Using Custom Spelling Dictionary?

I'm doing some serious copy editing for a professional document. And I have lots of specific terminology. Does anyone know if a way to add a custom dictionary to Pages?
Word lets you add any number of custom dictionaries, so I was able to add my Stedman's to the list, and I don't have to manually add all of the medical terms.
(and I find it amusing that my US English choice still seems to give me French word preferences!)

where is the custom spelling dictionary for Keynote/Pages located? I would like to use the same dictionary on two different computers, but at the moment all of my "learned" spellings are lost when I transfer my files to a different Mac.

look at /Users/<yourusername>/Library/Spelling/ for files like "en", "de" and so on.
BTW, the spelling dictionaries are used system wide, e.g. by Mail, TextEdit, Pages.

One of our client has asked this hyphenation pattern.
That is, when we do the composition, all the hyphenated word present in the Indesign file for the particiular client should follow "New Oxford Spelling Dictionary 3rd Ed" dictionary.

Spelling dictionary refuses to forget

I recently misspelled the word 'knowledgeable' as 'knowledgable' and was given two spelling suggestions by Apple Spell Check:
'knowledgeable' (correct)
'knswledgable' (no idea where this came from..)
I took a look in the custom user dictionary file, and found the offending misspelling. I deleted the word there, but spell check still thought it was a proper word. I tried restarting, learning and forgetting the word using the spell check window, and doing the same with a little pref pane called Dictionary Cleaner. Spell check insistes that 'knswledgable' is a correct spelling, and doesn't give the option to forget it, almost as if it's in the real dictionary file! I've also tried repairing permissions, and changing the permissions on the user dictionary file from the default to everyone having read/write. Still nothing.

I took a look in the custom user dictionary file, and found the offending misspelling. I deleted the word there,
Did you after deleted the word, save the wordlist with a other NAME ? No .. try to rename the wordlist in spellchecker wordlist.
Like wordlist_1
Close the file an go to costume dictionaries an select the NEW wordlist.
Try to type the same misspelled word again and see what happens.

How do I change my spelling dictionary?

I have accidentally clicked on "add to dictionary" when trying to correct a few misspelled words while using firefox.
So I went to finder/library/application support/firefox/profiles/persdict.dat
There I found a list of the words. So I deleted the misspelled words. Clicked "save" and exited.
However, next time I open finder and open the persdict/dat file again, those stupid words are still in there!!
So how do I edit my "spelling word bank" that has the misspelled words? Thanks.

IWeb and spelling dictionary

I use a lot of technical terms which I tell the dictionary to learn. It works fine the rest of that session. Next time I start up iWeb, it hasn't remembered any of the "learned" words.

Can you explain the alternate language dictionaries
and how you get access to them or switch between
them?
They are accessed via Edit > Spelling > Spelling > Dictionary.
Also what format do they take? Is it possible to edit
and build them yourself?
I am mainly interested in German, Italian, Spanish,
Serbo-Croatian and Mandarin/Cantonese. But the more
the merrier s:-)
For spellchecking dictionaries beyond those provided by Apple, use CocoaSpell or other options mentioned here. I've not heard of anyone trying to make their own.

Edit OSX Spelling dictionary - can't delete words

How do I delete an word from the OSX spelling dictionary? Some words in my dictionary do not conform to the latest “Gaelic Orthographic Conventions - 2005” (See www.sqa.org.uk). I can add correct version words, but I want to get rid of the old version.
I have read the Mac Help article "Using advanced spell-checking options": which says “If you accidentally add a mis-spelled word to the dictionary, type the mis-spelling in the Spelling dialogue, and click Forget”
Unfortunately this does not help. The old word is not removed. Is there a file I can edit in some other way?

Sam makes a good point. If there is something you don't like about the Apple dictionary, you can use others, either from the internal supply or by downloading from this site:

Selecting a spelling dictionary with AppleScript

I would like is to have several buttons on Mail's toolbar and have an Applescript attached to each that sets the spelling dictionary language. Can this be done?

I don't know for the buttons, but here is a script that can set the language used in the spelling dictionary (at least with Mail 3.5 and Mac OS X 10.5.6). The script has been written for the French Canadian keyboard and could need some minor changes when used with other keyboards.

Spelling Dictionary wrong?

Does anyone else's dictionary try to correct "untriggered" to "untrjggered"? I checked my custom spelling file, and I didn't put it in there wrong. Just curious if I beat the computer at spelling. WIN?

SRM -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Extensions and Field Control (Personalization) -> Create Table Extensions and Supply with Data

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to read excel data from the uploaded file and insert the data into Oracle Database.
The following way for your reference:
1.Create a Visual Web Part using Visual Studio.
2. Add an asp.net upload control into the .ascx file.

How to get data for current week and previous week using customer exit in Bex.

I have a scenario in which I need to display data for current week and previous week (based on "sy_datum" the program has to calculate current week and previous week) in Bex using Customer exit. I have created one variable in Bex Query Designer and I have written code for the variable in CMOD. But it is not working fine, (I know that we can do the same by using offset value in Bex). Can some one guide me how to achieve my requirement using customer exit.

When I create an unstructured template and use it in a report with show timing set to true, the timing does not show up.

Interactive Report - search does not work when using custom authentication

Apex 3.2.x
I can authenticate fine with my custom authentication and all of my pages work okay except for one page that uses the Interactive Report feature. When I click 'Filter' then enter the column name, operation (contains, =, like, etc.) and the expression, then click the 'Apply' button, the page just re-displays and my filter information is missing?
If I first login to Apex, select and run my application, the Interactive Report features work just fine. What's missing?

More information:
After login into my Apex workspace (development environment), when I display the Interactive Report and click debug I see this debug message:
"using existing session report settings"
When I login using my application's custom authentication and click debug I see this debug message:
"creating session report settings as copy of public saved report"
Based on this, it appears that my session info in not set correctly when using custom authentication... but I'm not sure what needs to be set.
