You can continue using CS3 if you already have it on your computer - as long as you're not looking at using tons of new features CS6 holds at present
This doesn't mean you can 'crack' CS3 and start using it
If you don't already have a CS3 license, you cannot buy one for free. You have to purchase a new license and the only available license at this point is CS6. Visit http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite.html for details on licensing

i have a story about my sister, am talking on her behalf, she got stolen her phone at a caffee when she just come from a horeble exam, she was very mad and having haedace for not doing well at the exam, i ask her if we could have coffee before we go home, once she sate; while i was getting the coffee for her, some one snicked to her pocket and took the phone, immidatly she feelt it and went on to searching, but nathing was hopefull. what makes it more heart braking is that she worked day and night just to buy the phone and pay for her books and so on as a student. she use to work 16 houres a day before she had to start school. 8 houres in one place and then to the other place. and she was always demanding for more houres to work; one day her boss saw her on her other job and she was serprised to see her and saied OHhh my God Milly if you work like this, i wonder if you servive, how could you also ask for more houres, My sis had to do it she has no parents or any thing, well the phone was taken after only two months of having it. the sad thing is she stile dream having it even though she can't think of buying againe. well me i have tryed a lot of things but i know some were out there there is a solution for people like this, it is not always fare for some one who has payed up to 800 to just loose his ......

I'm sorry, but your sister, unless she had already turned on the "Find my iPhone" feature and the person who took the phone has not disabled it, is out of luck. She should report the theft to local police authorities, including the serial number of her iPhone. While her experience is unfortunate, there are good reasons why Apple cannot do anything else about it.
I hope she gets her phone back.

Use Tax for Free of charge items

Here is the scenario:
In our Business, there is a process to give a Free item with mostly all the products sold online. In SAP, we will create regular sales order with 1 line item as TAN and other item category as TANN.
The Business wants to calculate Use tax on the 2nd line item where Net value=0. As we use the same Pricing procedure, we cannot charge different taxes based on line item.
The other option was to send the cost details to Vertex, so that they can store it in Vertex and use for Tax calculations. The technical issue is that whenever the Net value=0, Vertex RFC is not called.
We have proposed to create a report in SAP which will tell them the order details with Free items but this is not acceptable to Business.
Has anyone worked on such scenario where Use tax is calculated on the Sales side for Free of charge items.

The basic concept in tax is seller can levy the appropriate tax on the items which they are billing. This being the case, I am not sure, why for a free of charge item, tax should be levied. Can you please share in which Business process, this is being followed. Needless to mention, if at all you want to achieve this requirement, have a separate condition type for this free goods, set as statistical, so that, only tax portion would be posted to FI.

Is it possible to use Citrix for home-use and for free, Only one use?

I am a .Net developer so i need to have Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Windows for my Work, but i like iPad 2 in Tablets so that i bought one, Now in a video i have seen that Citrix is such a professional Desktop and App Virtualization that it seems Microsoft Windows is running on iOS, so i want to use it but not for business and just for home use, is it possible to set it up for free?

Citrix does not allow iOS to run Windows. Citrix products are one of several ways to connect an iOS device to a system that does run Windows and allow the iOS device to take control of that Windows system. Citrix, to the best of my knowledge, does not make their back-end products (i.e. the software that runs on the system to which you want to connect) available for free; it's usually quite expensive as it's intended for enterprise use.
Citrix for home use would almost certainly be vast overkill, though. Just do a web search for "VNC". VNC is a solution for Windows and iOS that would allow you to take control of your Windows system.

I have a cable modem Motorola with a Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO router, with G5 desktop connected to wire and laptop wireless, I set up the Router with it's CD installation it takes me step by step, and at the end my network is connected and ready to go but it never asked to secure my network, according to my wireless laptop Macbook my network is not secured I see other people's network lock sign, but mine is missing, How do I lock it, and where do I start from, I've been using Apple for 20 years but wireless network is new to me.

In addition you want to;
a) Make the network closed. This means that it won't show up using normal means when somebodys computer does a network search. Sometimes you'll see an option for not broadcasting the SSID, that's the same thing.
b) Use MAC address filtering. This means that even if you know the password you won't be able to connect if your MAC address does not match that which you have entered into the routers configuration.
c) Also as has been mentioned by Matt Clifton, WPA is the way to go. Choose WPA2 though if it's available.
d) Once complete, make a copy of the configuration settings if the router allows it.
Again, a really determined hacker will be able to breach, but most people are not really determined hackers. Basically make switch on every available security feature you have. If you forget the password and can't get on it's easy enough to press the little hard reset button on the back of the device and reload the copy of the configuration settings you made earlier.

