I'm trying to burn a lot of data.
toast titanium 5 returns a message of:
~ cannot detirmine the size of media
can anyone tell me how to burn 4gb of data onto a
dvd-r using dvdsp or toast [what version for os9?]
I've also tried to burn a mega cd with audio only files
using dvdsp.
difficult, but do-able.
1]all .aif's have to be re scrunched to 48khz
2]the dvd won't build, unless there is video file for each
..track. So I included a generic-black-screen-m2v of ..3.5 mins with each song aif.
audio and video, not of the same length is gonna cause problems with viewing, [white screen while audio finishes up]. amd the like.
open for suggestions.

in this example.
The same way locales are used in resource bundles to load, for example, labels in sewdish or english, without any intervention on the part of the application.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'all these'. DId you mean all these settings?
I actually went ahead and implemented the scheme I had suggested an it works fine, but thanks anyway.

As I said, the 10-fc12-045d error would not be due to the drive's being AFT, but more likely the discs are not being read properly. New discs can be obtained from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here

Can I set up my Mail account to use an out going SMTP server other than .me? I want to use my .me (iCloud) account for incoming mail but want another server for my out going mail. (The reason is a need to keep an existing From: address rather than be required to use "[email protected]".)

I think some networks restrict what smtp people use, I know that is true for my school. I think the answer this person is looking for is how is a quick way to choose the smtp. I think if the orinial poster selects new message, there is a littel black down arrow to the left of the subject line. If you press this down arrow and select customize, you could put a check box in the outgoing smtp field. Then you can select your out going mail server. But as for chaning your incoming mail server for all incoming email... well no... you can not determine what incoming email server you use for each account.
@rpeskin The Apple Mail program, does a good job or seperating email accounts. Look for a "show" button on the top menu (somewhere under the red close dot.)

or you can change your default email in the mail preferences.

files and features to insert InContext Editing editable and
repeating regions. These include files need to be uploaded to your
server, and your regions must be enabled for InContext Editing.
However, once your page(s) and site have been setup for
InContext Editing, you could potentially edit the original source
code of an html page in HomeSite. You would just want to be careful
that you don't accidentally edit/delete the InContext Editing
specific code - since you won't be able to re-add it in HomeSite.

How to use rtp to transmit data other than audio / video

hi all,
as you all know the jmf is based upon a specific paradigm:
data source -> player (processor) -> renderer.
i am not being very precise on this but that does not matter.
i want (for testing purposes) to create a tool that transmit some custom data
(maybe even nonsense) over the rtp packages.
so as you may now see this would not work quite right with the mentioned
paradigm since there would be no audio/video to play-process-render.
so how would i go about to utilise the rtp abilities of the jmf without adhering
to the whole player-whatever shebang.
what i have figured out is that there is a way to transmit custom rtp-payload.
there is even an example on the jmf solutions page but even this one uses
an audio format (pcm).
i hope what it is clear to the dear reader what i want to do and maybe some-
one can help me with this.
p.s. i am not one who wants to get the whole source code (like so many
others do on this forum) for a project someone may have done on this, what
i need is a hint in the right direction.

you to find out how to manage your problem.
If you have a look to the JMF 2.0 API, Guide,
"Understanding the JMF RTP API", Figure 8-2

you can notice that the processor is not essential.
In this pciture, the processor is inserted between two datasources,
to let you perform some operations on the media that is read from
a file or a capture device.
But the SessionManager just needs a DataSource.
With what you say, I can imagine that you want to transmit
real-time data that is not related to standard media formats.
In principle, the only think you must do is to extend the
javax.media.protocol.DataSource abstract class and implement
it at your own convenience.
Once your custom class is written, you can call the SessionManager's
method createSendStream(DataSource ds, int streamindex) passing
for argument an instance of your mentioned custom implementation.

Using Keychain Access for applications other than Safari

I am trying to decide what browser I want to use. There are several things to take into consideration - bookmarks kept in sync between the browers and passwords. So far I have stayed with Safari because it works with Keychain. I tried to open Keychain and add Firefox to a web form password but it doesnt appear to work. As for the bookmark issue, I downloaded "Bookdog" and it looks nice - the latest version is supposed to sync the bookmarks between the two browsers but I dont see a setting or option for that (emailed for support on that issue).
So, is there a way I can use Keychain for all of my browsers?

