Using Earthlink web mail w/Firefox5 I cannot modify contents in a reply email - like getting rid of prior address contents, etc(I can using IE). What gives?
Often I want to delete portions of original email content (ex. Address block of sender, parts of the original email) as part of replying to or forwarding an email. I find I can still do this with IE but not with Firefox. The computer was recently "repaired" - removal of the virus "XP Security Center 2012." Could something have been changed at that time? That's when the update to 5.0 was made.
Step by step, how did you arrive at seeing this agreement?

Address Book NOT accepting csv.txt file as import from EARTHLINK web mail
Greetings. Unsuccessful thus far in importing e-addresses from Earthlink Web Mail to MAC Address Book. Found preferences and saved Earthlink addresses as csv.txt file but AB rejected as not true csv. Apple suggested conversion to V cards but could not find that option in Earthlink-ville. Perused Allan's post on synching with Total Access but fear accidentally installing stuff on my MACbook Pro from that application that is unneccessary or will screw up my new MAC world. Although in the long run, having Web mail back up my MAC makes sense. (Work and husband remain PC/ XP.)
Any solutions you can offer will be much appreciated.

When I try to buy something, I get an Apple-ID which is not the one I want to use, and I don't know how to get rid of it either, so that I can replace it with my ID in Mail, contacts etc. The ID I get without wanting it, I can't find anywhere. I have to delete it. How do I solve this problem, anyone?
My content was obtained through another ID, which popped up earlier. Now this one doesn't pop up, and my current ID doesn't pop up either, but another one. How do you find an ID which is not in the store, and not in Mail, contacts etc. either?

I have an iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1.3. When I go to the landscape view in Safari, the bookmark page appears and takes up one half of the screen. How can I get rid of the bookmark page so I can use the whole screen to what I am browsing?
OOPS! Too quick on the trigger to ask that question without trying anything. Sorry. Solved it by touching the bookmark icon.

I had an Apple ID which I used for iCloud. I upgraded the iCloud account and changed the apple ID to a @me address. Now I can't view what was in my original apple ID account. How can I get what was stored on the original account?

Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID? -
I have 0.44$ in my account, and I was trying to change the apple store, but I have to use the credit... However, all applications seem to be 0.99$ (the least) how can I get rid of this 0.44$ so I can change the store?

No cursor appears when I try to type a message to send from Earthlink Web mail
The cursor appears in the TO: line as well as the TOPIC line. The cursor does not appear when i left click on the send space. This occurs both with mu computer and my wife's computer using Fire Fox.

Ok, details of installation below, so when I try compose an email, I just get a compose window icon stuck in the windows
taskbar can't actually enlarge it and use it. If I restart in safe mode with all addons disabled, then it works fine. But
If I restart normally and manually disable addons/plugins, then close and start normally again i.e not safe mode, it
breaks, so does not seem to be an addon or plugin but rather something with the configuration.

I get the standard Firefox web page but also get a second web page advertisement for Flash Video Downloader. I use Flash Video Downloader already and my data use is limited monthly so I don't want this page coming up every time I get on the web browser. I've asked the Flash Video folks but they have no suggested solutions. It is not shown in options for home page and I can't find where it is being loaded from.

How to get rid of old addresses in Mail?
I run Mail on two machines ( system 10.3.9)
When I start typing in an address ( in a new message) the suggestions pop up with various names etc. Often some of the suggestions are old addresses that are no longer valid and are no longer in my Address Book.
I have deleted or changed addesses in the Address Book, but these old email addresses still seem to hide somewhere and it is quite annoying.
Not sure how rid of theses pests.
Any suggestions?

I anyone can offer any ideas I would be MOST appreciative.. The following seems like it should work, but alas, no. Not even after earning my dilegence points with the gods (many hours of testing and research) :-)
The following code snippet is intended to allow a Multipart object (otained earleir from an existing Mailbox folder/message), to be "edited" in some way... in this case just to append or prepend some text to the text body parts.
The message that I'm teseting with a mixed plaintext/html one, composed using Thunderbird, then opened by Javamail from its Draft folder.
The problem is, the changed text does not appear in the newly created and SMTP'd message... only the **original** contents appear.... it's as if BodyPart.setContent() is not working... or that I'm incorrectly calling Message.saveChanges()...