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Do i need to download Face Time to use this app? How come i was able to use this for free just last week? Now the same iPad FaceTime cannot connect to mine?

Last week, I was in the same country as the Ipad I connected to through Face Time and it worked. Now, I am in another country and we cannot connect to each other. It just keeps ringing. Is this country related? I don't really know.
When I looked for answers, I found that i had to download Face Time for a fee. I thought it was free. Is that why I cannot connect?

What you can do instead of the partition is create a new user for your son on (YOUR partition).
Transfer all purchases from the device to iTunes Back up the iPad , restore the device , synchronize the device.
Erase your son's partition after you are sure everything works .

Using WRT54G for Free Hotspot Service

Hi, my company owns 2 x WRT54G's and I would like to set them up for use as HOTSPOT access points for our customers.
Is it possible to configure these routers in such a way where when a customer connects and opens internet explorer that they can be directed instantly to a specified website?
and if not then is there some sort of utility or device I could use in conjunctions withthe WRT54G's in order to make this happen?

Just look at their website. Use your favorite search engine. I have already mentioned the chillispot keyword. There are at least a few pages on that topic. Chillispot is a captive portal which is what you want to do. I guess they have it in the dd-wrt because they support it.

Can I "do" Flex for free?

Excuse if I have posted this in the wrong area... I am
looking over all the Flex info and am a bit confused on
a) all the pieces involved to "do" Flex, and
b) what is free and what is going to cost big $$$.
I see there is an express (dumbed-down?) version of the
Eclipse IDE tool which appears to be free. And some components that
are free (for any use?) if they are limited to a single CPU . And I
also see there is a Flex server for $20,000! So if I wanted to
create an internal flex app for my small business, is that possible
for free? What if I wanted to create an app for our
"outward-facing" web site for our clients? and what if I wanted to
create a Flex app for another client for their web site? I guess I
am really asking what kind of $$$ would it cost to Live in Flex,
and if this is more for enterprise budgets and not small shops or
free lance developers.

Hey Man,
I hear you it can be a bit confusing. So lets break it down a
bit. There are several flex products and each has a couple
versions. So the first one is the Flex 2 SDK. This is freely
available and includes all the framework files and a command line
compiler. This allows you to use notepad or any other text editor
to write your mxml and as code and compile it. This is completly
free on non-restrictice of what you do with the swf you create.
However tools are a big part of any development language so
the next product is Flex Builder 2. Flex Builder (FB) is an IDE
(Integrated Development Environment) that has all sorts of tools
for writing your code including a visual wysiwyg editor for your
flex application. Its has a built in debugger and lots of features.
Flex Builder 2 costs $499.
Both the flex sdk and flex builder allow you to create flex 2
swf applications which you can deploy to as many servers as you
like, they get uploaded just like a swf made in the Flash 8 IDE..
Or heck sell them at your discretion (the swf not the sdk or
flexbuilder ). With both of these you can communicate with a
backend server using RPC (remote procedure call) invocations. These
can be done over http using the httpService, soap using webService,
and AMF using RemoteObject to talk to ColdFusion.
Then next peice of the software puzzle is the Charting
Components. By themselves I think they are around 300 dollars. but
You can also buy them bundled with flex builder and get both
products for (I think) around 50 less than buying them seperate.
The last peice is the Flex Data Services. This is a J2EE
server and allows for exceptional functionality including
messaging, colloaboration, and data syncronization. There is a free
version of this application taht is limited to 1 cpu servers and
100 connections. This product is called FDS Express. Then there is
the full version of this server that costs in the range ow $20,000.
So as you see there are a couple routes you can take to use
Flex for free, but to get the "Enterprise" features and tooling you
will need to shell out a little dow. Depending on what you are
looking for, it could be alot of dow :)

TC was designed to backup your Mac. The TC literature is pretty clear about this:
If your Mac's hard drive has a problem....it will sooner or later....you can use your backup on the TC to rebuild your Mac.
But.....if you move all of your data to the TC from your Mac....you only have one version of that data now, and it is on the TC.
Have you thought about what will happen when....not if....the TC has a problem? Since the only version of your important data was on the TC, and the TC has failed......you lose all of your data.....because you have no backup.
A much better plan would be to add a USB or FireWire hard drive and connect it directly to your Mac. Move the data on your Mac over to the hard drive.
Then, the TC will backup both your Mac and the hard drive. So, you have original data on on one drive and backups on another drive.
That would be a minimum backup plan. Most of us have more than one set of backups.
