Using digital signatures in SRM 7.0

Hi!
Anybody know where I can get any presentation/documentation/book about using digital signatures in SAP SRM 7.0?
I found only some places, but these places have no good information:
1. Only one page on help.sap.com ttp://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/EN/e1/8907209b5444958508c460ba6635d8/frameset.htm
2. Help in SPRO
3. Some forum threads without complete answers...
Whether somebody tried this functionality?
Thanks for answers,
Eugeny

I also see other way, special for SRM functionality:
SAP Implementation Guide -> SAP Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Digital Signature -> Activate Digital Signatures
Here (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/EN/e1/8907209b5444958508c460ba6635d8/frameset.htm) I see following phrase:
"The digital signature function is a web-only function. In other words, it can only be run in a browser".
Whether means it that all certificates must be stored on the application server in the keystore database and user can't use any electronic keys like Alladdin eTocken on own computer?

    Is it possible to use digital signature in Sales order of SAP B1 ?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hello
    Signature by scanned image is possible, you can create a function to do it. please note: images must be inside the reports, and hide them with a CR function.
    For certificate based sigbature of CR is not possible, you must develop an addon for that which is do this functionality.

  • How to use Digital Signature and PKI in SharePoint Server 2013

    Dear Expert,
    My company will plan to use Digital Signature and PKI document in SharEPoint Server 2013.
    Can you guide me what's the concept and how to implement and develop?
    Please suggestion.
    BR,

    Hi BR,
    Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to use Digital Signature and PKI in SharePoint Server 2013.
    You can use digital signatures in forms ,then use these forms in you SharePoint site.
    In InfoPath form ,you can change the form to allow signature here: File>Info>Advanced form options >Digital Signatures .You can choose to sign the whole form or a field .
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/0ed54d57-d67d-41cd-bd1b-9e5a4be10d0c/use-of-digital-signature-in-sharepoint-2010?forum=sharepointcustomizationprevious
    Or you can use any tools such as the ADSS Connector for SharePoint which allows enterprise users to "click and sign" on a document in SharePoint.

  • Using Digital Signatures in a PDF File | Acrobat X | Adobe TV

    This video details how to use the new Sign & Certify panel for digital signatures, including the new Time Stamp Document tool, in Acrobat X Std. and Pro.

    I wanted to add a scanned pdf signature to a W-9 form, and I changed the preference in Security as you suggested, but the new icon in the top tool bar is grayed out, as are all the choices within the Sign & Certify drop down. I watched movies, and looked at forums, and no one has this grayed-out issue. I have been trying to figure this out for an hour, and everything I find is a dead end.

  • Support for using Digital Signatures

    I work in the legal department in a large company.  We are considering using Adobe's Digital Signature for our annual reports and financial documents.  However, I am unable to find how to get support on using such a feature.  Is using this feature pretty simple with Acrobat Pro v. 9?  I walked through the step-by-step features to initially set it up, but are there additional things I need to do to make sure the signature is completely secure? Do I need to purchase additional features or add-ons?  Is it possible to get someone to come to our company and provide a training on this feature?

    Using Acrobat Pro to digitally sign PDF documents is a very simple feature to use from an end user's perspective.  No extra plugins are required to have Acrobat generate a digital signature.  What you do need however is a digital certificate for each user, the certificate is used to create a user's digital signature.  Acrobat does not provide the ability to manage certificates, for this you require a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) from a company such as VeriSign or Entrust.  Here are Adobe's security partners:
    http://www.adobe.com/security/partners/index.html
    Are you looking to have end users sign documents?  Based on the types of documents you described, you may want to look into "Certifying" documents using Adobe's Certified Document Services.  You can get some more information here:

  • DOES WORKFLOW 2.6 INTEGRATE WITH OID & CAN IT USE DIGITAL SIGNATURES?

    We are currently implementing a standalone version of workflow 2.6 and would like to use digital signing along with it. Can it use OID for authentication and subsequently make use of signatures stored there?

    Hello Pranav:
    If your user infirmation is stored into 8i database tables you should be able to configure the Directory Integration tools built into OID 2.1.1.1 to migrate these users to OID. To get yourself up to OID 2.1.1.1 you must fisrt be at 2.1.1 which is bundled with Oracle 8.1.7 EE. Take a look at the Admin guide for 2.1.1.1. It has information about how to configure this.
    Thanks,

    Hi Mithun:
    I think I have run into a similar issue and have not been able to find a resolution.
    I have been trying to place three groupings of data and limit them to 15 rows; additional rows would print on a void check on a next page using the rtf template.
    Earnings .............. Pre-Tax Deductions .........Taxes
    <line 1 earnings> <line 1 pre-tax deductions> <line 1 tax dedcutions>
    <line 2 earnings> <line 2 pre-tax deductions> <line 2 tax dedcutions>
    <line 3 earnings> <line 3 pre-tax deductions>
    <line 4 earnings> <line 4 pre-tax deductions>
    <line 5 earnings>
    <line 6 earnings>
    The template works fine with these lists as nested tables until I add in the restriction and filler for the 15 rows for the first table. The data in the 2nd two lists does not appear once the limitation is added.
    Check Writer (XML)  - Issues with payroll check stub in rtf
    As an alternative, I have been thinking adding the remaining line totals (over 15 rows) and adding a 16th row. However I have been running into an error when trying to use the code for-each-group.
    *** XML-22056: exactly one of four group attributes must be present in xsl:for-each-group
    Can you send me your template to review? My email is: Karen.Lacey(AT)paetec(DOT)com
    Thanks!

