and was wondering what digital projectors
are recommended for displaying widescreen
content (as in HD content aroudn 1280 x 720) ?

I would like to use an ipod nano for slideshows with a digital projector...wondering if you ever got an answer to this question? I would like to know if you can hook one up to a digital projector before i purchase one, and if so, which cables do i need?

I have plugged my G4 Powerbook TI into two different projection systems, one at a Chevron facility and another at the Las Vegas Convention center. Absolutely NO problems what-so-ever! These things are designed to work with the same projectors/displays as almost anything out there, especially Apple Powerbooks.
I did just get a deal from Office Depot ($899) for a Sharp XR-11C that has 1024x768 resolution with 2,000 Lumens! OH, and it is HD ready as well! Yes, you can use it for presentations as well as hooking it up to the cable box for the Super Bowl and the Final Four! LOL! My sales manager used on her pc notebook and it was simply awesome. Super crisp, great color rendition, fairly easy to use and it came with pretty much all the cables you will ever need. YOu did keep your RGA/DVI adapter, right? You will need that more then likely. CFP-2220 using digital output for status to another cFP-2220

I have two cfp-2220 that I want to connect with each other using the DIO's of 5V that they have.
The problem that I have is that I don't know the impedance to connect the CFP2220-1 Digital Output 1 to a relay for switching the CFP2220-2 Digital Input 1.
I am using a relay for interfacing the signal. This relay needs 34mA 5V to operate. I am not sure if the CFP2220 would have the needed power to turn the relay on and to close the contact that will operate the CFP2220-2 Digital Input 1. In the user manual of the CFP2220 does not mention anything about it.

Here is the current specification for the digital outputs on the 2220: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/0147137D2442E4A9862572C100758895?OpenDocument. As you can see there, it only supports 3mA, so it would not be possible to use this relay. In addition to this, you should be careful using this outputs, as the manual specifies they are not isolated.

Using a projector for presentations

I am and will be making presentations on the road. Prior to my first presentation I set up my projector and fiddled with it to work correctly immediately when I plugged it in. So, I was prepared in advance to avoid any problems.
So much for advance planning. I made a presentation today at a facility that already had a projection system in place. What I tried to avoid through advanced planning turned challenging. Immediately upon plugging into their system my display turn to horrible. I went to split screen with part of my display on the projection screen and the other on my MBP. The graphics were no longer correct; huge grainy screen not what I expected.
Is there an area I could go to that would guide me through how to set up my MBP when in a strange environment? Thanks.

I use a projector quite a lot with few problems. Go to Displays in System Preferences and select "show display in menu bar" so you have the screen icon in the menu bar. Then when you plug in a projector you can quickly click on that icon to see if it appears in the list (eg Proxima). If it doesn't you manually change the color and resolution settings to something that hopefully works

Using differnent templates for same content

Hi all,
I have an issue where we have a Page Group with lots of pages/sub-pages.
There are three different User Groups, Internal, Customer and Supplier.
I need to display the same content but with different templates (look and feel), one for the Internal, one for the customer and one for the supplier.
Can this be done using Oracle Portal 10.1.14? If so, how?

If you mean an HTML templates, you could use a CSS-based design and include logic in "oracle" tags in your HTML template that chooses the CSS based on group membership. You could use the wwsec_api.is_user_in_group function to check for group membership and display the appropriate CSS as a result.
If you're talking about three different portal templates, I'd recommend publishing your content as page portlets, and putting those portlets on three different pages, each having a different view privilege.
Or perhaps some combination of techniques would work.
I'm not sure what that has to do with having lots of pages/sub-pages". Are you trying to reuse more content and lower the number of pages?

Using digital projector with macbook

A basic question from an escaped PC user.
What keystroke is used to tell my macbook to send the display output to an external projector?
I need the equivalent of the F8 key I used on my work supplied PC laptop
I have purchased the link cable so the hardware side is OK .

As usual with a apple you don't need to do anything! I use mine for presentations and you just plug the projector in and hey presto.
You can adjust the screen setting in System prefs, Displays.
If you use iWork, Keynotes is great using this setup. You can run the display on the projector and get a real host of info. up on the MacBook display.

How to set & use digital trigger for AIN on a DAQmx?

1) How I configure a task to allow a digital input line to trigger a AIN reading in VB6.0 with a USB-6210?
2) To help me answer the above I created a task in Measurement & Automation Explorer that used a digital trigger (TRIGGER TYPE= DIGITAL EDGE, TRIGGER SOURCE = PFI0, EDGE=RISING). Then from VB I tried to figure out the parameters that were set. I had no luck. So, once I understand to achieve (1) above I want to be able to verify the resulting settings. What command(s) would I use?

Digital Signatures for mutliple company code

Our client have multiple company codes & they want to use digital signature for all the company code and there be individual authorised digital signatory for each comp code.
Now the question is , whether we have procure different digital signature for individual company codes & if so how system will identifies which authorised ditigatl signature should be assigned to respective company code...?
=> We are not able to download Adobe Form local & aslo is it mandatory to have digital signature to download Form 16 on a local system.

Digital Signature is person specific
You have to take the Digital signature ( A number assigned for each signatory with the tool),from an authorized services provided by NSDL
In a single company code if you have 2/3 signatories , first you need to make groups based on the signing authorities, in combination of PA/PSA/EG/ESG/BA etc
The form 16 is to be generated on the above criteria applicable.
3 file of form16 will be generated and send accross to 3 signing authorities
The signing authority can open the form using the tool ,digitial signatory software install and can authenticate the form16.
As per NSDL form16 is now not an statuory doucment. Its just an Tax Information of an Employee.
which is not required to be attached with your ITR's also
So why do you require the Digital signature to be printed on the form16 . Pls check this up with your finance team

I want to use digital signatures for results recording and usage decision (ud) when performing a calibration (inspection type 14). Normally you'd set-up the material authorization for digital signatures. But this can't be added to maintenance plans or equipment. Is there any way to set-up digital signatures for calibrations?

Our corporate policy is for all messages to be digitally signed when being sent and I want to know if this works out of the box or not.

I haven't tried S/MIME or digital signatures.

I want to run a HASH routine (MD5) and then an encryption algorithm (RSA 64 bytes) over a string of characters ( for the some of the input fields NOT all) to generate the output with digital seal. In essence this is the concept of digital signature.

You can't use MS Office on the iPad as Microsoft haven't made app versions of their programs (you can only use apps that are in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad), but there are apps that support word, excel and powerpoint documents. The options include Apple's Pages app for Word documents, Numbers for Excel spreadsheets and Keynote for Powerpoint. And from third-parties apps such as Documents To Go ('premium' version) and QuickOffice Pro HD.
As to how you then get the file to your chosen app will depend upon what the app supports - different apps will have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc
