Using Content Presenter inside Page Template
Hi all,
I want to show content of footer from UCM, so I used Content Presenter in the Footer to do it.
But I only can see the content when the template at the Edit mode and in the Preview Mode or normal mode I can't see anything
Do you have any suggestion for me
Thanks a lot!
You can Add content preseneter and also check whether you hav put all the footer requirements in the UCM and that should be in released mode.
After adding to the page you can choose the template summary to show in the desired view...
here is the complete step by step process yo can go through it.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/webcenter.1111/e10149/content_cp.htm
Regards,
Santosh.

Image not rendering when using Content Presenter Template
I have checked in an image in UCM with security group as "Public" and in the content presenter template I have the following code to display image:
<af:outputText value="#{node.propertyMap['TESTREGDEF:Image'].asTextHtml}" id="image5"
escape="false"/>
The image does not render on the page and it displays as a broken Image.I tried to print the value of the image URL and it is:
<img src="${wcmUrl('rendition','xyz/web')} " alt = "Logo">
Am I doing anything wrong?
Thanks,

I tried using af:image like below and its the same issue.I have read in most of the blogs that since this is in the content presenter template, the image has to be displayed using output text with escape set to false.
<af:image source="#{node.propertyMap['REGDEF:Image'].asTextHtml}" id="image5"/>
I am not using <img> anywhere, its just that on the webpage when the image doesnt appear, I tried to see the source of the image using Firebug and it shows following:

Image gallery in webcenter using content presenter template
Hi,
I created a content presenter template for image gallery in webcenter.
The images from UCM are not displayed without log in to the webcenter application.
I am getting a error like
" Error calling UCM server associated with repository UCM. The service GET_FILE was called with user anonymous at time 3/18/15 11:12 AM, and returned statuscode -1.
oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ServiceException: Unable to download 'HSCSRV154.ALLE006130'. Access denied by records manager "
Once i log in the images are displayed.
What is the problem here?please help.
I am using the latest webcenter extension in jdev 11.1.1.7
Thanks,

How to get maximum number of results using content presenter taskflow
Hello Friends,
I am using 11.1.1.6,
Below is the query is getting executed while content presenter taskflow get executed, Though I have more than 100 results in UCM, I am always getting only 25. Is there anywhere I can configure to fetch maximum number of results ? Though I set maxResults = 200, It always returns 25.
SELECT * FROM ora:t:IDC:GlobalProfile WHERE ora:p:xRegionDefinition = 'NEWS_REG_DEF' AND ora:p:xArchiveFlag='Yes' and ora:p:xDocumentSortDate > TIMESTAMP '2014-01-01T00:00:00.000+00:00' and ora:p:xDocumentSortDate < TIMESTAMP '2014-12-31T00:00:00.000+00:00' ORDER BY ora:p:xDocumentSortDate DESC

How to use content presenter with a multilanguage site
I would you like to know if it's possible to manage a content presenter with multi language ? Normally, if i would show a content with a template view , i choose a UCM content to the parameter interface of the content presenter. Anybody has found a solution to found automatically the right content when i choose a another language. For example, i create a content presenter associated to a English content on UCM , is it possible when the user changes his language to spanish for example to have the related content in spanish or not ?
There are a few options to do this but it requires quite a lot of customizations. Unfortunatly there is no out of the box solutoins to tackle this issue.
First of all you have to make sure the content in UCM is related to each other so when you have a document in english, you can easily find the same document in another language. This can be based upon additional meta fields or by using the related content component.
You probably also want to setup a workflow so when an english (or any language) document is checked in, the workflow kicks in and notify some other users so they know they have to translate that document.
In Webcenter you have to make sure that the content presenter can show content based upon language. Normaly you can't realy build dynamic queries in the content presenter and when you select all the content from a folder, there is no way to add filters based upon language.
In order to solve this issue, you can use the personalization server. By creating a scenario that takes the language as an input parameter (or by just querying the profile) you can build a dynamic CMIS query that can be used to power the content presenter. When you have configured the personalization server and create a scenario, you will be able to select that scenrio in the content presenter instead of selecting items or folder.
It's quite a bit of work to make it multilingual but currently this is the only solution i have found... -
Show document´s attachments using content presenter
DataBinder binder = idcClient.createBinder();
binder.putLocal("IdcService", "DOC_INFO");
binder.putLocal("dID", "xxxxx");
binder.putLocal("dDocName", "XXXXXXX");
ServiceResponse response =
idcClient.sendRequest(userPasswordContext, binder);
DataBinder db = response.getResponseAsBinder();
List<DataObject> atts = db.getResultSet("manifest").getRows();
Hi
I'm currently recovering attachments as above ..
I know exactly that line ..
List <DataObject> atts = db.getResultSet ("manifest"). getRows ();
returns me the list of attachments.
But I would do this via content presenter or otherwise do not use java code written by me..
I want to use ADF and WebCenter Framework in their entireties .. I want to use the most of the products ..
Have some way?
Any help is welcome ..please.. give an EL that´s works fine..