  • Using Digital Signature method to connect to OIM

    Hi,
    I am using the following :
    ConfigurationClient.ComplexSetting config = ConfigurationClient.getComplexSettingByPath("Discovery.CoreServer");
    final Hashtable env = config.getAllSettings();
    tcSignatureMessage moSignature = tcCryptoUtil.sign("xelsysadm",
    "PrivateKey");
    tcUtilityFactory ioUtilityFactory = new tcUtilityFactory(env, moSignature);
    and it is giving following exception:
    com.thortech.xl.crypto.tcCryptoException: KeyStore File : .\config\xl.keystore missing.
    Where do i need to do the environment setting of the keystore file??

    above scenario can be dealt with....
    I have another situation.... I am trying to connect to an Oracle database in the java code ...for retrieving some values say from OIA(SRM) database using jdbc code... and I am fetching the database connection parameters (userid, password etc) from a custom Lookup defn in OIM.... Setting the password as clear text in the Lookup defn is again a not best practice (not secure)
    what can be done in this regard?

  • Digital Signatures - how to prevent anyone from using my name

    I've created a bunch of forms that have digital signatures enabled.  When I've created one either with the PKCS or the Windows Certificate, what's to prevent anyone else from just typing my name, email address and Company Name?  Yes, I can create one and save it with a password, but anyone can do that.  I'm confused how I can ask our users to use digital signatures on internal documents, then have them email to accounting or HR, yet there's nothing to prevent anyone from using anyone else's name (ie how can I prove that it wasn't me that signed it)?
    Is there nothing that's tied to Windows ie I can't use my login ID on our domain unless I use my network password?  That's really the ONLY way I can prove I'm me.

    Self-signed digital signatures are precisely that - the person creating them is the only one attesting to the contents, so you can make a perfectly-valid self-signed ID for Canta Claus of you want to. The critical thing to remember is that a self-signed ID will only validate if the recipient has your keyfile to compare it to. On your own machine it will show as valid because the key is present, but if you send the PDF to anyone else it will show as invalid unless you have separately transferred them a copy of your keyfile. It's that second file which tells them the ID is really yours, as they can physically check where it came from (e.g. by phoning you up). The recipient would then have to manually add the keyfile to the trusted list in Acrobat or Adobe Reader, and finally your PDF signature will get the green tick.
    Self-signed IDs are find for internal company workflows as everyone can share their keyfiles, and the IT department can manage what's going on. If you're using digital IDs in a public setting you should never use self-signed certificates, instead you should purchase an ID from a Certificate Authority - a company whose IDs are tied to the 'root certificates' embedded in Acrobat and Adobe Reader. The CA will require proof of identity before selling you the cert, and so anyone can verify it's genuine without needing to contact you. CAS-issued certs for signing PDF files are not cheap, there are several vendors out there and I won't comment on which may be better.

  • Adobe XI when i use signature option i try to use rectangle, it gives option of certificate signature, does not give me webcam or digital signature or any other option to sign

    when i use signature option i try to use rectangle, it gives option of certificate signature, does not give me webcam or digital signature or any other option to sign, have downgraded to Adobe X, no options show. Have upgraded back to XI no change. Free software I am using currently.

    There are two types of signatures in PDF: electronic signatures, which are just images (stamps, text, image) and digital signatures.
    If you want to use electronic signatures in Acrobat XI go to Fill&Sign->Place Signature. If a drag rectangle for the digital signature dialog comes up, you have selected digital signatures and Acrobat/Reader remembered it. Cancel it, go back to Fill&Sign->Place Signature and click a triangle to the left of "Place Signature". Then click on "Changed Saved Signature" and select the electronic signature type you want to use.
    If you want to use digital signatures you can create custom digital signature appearance. Go to Edit->Preferences->Signatures->Creation&Appearance->More. In the "Appearances" section click "New". You will be presented with the dialog that allows you to create a custom appearance. If you want to put there your picture or image of your ink signature, you need to prepare this image as a file beforehand, select "Image" radio button, browse to the location of your image file. In Reader you can use only PDF as your image file. In Acrobat you can use many more file formats: JPEG, PNG, etc.

  • How to Print Digital Signature in Smart forms.

    Hi Experts,
    Any one please help me how to use digital signatures in SMARTFORMS.?
    Which are the tables used to store digital signatures and please any one have any demo program which prints the the digital signature using smartforms kindly let me know.
    Thanks,
    Sunil kairam.

    Hi Sunil,
    After doing some research in sdn and other sources i found the following result...
    Digital Signatures are nothing but graphics that we can store in SAP and use in our Smart Forms.
    For Example you can create a .bmp file of your signatures, upload it via SE78, and then use it in your Smart Forms in your Footer Area as "Authorized Signatory".
    The Logic in the Print Program can be something as follows -
    1. Maintain a Z Table having fields like PLANT, FORMID (Name of the SmartForm), USERID.
    2. Before calling the Form, the validation is made for the Logged in User with the Z Table created.
    3. If the User Entry exists in the Z-Table, the Form is called and the Signature Image is displayed in the Footer Block i.e. the Authorized Signature.
    4. If user entry does not exist in the Z-Table then the message is displayed "You are not the Authorized for Printing the Form" and exits the Transaction.
