Using E-Commerce (ISA) B2B From CRM5.0 with CRM7

Hi all,
We've been running the E-Commerce B2B Java (ISA) from CRM 5.0 for many years. It is heavily customised.
We do not have the last SP that was released but are quite a bit behind that. This is essentially because upgrading the Java once it is customised is such a lot of work.
Now we want to upgrade our CRM to CRM 7 (probably EHP 2).
Is the old ISA (Java B2B from CRM 5.0) supported in CRM7, do the RFC's still exist, do the BAdI's (ISA Basket Head/Item etc) still exist?
1) Can we just direct our B2B shop to the new CRM 7 server once we're done with the upgrade?
Unless BAPI's/RFC's have had their signatures modified (or have been removed) I think that this should work.
2) Will this work but only if we have the latest Java SP?
Obviously we'd prefer to just point what we have at the new CRM7 machine, and be up and running, since updating the Java means reintegrating all of the modifications that we've made over the last 6 years and that would be a substantial amount of work.
Thanks for your time and help,
Patrick.

Hi Patrick,
Yes, we had huge customizations on almost all the JSPs you mention above as well as close to 300+ additional java classes and as well as many modified standard SAP java code. All these over many many years of development.
ISA7.32 is no different from ISA 5.0 technically except that it runs on JDK6. Functionally there are a few extra features like Loyalty Management.
The biggest hurdle we had was about the changed signature of methods of standard Java classes and some classes even deleted from packages in the newer version. Any custom java classes using these classes/methods had to be adjusted.
With similar/more enhancements to what you mention above, upgrading the entire codebase to the newer version took us around 60 days of effort including the fresh setup right from the SLD upto the new J2EE engine and doing the code conflict merge.
The approach we took was to take all JSPs from the 5.0 version and overwrite the 7.32 version (as it would not make much sense to rewrite them) and for the Java/XML files we did a compare and merge approach.
Regarding the backend RFC calls, most of them remain same in the order/basket area. I had noticed some changes in the contract items piece where there were now additional import/export parameter and some were even not optional forcing us to send some dummy values where necessary.
However, if you are using the variant configuration functionality in ISA you will be in surprise. The old ISA 5.0 IPC configuration will not work in 7.32. The newer version has something called as a decoupled mode (for performance reasons) and we had some challenges in that area to get the entire IPC working well. However if you use IPC only for the pricing bit, not much to worry as it remains mostly same.
PS: We were running a B2C scenario and not B2B. B2C is much more complicated.
Hope this helps.

Can I use an Adobe Professional license from 2008 with the current version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

With "license" you mean serial number?  If that serial number was for a different Acrobat version (e.g. 9), you cannot use it for the current version XI.
You can however use it to purchase an upgrade from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html

Anyone can see at a glance that you're raging mad, shouting at the top of your lungs and ignoring the terms of use you agreed to abide by in posting here, all because you haven't read the guide that came with your computer and you're trying to make it do something it can't. • Problem Sending Mail (using Mail 2.1.1) from Cafes with Wireless Internet

    Hi,
I have a Comcast.net mail account and Cable Internet at home. Receiving and sending mail works perfectly.
When I take my MacBook into any cafe that has wireless internet -- and I've tried this in multiple cities -- I can receive mail fine, but when I try to send mail I get an error. The error message doesn't seem to have anything of use in it -- just "Cannot send the message with server smtp.comcast.net."
When I then take the MacBook home, it instantly sends all the emails with no problem.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hello Ron.
    > I know that some ISP's require authentication when using their servers from outside their network.
It isn't your ISP that may require authentication with their SMTP server when connected to the internet via a different ISP, it is the ISP used for connecting to the internet if different from your own that dictates or may require this. If your ISP or the email account provider for the account does not support separate authentication with their SMTP server, trying to use authentication for the SMTP server will not work.
Is Comcast your ISP? If not, is your ISP's SMTP server authenticated and does your ISP support using or not using separate authentication with their SMTP server?
Time Warner (RoadRunner) is my ISP and RR does not have have an authenticated SMTP nor do they support it.

  • E-Commerce/ISA Scrollbars

    Hi experts,
We're using E-commerce/ISA for R/3 edition and I want to find a way to reduce all the scrolling that end users will have to do without changing a lot of the code and structure of the B2B online store.  We've embedded E-commerce into the SAP portal and have changed the top header bar not to display to save some vertical screen real estate.  Are there any options available other than screen size and resolution within E-Commerce/XCM anywhere?

We've embedded E-commerce into the SAP portal and have changed the top header bar not to display to save some vertical screen real estate.
You got to be careful if you are integrating E-Commerce with SAP Portal, just defining an URL iView is OK but not sufficient. To fully integrate to Portal use the following
[Note 1021959 - Portal settings for ISA iViews|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1021959]
As for the frame structure of the application, you can see the details of the frame design in this document [SAP E-Commerce 5.0 - Examples and Tutorials (Dev./Ext.) |http://service.sap.com/~sapdownload/011000358700006120622006E/ISA50_DevAndExtTuts_v1_0.PDF]
Put a good resource who can understand the JSP and CSS (stylesheets) and they should be able to do a  fair job. I use Firefox browser with the plug-in Firebug to quickly find the active style and the corresponding stylesheet.

