Using contacts with two Apple ID's
I have a personal iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro for which I have an Apple ID under which I keep my contacts. I recently started a new job and they gave me an iPhone for work purposes, however I need to have a separate Apple ID for that phone. I realize I can't use two Apple ID's on one phone. Is there any way to update my contacts from my personal phone/Apple ID to my work phone/Apple ID?
Setup another user account on your Mac. You use your Apple ID on your account and the other person on theirs.
Open System Preferences > Users & Groups then select the Password tab.
Click the gold padlock icon bottom left corner of the window. You will be prompted for your admin password.
Now click + to create a new acocunt.
Select: Show fast user switching menu as and make a selection.
You should see an account name top right corner of your screen. From there you can switch accounts.

It turns out that the "Look for External Speakers" option in the Preferences was turned off. Without this on, the pull down menu you mentioned doesn't appear.
Once that was switched on, the rest was easy!
Works great too. This was one of the elements that was a great addition to the AppleTV update! -

both running iTunes 7.7
My music is on my home Mac and I manually create playlists, add music etc.
With my 3G Nano, I can connect and listen to songs on my iPod from my work PC. I can't seem to do this with my iPhone - my PC sees the iPhone but all of the music is greyed out and cannot be selected.
Is it a limitation of the iPhone that I cannot use it with two computers in this way, or is it a configuration issue?
I would prefer not to have to buy a set of external speakers just to use my iPhone to play music at work.

ShaneActually, there are several articles on the web about the fact that you CAN
synch the itunes with two computers. Music, Video, and Ringtones can be done from one computer, and Mail, Contacts, etc. can be done from a second computer.
Just do a Yahoo search on "synching iPhone with two computers."
If you are trying to do music from two computers, you are right, that will not work. There is a program, which I think the Yahoo search above will also uncover that allows you to do a "swap," where you can have the songs from one computer show up on the iPhone, and when you swap, the songs from the other computer show up. I am not sure if this utility survived the upgrage to version 2.0 of the softweare.

You do not need have cell service for the GPS to work.
If the iphone is new, then you would have to activate it with a carrier in order for it to work at all.

You should be able to link your phone number by following the steps in the article below. From your iPhone, sign out of FaceTime and iMessage and then sign back in and it should link. Check in the Start Conversation With and I Can Be Reached at section in iMessage and FaceTime respectively.

2) In integration direcory you need at least one service for bpm and one or many for each system in your bpm
also each connection between systems and bpm must have receiver determination and so on.
Advice: Please treat BPM as a separate system.

Using mirroring with my apple tv and everthing shows up on the tv untill i try to watch a movie, i get the sound but no picture. I checked and both are on the same wifi?
I had this problem also. Several times in fact. And it has not been any relation with sw update (Apple TV). I managed to fix this on a strange way. I drop off WiFi in iMac and joined back. Right after thatI tried to adjust Airplay settings, but I didn't manage. Reason was that my iMac didn't found any Airplay devices (?). After about 2-3 minutes iMac recognized my Apple TV. And also audio "posting" to Apple TV started to work.
So restart your WiFi connection on your iMac or MacBook Pro - it may help.
Another hint is to use command: "sudo killall coreaudiod". More information about that: http://wwwx.cs.unc.edu/~cquammen/wp/2011/02/18/resetting-audio-on-mac-os-x/

Hi I tried to contact with Sydney Apple store but impossible so far. Actually I found my Visa card been conducted 4 transactions in 7th may. I am in Auckland that time. It must be wrong deduction. Can anyone help me solve this problem.

But what I have is two Apple ID's with different email addresses. I'm sure the second one was set up by my son to buy a song a long time ago, while the first I probably set up when I got my first new Mac. I've always used one, but my Pad started showing an authorization problem - I'd reauthorize it and it was fine, but when I sync'd I got the same message. Finally had time to dig into it and discovered one email address/ID is authorized for one computer and has zero balance; the other is authorized for FIVE computers (weird, since we only have two) and has a balance.
I've purchased apps using the "no balance" account - but somehow the store is deducting payment from the ID with balance.

My friend has two ipods. Two Apple ID's and on one ipod he has a free text app on it and only Message on the other. He cannot receive a message from my iphone 4S on the one with Message, but receives it fine on the one with the free text app.
He can also receive a message from my iPad on the one with Message.
My question is how can he recieve a text from my iPhone to the ipod which has a different Apple ID than the other but does not have a free text app?
Also on the ipod he has the free text app he has not upgraded to ios7 and won't.Are the use the correct email address for the contact? Those are listed in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive. When Messaging somene the iOS devices used the email address (or phone number if applicable) listed in the Contact app for that person.
Thus, it appears the you Contact apps only has that one email address listed for the person you are trying to Message.
If he can send you a Messages can you reply to it? If so save the sender to your Contact app.
