router"

Two network connections simultaneously?

Hi,
I want to do screen sharing with presenters, so I can use SnapzPro on my MacBook to record their screens on their Mac. Can the Mac that is presenting be connected to my Mac via a crossover cable, and to the wireless network via AirPort so they can access the internet? The reason for this suggestion is that when I tried to use a wireless network with ARD, it was far too slow (screen redraw once every minute or two), so I'm wondering if I can use a crossover cable between my Mac and the presenter's Mac and then use ARD 2.2 to do the screen capture, while the presenter's Mac is also connected and they can use regular internet access via AirPort.
Can a Mac have two simultaneous network connections like this?
Any ideas/comments?

Yes, the Mac can be connected simultaneously to both ethernet and Airport. And, as C.Moser indicated, any G4 class or newer machine will auto sense the direct connection.

Calling a RFC using connection pool

Can I use connection pool to call a RFC from my R3? I'm using SAP Enterprise Connector but I don't want to pass user/password hardcoded.

I am trying to figure out that how to use connection pool within the JSP pages if I want to connect to the database. In the servlets i am using DBConnectionBroker pool = (DbConnectionBroker) getServletContext().getAttribute("dbPool") to get database connection. How Can i use this in JSP page to get a db connection.

I have configured a file-webservice-file without BPM scenario...as explained by Bhavesh in the following thread:
File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.
I have used a soap adapter (for webservice) instead of rfc .My input file sends the date as request message and gets the sales order details from the webservice and then creates a file at my sender side.
I monitored the channels in the Runtime work bench and the error is in the sender ftp channel.The other 2 channel status is "not used" in RWB.
1 sender ftp channel
1 receiver soap channel
1 receiver ftp channel.

You are right.The webservice is not invoked.I see the same error in the sender channel and the receiver soap channel status is "never used".

How to find the id of the node given the path using connect by?

I have a table like this:
CREATE TABLE tab1 (Id INTEGER, Name VARCHAR2(100), ParentId INTEGER)
Let's say I have the following rows:
Id name ParentId
1 X NULL
2 Y 1
3 Z 2
4 A 3
Now, given the path /X/Y/Z/A, I need to return 4
Is it possible to achieve this using CONNECT BY?
If it helps, I have over simplified the scenario - that a node has only one child. In reality, a node can have many children.

Yes you can still connect to WiFi. You can activate cellular when you need it.

          We have problems using connection pooling in a WLS 5.1.x - Cluster. Is it

          will be opened and never been closed. How can I configure a cluster for CP?
          I have a WLS-Cluster with 2 instances and my webApp uses connection pooling.
          By the way I get a connection on Instance 1, Instance 2 gets a connection
          also, but never releases it.
          In my opinion, the reference to the connection in the partner-instance will
          be lost.
          How do I have to configure my cluster to work well with that stuff ?

Clustering with connection pools works fine in WLS 5.1. If connections are
          not being release, you have bugs in your code.
          When a connection is retrieved from a pool on one instance, a corresponding
          connection is NOT retrieved on another instance.