Using a SubTabBar inside a Template
Does anyone have a template that contains a SubTabBar?
I am using subtablayout/subtabbar in my pages and it works great. However, when I put them in my template, then when using the template in my pages, the page items are rendered outside of the subtabbar as opposed to inside of it.
How do I set up the template and pages so that the subtablayout/subtabbar is in the template?
Thanks,
ConnieYou can Add content preseneter and also check whether you hav put all the footer requirements in the UCM and that should be in released mode.
After adding to the page you can choose the template summary to show in the desired view...
here is the complete step by step process yo can go through it.

How do I create a table of content in a Pages Template (lay-out) document?
Dear all,
I recently started designing a brochure in Pages, using a lay-out document. The document counts over 100 pages. Now I need to make a table of contents and I just don´t get how to do this...
Any help is more then welcome!
With warm regards,
NinaThat sounds more like a book than a "brochure".
You can not make a TOC in Layout mode. The TOC only scans the styled text in the default text area (between the margins) of Word Processing documents and ignores everything else.

Issue with using SSXA region templates with Content Presenter.
I am using Content Presenter taskflow in Webcenter Portal. When i try to use the SSXA region template with content presenter, it doesnot render the html markup. But if i use normal UCM region templates(hscp), its rendering the html markup properly.
Http Server acts as a proxy for both webcenter and ucm. Enabled SiteStudio, SiteStudioforExternalApplications, Webcenter Configure and other required features in Webcenter. Can any one tell me, if i missed any step?
All i am getting the output as
${data.body}

This uses one region definition containing WYSIWYG element. I am able to edit and could type the html markup or data in WYSIWYG editor at contribution mode, but when i click save and close, all i am getting output as ${data.body}
I manually verified the data file in UCM, and i could see the information stored (the data entered in contribution mode)Prasath,
I'm not 100% sure but i believe that WebCenter does not support everything from the WCM tags. You can read the topic on SSXA on the WebCenter EMG:
https://groups.google.com/group/webcenter-emg/browse_thread/thread/2ef9cca0252a0ae3
Just a quote:
"With the 11.1.1.4 release, WebCenter is very much targeted at the type of sites that would have previously been done using the WCM components (eg. Extranet, Internet sites). By surfacing the site studio region templates (and allowing in place editing of the documents) many of the use cases can be met. The question now is not whether,or not, the native templating + region support is sufficient for your needs (WebCenter does not support all the WCM artefacts as yet). "

How to display embedded image & text in content presenter web template
We have a requirement to display both text and embedded image together like in WYSIWYG editor in Webcenter spaces. The content has to be dynamic and is context sensitive so that users in the same role can edit and publish the content. The users who are in different role would see different piece of content.
To achieve this use case, i think Content Presenter enabled with Site studio is the best choice. I have created element and region definitions with WYSIWYG and region templates in site studio. Created contributor data file in UCM. Content Presenter in webcenter is configured with that region definition and the region template etc.
At design time, the contributor data file is edited and some image / text is added in WYSIWYG editor.. But however at runtime view, i could see only the text added in WYSIWYG editor and the file name of the image embedded....Any one successfully used Content Presenter with Site studio???

