Using Dumplog to generate CVP server log

Hi everyone,
I want to generate logs in the cvp (7.0) server using the dumplog command,
can anyone advice me which process name to use, and the procedure.
Severin

Hi  Severin,
For setting the router trace do the below.
On the Router please click on Start -> run -> rtrtrace and then type the customer name and press the Connect Button.
select the components you want to do trace for.
Now use the dumplog utility to collect the logs on router.

  • Using Splunk to monitor Hyperion server logs live

Is anyone using Splunk or another third party software to monitor Hyperion server logs?
If so, do you have anything special in place to allow the files to be monitored 'live'?
When we attempt to look at the logs via Splunk, it appears the application is locking the current logs, preventing splunk from reading it live, until they are swapped out and new files started.
Any tips will be most appreciated.
    thanks,
    Insiyah.

    Which version of Hyperion?
Never heard about Splunk but from 11.1.2.1, Hyperion is integrated with Enterprise manager which can be used to monitor the log files, performance and many more things.

  • Sql server service crashes a few times yesterday, however, there is no .MDMP file generated in the log folder

    hi there:
I've experienced several sql server service crashes yesterday, service was brought up after a few secs as we have an autostart feature.
Today, I'd like to dig more into the errors and on the event viewer -> Application, I saw errors below
"Faulting application sqlservr.exe, version 2009.100.4302.0, time stamp 0x52f5d194, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6001.18538, time stamp 0x4cb73957, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x00000000000a7857, process id 0x15ec, application
    start time 0x01cfd7e72b2997d3.
People suggested to check dump file inside C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQL2008R2\MSSQL\Log
However, the lastest .mdmp file was  on April 11, 2014. Do I need to turn on some settings on sql server in order to have this dump file?
    Thanks
    Hui

  • Question About CVP Call Server Logs

    Hi Members,
    In the CallServer Logs i could see a [SIP_LEG_PRERTE_CORRID] - Publishing ,, [ICM_REQUEST_INSTRUCTION]
Could someone tellme what is the difference between [SIP_LEG] and  [SIP_LEG_PRERTE_CORRID]
In what are all the scenarios i would get [SIP_LEG_PRERTE_CORRID] this leg
    Regards,
    Senthil

    Hi Kris,
Thanks For your reply. Here is my Scenario.
    PSTN---->VoiceGateway---->CUSP---->CVP CallServer----->ICM---->Script(Just to Play Music).
Here in ICM i have a Dialed Number configured and Mapped to a Calltype and Calltype is Associated in the Script where i have a IF Node (condition Match the Dialed Number).
We have lot of TFN's configured and everything is working fine without any issue.
Now i have to add new DID's in my Setup. When i test the Call it is not hitting my START NODE on the Script itself.
I have attached my ICM Router Logs here. Please let me know if you have any suggestion.

  • CVP Call Server Logs

    Dear Members,
Could someone help me by providing any good document related to the "CVP CALLSERVER LOGS" and "CVP VXMLSERVER LOGS"
    Regards,
    Senthil.

I'll leave the Call Server log question alone for a bit, because you have a point.
But the CVP VXML activity logs could not be any more transparent.
When the logging is set to complete (the default), and all the modules turned on (again, the default), every element is tracked in detail, plus any of your custom logging that you add either in the elements or in your own Action Elements is recorded in the log.
The CVP VXML documentation describes exactly how the log file is layed out. The VXML engine buffers the logging for each call and writes it when the call terminates, keeping all the activities for one call together in a block.
What is it about these logs that you want to understand? It's extremely obvious.
The only thing that is annoying is that the default setting for the activity log rotation attribute is "by_size" with a ludicrous value of 100MB. It should be set to
The other little thing I'll complain about is somewhere between CVP 3 and CVP 7, they lost control over the comma-separated fields. These were exact in CVP 3, and you could import into SQL - in fact, a tool was provided. Along came the Reporting Option and bye-bye went the tool.
But there are some inconsistencies now with the number of comma-separated fields and I had to write a little Java pre-processor to pass my activity logs through, before upload into SQL Server. Annoying.
    Regards,
    Geoff

  • CVP call server logs - Hi All, I am trying to figure out whether caller party(End User) hangup the call first or UCCE Agent

    CVP call server logs
     Hi All,
I am trying to figure out whether caller party(End User) hangup the call first or UCCE Agent.
Attaching CVP call server Logs& UCCE TCD& Route Call Details for your reference.

From the CVP logs, it can be determined which side disconnected the call first. For each call, CVP keeps track each call leg. From Inbound Gateway to CVP is INBOUND leg, rest are OUTBOUND leg. You can then look at which leg the SIP BYE message is received first.
Since you have very basic log enabled, you will not see the exact SIP message. But it can be determined by the outcome of the message. Here is the snippet of the log during the disconnect:
    Line 3766: 3083689: 10.180.245.43: Sep 12 2014 12:21:11.293 -0700: %CVP_8_5_SIP-7-CALL:  {Thrd=DIALOG_CALLBACK.6} CALLGUID = CBCCDD8539E811E4A3E2CCEF48565980 LEGID = CC65CE04-39E811E4-87DFD7D1-64B198F2 - [INBOUND] DURATION (msecs) = 25610 - DIALOG TERMINATED. Reason: Q.850;cause=16
    Line 3768: 3083690: 10.180.245.43: Sep 12 2014 12:21:11.293 -0700: %CVP_8_5_SIP-7-CALL:  {Thrd=DIALOG_CALLBACK.6} Sending BUS MSG:>>HEADERS: (JMSType)=MsgBus:CALL_STATE_EVENT (JMSDestination)=Topic(CVP.SIP.CC.EVENT) (JMSTimestamp)=1410549671293 >>BODY: callguid=CBCCDD8539E811E4A3E2CCEF48565980 RouterCallKey=6472 RouterCallKeySent=true causecode=1 timezone=America/Los_Angeles RouterCallKeySequenceNumber=0 version=CVP_8_5 labeltype=1 RouterCallKeyDay=151099 calldate=Fri Sep 12 12:21:11 PDT 2014 label=190376 localOffset=-420 eventid=6 calllegid=CC65CE04-39E811E4-87DFD7D1-64B198F2  >>STATE: isTabular=false isWriteable=true cursor=-1
The first Termination message came on the INBOUND leg which is the PSTN. That means, PSTN side disconnected the call first.
    Hope this helps.

