Using Firefox on Windows 7, if I leave Firefox running but the computer not connected to the internet (while I leave the computer for a while), Firefox reconnects to the internet. How do I stop this?

If I leave my computer unattended, with Firefox running but the computer not connected to the internet (using a modem), Firefox (or the pages displayed on it) will reconnect with the internet. I have not allowed auto-reconnection. So how do I stop this?

First:
 (Apple menu) > System Preferences > Users & Groups > select your account > Login Items.
Determine if that program appears in that list. If it does, select it and then remove it from Login Items with the "–" (minus) button.
Next:
Select the entire line that follows (triple-click to select it), then control-click, and from the contextual menu that appears, select Services > Open:
/Library/StartupItems/
If the program or an alias to it appears in that folder, drag it to the Trash.
Next:
When you log out or shut down your Mac, de-select the checkbox that begins with the words "Reopen windows... "

When I'm on microsoft word and typing and get to the bottom of the page a new page doesn't just come up, i have to manually put it there so then when i go back and add stuff to the first page i loose whatever was at the bottom. how do i stop this?

It sounds like you have chosen a publishing template rather than a word processing template. There are two basic modes in MS Word: word processing and publishing layout. Word processing mode (and all word processing templates) have a continuous text box in the page for writing text. There is a setting in the System Preferences for this as well that may be causing it. Go to System Preferences>General>Restore windows when quitting and reopening apps - at the bottom of the window under Number of Recent items. Remove the checkmark from that setting.
Also - if you close all of your windows when you are done with Safari - it should open to your home page.

To change accounts on your Mac, go to System Preferences, sign out of the current account, then sign into the new account. When you sign out of the current account it will delete synced data from your Mac. Firefox keeps crashing upon starting, how do I stop this?

My PC crashed some days ago, after rebooting firefox was no longer working. It does start up, but doesn't allow me to do anything and after a few seconds it crashes and shows the error report, often this already happens the second I try to fire up firefox. I have tried rebooting my PC several times thinking this was the issue. After the problems continued I have uninstalled firefox, making sure no traces of firefox were left anywhere for old data to be around and it spiraling into the same error, I have tried installing an older version of firefox but it still crashes upon opening. It opens 2 tabs of which 1 will probably be the congratulations you have succesfully installed firefox and the other being the home page, however I can't confirm this as they don't load. The same goes for the TOR browser which works on a FF basis. I don't know what could fix the issue and hope for some answers that will solve the issue.

It looks like you may me having an issue from what I could intially see with an add-on or extension which is causing the crash. Restart FF in safe mode to see if this fixes the issue

Every time I open Firefox I get a new page with an ad for Walmart I can't seem to stop it from happening. It doesn't do this with any of my other browsers, however I prefer Firefox.. can you suggest how I can stop this from happening.

Some webpages resize the window but when the window opens in a new tab, the entire firefox browser is resized. How do I stop this from happening?

This usually happens when the window is resized in order to fit the smaller content/intention for a webpage.
I would like Firefox to ignore the window resizing (down sizing) commands when opening a window in a new tab and just display the window in full size.

Go into ''Tools > Options > Content'' and next to where it says ''Enable JavaScript'', click ''Advanced...''' and then untick ''Move or resize existing windows''.
This is the only way to do it. I believe there is a bug filed to prevent all sites (by default) from resizing the window if there are more tabs open, but I don't think it has been fixed.

When using Firefox music will start playing at random times, it only last 10 to 20 seconds then it quits. Then at random it will start playing while browsing or when at rest. this is very annoying and I need to figure how to turn this option off.