</af:panelGroupLayout>
</af:panelGroupLayout>

When I run my project on the Integrated WebLogic Server and when I click on my page, the data is coming empty.
When I see the Administrator console, this content presenter template is in Hidden by default. I just edit the template and made it availabe. But still am unable to get result in the required template.
On my page, if I do not specify the <parameter id="templateView" value="${'templates.photos.list'}"/>, then I will get the result with default content presenter template.
Could any one please help me out?
Thanks
KotreshHi,
I am able to get the result with required custom content presenter template. But every time when I run the project , I need to explicitly need to make it "show" my custom content presenter display template i.e. in the Administration console, initially it is in Hidden state, I need to edit and make it show.
I already made this template as portal resource but why it is still be in Hidden state. what extra step do I need to make in order to move it to "show" state?
Thanks

Content Presenter - Custom templates
Hi,
I am using Content Presenter to render the contents stored in UCM 11g, and trying to use the Custom Template.
following steps were done:
1) created a very simple jsff file having following contents:
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page"
version="2.1"
xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich"
xmlns:dt="http://xmlns.oracle.com/webcenter/content/templates">
<dt:contentTemplateDef var="node">
<af:outputText value="#{node.name}" id="ot1"/>
</dt:contentTemplateDef>
</jsp:root>
2) Saved the jsff file in the location : /oracle/webcenter/content/templates/newsitem.jsff of the application
3) updated the template-registry.xml of my application with the following:
<view id="oracle.webcenter.content.templates.newsitem">
<name bundleKey="NEWS_ITEM">
News Item View
</name>
<description bundleKey="NEWS_ITEM">
Displays any single content item, Sample news item
</description>
<template-def>
/oracle/webcenter/content/templates/newsitem.jsff
</template-def>
</view>
4) Use the Content Presenter will all other details and update the "Template View" parameter with : 'oracle.webcenter.content.templates.newsitem'
However, it throws the following exception: pls help
<AbstractTemplateTag><include(PageContext pageContext, String viewId)> Error processing the display template include for template viewID /oracle/webcenter/content/templates/newsitem.jsff located at /oracle/webcenter/content/templates/newsitem.jsff