It wouldn't be the first time that an application crashes when a networkscanner is hammering on well known ports to find known problems. Also most of the time people are trying to bind there application on a well known port to bypass firewalls for example. So if you're going to do this, then please configure IPF for example to limit the amount of IPs that can access that port.

How to use custom calendar for scheduling other than owb's default calendar

Can anyone please tell me, is there any possibility of using a custom calendar in place of owb default calendar calendar during scheduling. Because, in my case, the month start date and end date are not 1st and 31st that changes according to the financial calendar that is defined.
I want to schedule mappings on month end date of financial calendar. How can this be done?

Hi,
The only possibility is to configure more than one schedule using the complex by month, by_ configuration. I don't know if this will work for you. Or you must use another job control system.
Can u just brief how to use it. Any other possible way of achieving my task?

Using an Exchange Rate Type other than 'M' in a Purchase Order

I use several exchange rate types in SAP for various currency positions, specificially with pricing.
As a result, when I create a Purchase Order I want to use a different Exchange Rate Type, instead of the standard 'M'. I have seen the rates can be placed directly in the Purchase Order, but I would like the system to look up the required rate using a specific exchange rate type.
Can anyone provide any suggestions or guidance based on prior experiences ?

How to make things other than text hyperlinks

I was looking to make a group of pictures link to some bookmarks but have so far failed. While making a simple box then filling the background with an image, then filling the box with space characters and then selecting the spaces to link to a bookmark, works in iBook Author,
it does not do so when I preview, or export to iTunes.
I'm using an iPad 3/new ipad. Any help in creating images that act as hyperlinks would be grand!
Also while some links work in landscape somehow the link gets messed up and no longer works in portrait orientation.
I miss the days where you could run over to your apple store and have your questions answered, I thought maybe a genius would help, but alas this a new age and they don't know s**t
In short, is the only way to link to bookmarks through simple text?

Use of FM 'SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT' in other than INITIALIZATION event

I am using function module SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT to restrict the select option ranges. My question is can we use this FM into another event such as AT SELECTION-SCREEN. Basically I want to restrict n grayed out Select Option High value and Ranges option on certain value of other paramter on selection screen. When I use this FM into event AT SELECTION-SCREEN it gives me exception 'TOO_LATE'.
Any idea how to use this or any other way to fullfll such requirement?

The FM SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT would only work in INITIALIZATION event. I don't came across other FM which we can call from another event. But, you to achieve your functionality, you can have a dummy type of select option with required restricted settings and make it active when required.

I'll try to explain the "Universal Adapter."
So Oracle BI Applications contains the presentation catolog (prebuilt reports and dashboards), the .rpd (prebuilt business logic), and the Informatica Repository (the ETL process).
The warehouse model stays fairly consistent regardless of the platform. The "ETL Process" runs through SDE (source depent extract), SIL (source independent), and PLP (post load) mappings.
By utilizing the "Universal Adapter/Container" you are still able to utilize the standard .rpd and presentation catalog.
Essentially the Universal Adapter is in place to allow a user to develop discover the data needed by the "SDE" mappings, while still utilizing the rest of the functionality provided with BI Applications. This can be an overwhelming task, and I do suggest you do fairly comprehensive analysis before you attempt to utilize Oracle BI Applications with the Universal Container.
Depending on the magnitude and scope of your deployment, you might be better off developing the ETL process on your own. However, there are instances where the universal adapter can be incredibly usefull.

Use printer other than default? how to hard code it?

Is it possible to make application to use specific printer but other than default? may be hard code it into application code?
For example I know the name of print service(the PATH to configured printer) and I want my application to use THAT printer most of the time. how can make it so that my application uses one printer which is other than default..
printDialog is not a good solutionin in my case I think because user might have 15 printers configured on his machine! and I do not want him to scroll PrintServices combobox looking for needed printer... why not show only 2 or printers out of 15?
or in my case I think it is even better to hard code couple of configured printers in an application code so that I user does not get tired of working with printDialog window every time he needs to print. When my application is released to client it will be used especially for printing porposes of one particular document so he does not need to see margins and printer settings everytime.

Basically the print dialog should offer this function without you having to code it. I don't know on Windows but on my Mac you can select printers other than default and get the computer to remember them.