    Hello,
We are using ISA B2B v4.0 with a credit card solution.
When the customer choose to pay via credit card, he/she selects a credit card type in a drop-down list. This list is not dependent on the sales organization or shop ID. How can I make the list sales org/shop id dependent?
    Best regards,

U can make it by coding in Java or Bring in a rfc fM from R3 and populate it to ISA

  • Table Header not Recurring - when Generate PDF from HTML with tables

Hello,  It is not working as expected...and I'm not sure if the functionality is supported.  Want to create PDF from html document. The html document contains a html table that typically contains a large number of rows.  To make reading easier the html table used thead and tbody elements, and their children, so that when the table extends across pages when printed the header element recurs on each page.  However, the header element is not recurring in the generated PDF document (it only occurs in the first row of the table).  Just wondering if you have tried or used this functionality (created PDF from html with table with headers and the PDF included the table with recurring table header.  And if so, did you do anything special to make it work.  Thanks for any insight.

If there's a problem with that package, I suggest you speak to the developer of that package and ask them to investigate.  It's not an Oracle supplied package so you are wrong to look for help here.

  • Calling New Function Module from JAVA ISA b2b

I need to call a new function module which accepts some parameters as input and
returns some result parameters back as output.
These returned value needs to be displayed on the JSP pages of ISA B2B applications.
Can someone please guide me and provide code snippet on how to do this?
    Thanks in advance.
Points will be awarded for all relevant and helpful answers.

    Stride,
I did this on CRM ISA 4.0...  I used the dev and extension guide as a basis - I think the ISA 5.0 guide has the examples and tutorials in a separate document that can also be downloaded from service.sap.com.
Here’s some info on how to do it although I can't guarantee this is the full solution or that it will work the same for ISA 5.0, and I will probably forget a lot of stuff as its been a few years since I did it!  I also can’t guarantee it is the correct way to do it – but it worked!  Basically, we built a link into the order overview page to display url’s to order tracking websites using an RFC on the backend CRM system.  Hope it helps anyway.
    1. Create RFC enabled function module in backend.
    2. Edit file backendobject-config.xml in folder project_root\b2b_z\WEB-INF\xcm\customer\modification:-

    5. I added the call to the function module for page orderstatusdetail.jsp in folder project_root\b2b_z\b2b\order to display a custom page Z_orderTracking.jsp in the same folder.  To do this I added a link into the HTML to call a JavaScript function that passed the current order number to the /b2b/Z_orderTracking.do actionhandler mapped in the config.xml file.
So, in summary!  Create an RFC; define business managers for it in the XML files; create a new Strut action and supporting Java class; create all the Java class’ for the managers.
I hope this makes some sense!

  • Regarding the Customer Setup for ISA B2B using SAP J2EE 6.4 and NWDS

    Hi
Does someone knows how we can setup a customer project using
    SAP J2EE 6.4 and NWDS.
I've tried to setup the project but facing a weird problem..
I've ISAWAC640SP11 and ant buildtool to build the application.
    I didn't get any "sda_build.xml" in this patch (ISAWAC640SP11).
    i've used "sda_build.xml" of ISAWAC40SP11.
I've build the application using build tool but when i try to deploy it
on SAP J2EE 6.4 using SDM i get a weird message stating
<b>"com.sap.sdm.util.sduread.IllFormattedSduFileException: The archive must be deployed with a 6.20 SDM, which has a SDM-SDA compatible version 1 or greater."</b>
Does anyone knows from where can i get the sda_build.xml file compatible with
    ISAWAC640SP11 ??
Also can some one suggest me to setup a customer project for extension and
modification of ISA B2B 640 on NWDS and SAP J2EE 6.4....
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
I am Rajesh..and it seems that you and I are facing the same problem. Well, I am really finding it hard to find material like PDF's files on Build Tool. and ISA Development and Extension Guide.
I would really appreaitate if you could send me some material. Well, My project is very simple and I have been given the task to first submit a simple demo of B2C on R/3 system. ( Not CRM ). I have also installed the NWDS and everything including the ISA WAC Java components. I am having real hard time in modifying them....
Can you please shed light on it...You can also email to me at [email protected]
Thanks in Advance for your kind consideration.
    Rajesh.

I've ISAWAC640SP11 and ant buildtool to build the application.
I've setup a customer project in NWDS.
I've build the application using build tool but when i try to deploy it

Does anyone know what is the exact proecess to build the application in
    SAP J2EE 6.4.
Do we have to use the ant build tool or we can directly build the app using NWDS
    default build process ?

i didn't read a lot of your 2nd paragraph, but it seems like the password is the issue, right?
    do a true clean install
reboot your machine and hold down command+option+r, you should see a spinning globe - if you don't see the globe or anything that reads internet recovery, shut down and try again
at menu, chose disk utility and once there, find your HD on the left side, select the physical name and erase it as mac journaled
    exit disk utlity
    at menu, choose install OSX
this time, when it asks for a password just hit continue, it will let you complete without a password
you should be able to get into your laptop, now figure out what password you'll be able to use with your kb issue

I have a late 2011 model MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion.  I love the AirPlay mirroring feature with Apple TV...BUT, how do I mirror with TVs that don't have Apple TV?  I used to run a cable from my mini display port to the HDMI input of a TV.  This feature seems to be lost in the Mountain Lion upgrade.  Did Apple feel that once Mountain Lion came out that EVERYONE would have Apple TV?  There are no settings in System Preferences/Display like there used to be...only for AirPlay Mirroring.

Running a cable to the HDMI port is still supported. (and still works on mine).
If the Arrangement tab in System Preferences > Displays isn't present then it doesn't recognize the physical connection.  Double check all cables.  If that doesn't work try a PRAM reset:

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!
    Thanks for the advice, Bee