RaviAre you trying to create a custom template for content presenter?
If so, the directions for PS3 are here:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_content_presenter.htm#CHDIGDED
I think that the manual updating of templates-registry, described in previous releases here:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_content.htm#CJABEDIH
is no longer needed. -
Trouble creating content presenter template
I'm trying to create a template for the content presenter that will display a table view of files in a folder.
I tried creating a custom template based off the sample list-detailed-tabular-view.jsff that was included. but I am having trouble figuring out what my error is.
When I export the template I can successfully upload it to webcenter but when I try to apply the template to a content presenter the page goes blank and I have to go back to administration to disable the template to get the page to load again.
After several failed attempts I even tried copying the sample table template directly without changing any of the code but when I apply it the page still goes blank and becomes inaccessible
This only happens when I try to create a template that calls another single template. I was able to get a template working that was for a single item, but I need to get the documents under a folder to work...
How can I troubleshoot whats causing the error? I am new so I have a feeling I may be missing some steps when creating,exporting, or uploading the template.
Below are the sources for the 2 templates, do I have to create anything else besides a .jsff file?
Single Item which works by it self:
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich"
xmlns:dt="http://xmlns.oracle.com/webcenter/content/templates">
<dt:contentTemplateDef var="node">
<af:goImageLink text="#{node.name}"
id="gil1" icon="#{node.primaryProperty.icon.smallIcon}"
destination="#{node.primaryProperty.url}"
targetFrame="_blank"
shortDesc="#{not empty node.propertyMap['xComments'].value.stringValue ? node.propertyMap['xComments'].value.stringValue : node.primaryProperty.value.binaryValue.name}"
rendered="#{not empty node}">
<af:showPopupBehavior triggerType="mouseOver" popupId="::cpPopup"/>
</af:goImageLink>
<af:outputText id="emptyot" value="#{templateBundle.EMPTY_NODE}"
rendered="#{empty node}"/>
</dt:contentTemplateDef>
</jsp:root>
The Table Template that calls the single item (this is what seems to break the page when I activate it)
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
<!-- Test -->
<jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich"
xmlns:dt="http://xmlns.oracle.com/webcenter/content/templates">
<dt:contentListTemplateDef var="nodes">
<jsp:include page="./support/miniView.jsff"/>
<af:table rowSelection="none" columnSelection="none" columnStretching="column:c1"
columnBandingInterval="0" rowBandingInterval="1" var="node" value="#{nodes}"
summary="#{templateBundle.DEFAULT_TABULAR_LIST_TEMPLATE_DESC}" id="tblRslt"
emptyText="#{templateBundle.EMPTY_NODES}" styleClass="AFStretchWidth"
autoHeightRows="25">
<af:column id="c1a" rowHeader="unstyled"
headerText="#{null}"
rendered="#{userPreferences.accessibilityMode=='screenReader'}">
<af:outputText value="#{node.name}" id="ot1"/>
</af:column>
<af:column headerText="#{templateBundle.COLUMN_DOCUMENT}"
sortable="true" align="left" minimumWidth="200"
sortProperty="name" id="c1">
<dt:contentTemplate node="#{node}"
view="keith.list.item"
nodesHint="#{nodes}" id="ct1"/>
</af:column>
<af:column headerText="#{templateBundle.COLUMN_MODIFIED_DATE}"
sortProperty="modifiedDate" sortable="true" align="end"
id="c2">
<af:outputText value="#{node.modifiedDate}" id="ot2">
<af:convertDateTime type="both"
timeZone="#{generalSettings.userTimeZone}"/>
</af:outputText>
</af:column>
<af:column headerText="#{templateBundle.COLUMN_MODIFIED_USERNAME}"
sortProperty="modifiedBy" sortable="true" align="end"
id="c3">
<af:outputText value="#{node.modifiedBy}" id="ot3"/>
</af:column>
</af:table>
</dt:contentListTemplateDef>
</jsp:root>
Also if anyone knows where I can find tutorials to learn how to create the templates that would be great.You may want to repost your question in the WebCenter Portal forum. The problem is likely not on the Content Server side.

An improved Content Presenter Portlet
I've been working on a site migration project from a content manager to Weblogic Portal, and for the Weblogic Portal site we are planning to use Content Presenter Portlet to show most of the content that already exist on that site, almost all is just text and images, but there is a problem with the usability of the portal, I mean the process to create a new page(desktop) is not that simple for a non-technical user, for example the user has to create the content in the repository organize everything very well and then create the desktop, add the content presenter protlet and then configure the portlet and of course if the author wants to edit the content when the repository has library services enabled he has to follow a large process...chose edit, chech out, choose property, edit, save, check in and finally see those changes(or wait until it is approved)... in the old content manager is not that difficult to do that... so I've been thinking to write some templates for the content presenter portlet that reduces the number of steps, windows and clics for the assistant, and allow the authors to create the content instead of just choosing it, and finally allow the in-line editing with library services enabled.... What do you think about it??? I know this is not a simple task.... but I want to know your opinion.... has somebody tried to do something similar??? any comment is welcomed...
This is a sample template which explicitly was not implemented to support Library Services. The OOTB sample application in which this template lives does not have Library Services enabled on the repository. You are free to take this sample and modify it to suite your needs, either for learning or to modify to meet your requirements. The template was amply commented so that you can follow the ideas and implementation.