  • Very weird issue with server logging when using log4j.properties file

I'm using log4j logging. In log4j.properties the root logger is set up to use the ServerLoggingAppender class so that all our application logs go to the main server logfile. In addition, there are several appenders defined for specific components, with output going to specific per-component log files. Everything is going fine until I launch the server console. At this point all of those per-component log files get wiped out (zero length) and some non-ASCII lines are written to at least one of these files, after which the logs appear to be fine. The main server log file does not appear to be affected (because the root logger is set to "warn" level, while component-specific loggers are set to trace, the contents in these files is different; however I tried disabling all the other appenders and turning the root logger up to trace, and that still did not re-create the problem in the main server log file.
And here's the really weird part -- if I use the same configuration, but in a log4j.xml file, the problem does not happen.

    Figured it out.
We were passing in the configuration for log4j as -Dlog4j.configuration=file:/<properties file> and this was added to the command line for both the managed and admin servers. Problem is that the console app starts its own instance of log4j, and when it reads the configuration for the appenders it initializes or rolls over the files. At some point we have two JVMs accessing the same files, so some corruption is bound to happen.
I'm not clear why the .xml file made a difference, but earlier we had been passing the log4j configuration as a jar file placed in the domain/lib folder, so perhaps the designer reverted to that (placed the log4j.xml file in a jar in lib, and not simply changed the -Dlog4j.configuration=file:/ option.

Just trying out my new mac but email won't load, error says "The mail server denied access to the account because an administrator or other mail client was using it when Mail tried to log in. Try again later." A little lock is beside the email inbox account, no password prompted and account is online and enabled... Thoughts?

Have you tried clicking on the lock to see it it will then ask for a passwored.  Otherwise, try reblooting.

  • Weblogic server log files !! can i read them through HTTP using browser ?

    Hi,
I believe you can read log files using admin console. Go to Diagnostic--> logs and select the server which logs you want to see.

  • Using Caching Service when the Server Sleeps or Users have logged out?

When the Mac Mini Server logs out all users, the OS X Server 3 should still be running to my belief.  Thus the Caching Service of the OS X Server 3 should still be running.  However, in a number of cases, I found that the time taken for an app download after the first time uses the same time for download.  So, I guess the Caching Service is not performing at all when there is no Logged-in user.
I further wonder why there is a Sleep Button at the User Log-in Screen and no wonder that the Server will not be providing Services (e.g. Caching Service) when the Server is in Sleep Mode.  Will the Server 3 be providing Caching Service while the Mac Mini Server has enter Sleep mode and it's just my configuration problem?

Here is an explanation of how caching server works.
    http://nbalonso.com/os-x-server-caching/
    In summary:
Your server periodically talks to apple.  Compares notes.  Verifies it is authentic.  Gets a certificate from apple to prove it is authentic.
If your device asks for something (contacts apple), Apple says that you have a local caching server, and responds with the info telling your device to try your local server first.  (includes certificate info, so your device is confident the local server that responds is actually authorized to do so).
If that goes well, then fine.  If not, then you device falls back to getting the info from Apple's servers.
If your server is asleep, then this process won't work.  Your server is supposed to phone home to apple (hourly?) to keep proving it is authorized to server updates, and to update Aple's record that it is authorized to serve updates for your private network IP address.

  • OEM 12c using lots of DB Space and generating over 100Gbytes logs daily

We have upgraded to OEM12c, but we notice that
    1.     Tablespace Mgmt_tablespace is growing very rapidly about 5GBytes every week
    2.     and we are generating many achieve logs in my case 100 gbytes in every days
Is this normal and are there anything I can do to reduce the space usage?
Is anyone having this problem or is it just me
    Many thanks

Excessive archivelog generation on an EM12c repository database may mean you are hitting bug 14726136. Please see MOS note 1502370.1. I would suggest filing an SR with support to confirm whether or not you are experiencing this bug; they can help you with some additional analysis.

It seems that chunking is causing the issue. In the HTTP Transport Configuration Options of your business service, disable the setting "Use Chunked Streaming Mode"

  • Error when using Oracle Migration WorkBench (Sql Server 2k to Oracle 8i)

I'm trying to migrate a Sql Server 2k database to an Oracle 8i schema using OMWB. After using BCP to collect metadata information on the source database, I tried to capture the source data model and got a "Capture aborted" message on the progress screen (even though then it appears a dialog window reporting "0 errors and 0 warnings", funny!). Down there is the error log OMWB generated. After reading some posts, I changed some columns of the OMWB dictionary that holds the source database name, but still got the same error. If someone can enlighten me on this toppic, I'd greatly appreciated it.
