Using dept ID on Canon-iRADVC5250 from MAC10.8.5

OS - mix of Windows OS & MAC's
Print queue thru server 2008
Dept ID - No ID for B&W jobs( print or copy)
Printer driver - PS3
Situation -configurations on Windows OS is fine.
MAC- if we enable dept ID on the properties ,the password is asked everytiime whenever we print jobs whether B&W or color.,which we don't want.we want to have B&W jobs sent without password being asked as we want to restrict color usage.
Please advise if there can be any solution.

I have a 7D2 and have not had what I interpret as poor image quality that has anything to do with the camera.
Can you post a screenshot of what you’re seeing and what specifically you don’t like? Maybe there is something you can do differently or at least there may be an explanation for what you’re seeing.
And if you have a raw image that you wouldn’t mind sharing in a public forum, upload to http://www.dropbox.com/ then post a public share link to it in a reply, here.
In other words post a screenshot of what you see in LR, another of what you see using DPP, and a link to the raw file you’re processing.

Simply export some photos from iPhoto to a folder on the desktop and experiment.
Without telling us even what this program is, not to mind what it does, that's the best anyone can suggest.

I can't print to my networked Canon MF8350 from my imac after Mavericks.

I have an iMac, just upgraded to Mavericks, as well as an iBook. They are both connected to my Canon mf8350 via airport- timecapsule- ethernet. The iMac however connects to the timecapsule over an AE bridge.
Printing worked perfectly before the Mavericks upgrade.
The iBook printed just fine right out of the gate, it uses the old Canon 10.1.0 driver, and I have not touched this.
The iMac spooled its print job, then replied "communication error". I repaired permissions, restarted everything, and same result.
I removed the Canon from my printer list and tried to add it, it was not found.
Updated to Canon driver 10.2.0, printer is still not appearing in the list. Reset the printing system, still no dice. Both Canon MF background items are running according to Activity Monitor.
iBook still prints just fine.
Any ideas?

Did you add the printer using Bonjour or did you select one of the IP protocols? If the latter, then you cannot use IPP. The Canon MF driver supports LPD or HP Jetdirect.

If you mean that after you change the USE menu to "Select printer software" and the Printer Software window is empty, then try restarting your Mac. This can rebuild the printer list.

The new MF v10.x driver does not install or use the MF Background process. So this process is a leftover from a previous driver. I would therefore recommend you trash the older driver files and run the v10.2.0 driver installer again.
Depending on the version of driver you had installed prior to upgrading to Mavericks, the name of the folder can be different but will reside in /Library/Printers/Canon. Here you will see BJPrinter and IJScanner. Leave them alone and just remove the one or two that have MF in the name.
You then need to navigate to /Library/Launch Agents/ and trash any Canon plist file. Then restart the Mac and run the Canon MF v10.2 installer again and then see if you can add the MF8350.

Unable to use PE9 with my Canon 5D Mark III

I could use some help please. When I try to download my new Canon 5D Mark III Raw into PE9 I get an error message telling me that PE is unable to open it because it is the wrong file type. My new Canon 5D Mark III lists the file type as ST8Axxxx instead of the normal IMG_xxxx that I'm used to. Can anyone tell me how to use PE9 with my Canon 5D Mark III camera? Thank you!

Hi,
The 5D MK III is not supported by PSE 9. It requires ACR 6.7 or 7.1 which will not apply to PSE 9.
You can either :-
1) Update to a newer version of elements
2) Use the Canon software to covert the raw files to TIF files and then import the TIF files
3) Download and install the free Adobe DNG Converter. Convert the raw files to DNG files and then import the DNG files into elements.

Which URL to use to open a financial report from a Task list ?

I've got a big issue in Hyperion Planning : I do not know which URL to use to open a financial report from a task list.
If I use the Smartcut (given when you do a right-click on the report, then Properties), a tab is opening (normal behaviour), but another tab is opening under the tab, which is very ugly, and moreover which prevent from using the PDF/HTML display icons !
Is someone know which URL to use to display correctly a financial report when opening it from a task list ?
It's an emergency, please help !

OK, thanks, it almost works !!
I've just a problem. 2 tabs are opening.
One is opening correctly and displays my report. I can display it in PDF/HTML.
But another tab is opening with this message : This window can now be closed since the application has been launched in a separate window. Note: Popup blockers may prevent this application from working properly.
Do you know why this tab is opening ?

I just got this message and sent it to [email protected] per instructions on another post. the link leads to a page asking for Apple id and credit card information.

I got a similar email. It's obviously Spam. The double period afetr the first sentence and the otherwise poor grammar are dead giveaways even before I checked out the link embedded. -- I didn't click on it, just hovered over it to get the url. You need to look for your itunes library under Computers and select it, then music.
Music column is for web based content not local content, just to confuse everyone.

You are trying to use home sharing, you are logged into the same account for sharing on both computers (and they are connected to the same wifi network), and what happens when you try to copy your library ? Can you update your iTunes so that they are the same on both ?

That's the classic behaviour after using Migration Assistant and that's normal.

This message is displayed if your iOS device has been trying to complete a restore for more than three days. This can occur if your restore has been interrupted due to network connectivity issues or some other problem occurs.
Being that this is the case, you would want to go back to the article it seems you were referred to us from and try to restore from your icloud backup again:

Until Evernote updates their add-on to mark it compatible with Firefox 6, you can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ Add-on Compatibility Reporter] to try re-enabling it yourself.
You can also downgrade to a previous version of Firefox from [https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ this archive], but please be warned that some old versions of Firefox have known security bugs that are fixed in later versions. Thanks. I don't know if it seems obvious to everyone, but it shouldn't be needed to double click to seet it. If anyone finds out why there isn't a week view in the Calendar native app, or a way to make it avaiable I would be thankfull. If not, I will continue using third party app for that purpose.
