Using CS6 with a scanner

Hi, I have PS CS4 loaded on my PC as a 32 bit and 64 bit version (32 bit to allow me to use my canon scanner). I wish to use both of my newly purchased PS CS6 lisences for 1 x PC and 1 x Laptop in 64 bit. Do I need to retain CS4 32 bit to keep the scanner (TWAIN) access or will it work OK in CS6 64 bit?

TWAIN does not exist in 64bit and depending on how old your scanner is even the rudimentary WIA support may not work in 64bit. Keep CS4 around or consider purchasing VueScan as a replacment for your native driver if possible.

It shouldn't be at all. I'm running Photoshop CS6 on a 2011 MBP and it's working fine. The only thing that I can figure out is that you may not be running at the recommended resolution? What res are you working in? Photoshop is not yet optimized for the full screen display max on the MBP-R.

Why can only use CS6 with loose elements on desktop?

2 months of pulling my hair out and rebuilding hard drives, installing OX10.8.2 and CS6 multiple times.... no fix in sight. 10.8.2 only works with all files, loose on the desktop, CS6 InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat etc, work fine. The moment any files are located in any folder anywhere else including the desktop, InDesign hangs and need s Forced Quit, not good. I run graphic design service and dont need issues. Luckily I have a tower with three 1T drives and three OS system. Mountain Lion (issues) Lion on another (issues) and third drive with Snow leopard with CS4 and CS6 both work great. Now having to retreat back to Snow Leopard but icloud email not working... AHHHHH. This is clearly a permissions issue with apple not letting Adobe into the fold. Has anybody fixed their own similar conflicts? Thanks in advance for any help

Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to
“X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
2. Delete all the files in this folder.
3. On test PC, delete local cache files.
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.

Industry standard files such as JPEG are compatible with many brands/versions of programs
Proprietary files such as those created by InDesign are often not backwards compatible, due to new features in newer program versions
This is not unique to Adobe... MS Word DOCX files are not backwards compatible with earlier versions of MS Word

Im using Adobe Flash Professional CS6 with AIR, im a bit of a novice when it comes to this.
But for university I have to make an application for an android device that plays short videos.
Ive imported the videos onto the library and placed them on the stage and it runs on the test of my machine but once publish the app to test it on the tablet all i get is a black box. done some reseach into this and cant find the resolution.
like i said im a bit of a novice and this is a whole new area for me. any help/advice would be great.

Hey, did you get any solution to the problem? I'm facing the same issue. but my videos are in a separate folder and using ADDCHILD i'm trying to attach them on the stage. they work fine on desktop but not on android. i also included the video folder in android packager.

Can we use CS6 under a CC license? We have about 25 CS6 installations and need more CS6-licenses. Our other software is not (yet) compatible with CC.

We need more CS6 installations at our company. However, it's not possible to buy CS6, only CC. The software we are using in combination with CS6 is still not compatible with CC. So have have to use CS6 until that software is upgraded. Can we buy CC licenses (or membership) and use that licenses to activate new CS6 installations?

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

I need to use CS6 in two different computers, but one at a time. Can I do it with a single license?

I have a desktop computer which I use everyday o my office. However, I occasionaly need to use CS6 on my laptop when I work from home. Can I use a sigle license for both computers, provided it's one at a time? How would I go about setting this up?
