Using Flash videos in Premiere

I would like to create a video in Flash, and then stick that video in between live video clips using Premiere. I don't feel like this is something out of the oridinary, but I'm not sure what settings I should use when exporting the Flash movie or the best settings to use whem importing that video into Premiere.
I don't have any pre-conceived ideas about how to do this, so I was wondering what other people woudl do if they wanted to do something like this. I am an open book.

  • Exporting flash videos to Premiere Pro

I use Flash for animating photos and then export the movie as .mov and import the same in Premiere Pro. The final rendered video file (.mp4) from Premiere Pro after editing has the images shaking. Why is it so?
For animations to be imported in Premiere Pro, what is the best format to be exported in Flash?
    Thanks,
    Bhanu

If you want to have the best quality and an up-to-date PC you should go for png-sequence.
Import that png as footage in Premiere and you should get a sharp result

    Hi,

  • Error message using Flash Video Converter

When trying to encode a simple mpeg file using Flash 8 Video
Converter I get an error message - as simple as that, no
explanation, just a "Encoding is not possible because an error

I've also tried importing the mpg onto Flash's stage and
going through the steps of the "Progressive download from a web
server" - again, nothing happened, just an error message.
    Any ideas, help, advice?
    Thanks, Raf.

Try to resample or another format.
Not all mpegs are compatible, they come with very large
    variety
of compressions for video and audio while flash has very
    particular
    range, specified in help files.

  • Use flash video coponent in flex?

    Hi
I want to use flash player video player feature. Please let me
    know how to do this.
I need use the class fl.video.VideoEvent but it is not flex
libary.do I have to build swc file, what is the steps to do this.
    Thanks
    Mk

    Hi Mk,
Emanuil Rusev has created an an easy to use, open source Flex
video player called FX Video. You can find the FX Video home page
    here:
    http://www.fxcomponents.com/?p=29
And the FX Video source here:
    http://www.fxcomponents.com/src/fxvideo_0.92/
    Thank you Emanuil!!!
Please take a look at the FX Video video player and see if it
provides the functionality that you need. If not, please post back
with detail on what further functionality you require.
    Regarding
    fl.video.VideoEvent,
Flex does have a similar event
    mx.events.VideoEvent
The Flex VideoEvent is related to the Flex UI control
    mx.controls.VideoDisplay.
VideoDisplay is pretty rudimentary. The FX Video video player cited
above uses both VideoDisplay and VideoEvent. If you are not
familiar with the Flex VideoDisplay control, you can find a
runnable example online in the Flex docs here:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/mx/controls/VideoDisplay.html#includeExamplesSumm ary
Please post back regarding whether the above answers your
question, and if you find it helpful :-)
    Best regards,
    g

  • Firefox crashes when using Flash video (and Chrome does too); having uninstalled Flash, it won't reinstall

Going to youtube crashes my browser; going to youtube with noscript on, and allowing the videos, does the same - as does using google talk's built-in video chat. I assumed something was wrong with Flash, but checking via about:crashes gives me nothing. I downloaded the flash uninstaller from adobe's website but now, when I try to get flash again, the program crashes. Maybe something's wrong with my PC, not with Firefox...but I simply have no idea.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== this morning I started up my computer after a supposed crash (although I suspect it was the Vista automatic updater/restarter cropping up while I was asleep). Skype's exe was corrupted and I had to reinstall; then FF wouldn't work with flash.

As it turns out, Skype also crashes if I try to use video - so I'm forced to confront the possibility that the problem is actually with my PC, or the updates windows has just installed.

  • Using Flash Video Encoder Programmatically

Is there a way to use the Flash encoder programmatically from
Action Script or command line? I am looking at developing a batch
process that compiles a list of files to be encoded into FLV for
    later consumption.

As far as I know about FFMPEG, it does not encode using on2
vp6, which is the superior codec for flv. I too am looking for a
programmatic way of transcoding to flash using the on2 vp6 codec.
on2 has the Flix Engine SDK, which is quite expensive, but it
allows you to programmatically transcode using vp6.
If there is another product out there that can do this (at a
non-expensive cost) I would love to hear about it.

  • .swf to .flv  using Flash 8 Video Encoder

I have brought a .swf file in to Flash 8 Video Encoder to
convert to a .flv file, after Queue is completed the .flv file
doubles in size. I tried changing the "key frame placement" and
"Date rate" to bring the file down but the .flv file doesn't go
down that much. So what am I missing? I want a .swf 8,166 KB to be
a .flv about half that size, is this possible? If so, am I using
    the wrong program?
    vicky

well that's the thing - the metadata never traces out if the
video was encoded with flash video encoder, but that code would
work fine with video encoded with sorenson squeeze.
think I have worked it out now though: in order to pause the
video at start I am calling NetStream.seek(0) when I receive
    "NetStream.play.start".
For some reason when I do this with flvs encoded using flash
video encoder, it stops the onMetaData event from firing - but
works fine with other flvs! weird... shall have to find another way
of pausing the video at the start I guess.
    thanks for the reply though

  • Flash Video Cue Points don't work

I used the template sample from Adobe named :Flash video

you don't need a cuepoint to detect the end of your video.  use:
    var lo:Object = {};
    lo.complete = function(eObj:Object):Void {
    next_btn._visible=true;
flv_pb.addEventListener("complete", lo);   // <- use the instance name of your flvpb component

  • Links to and from a Flash video?

(Sorry for the long post, trying to explain in detail what
    I'm looking for ...)
Maybe you guys can tell me if this is possible using the
current version of Flash (I will not be doing this myself, but I
need to know if Flash is the way to go).
    1) Embed several videos/audio files in an HTML page, with the
    usual playback controls.
    2) Place links or form elements (buttons) in the page *to*
those videos, allowing (via JavaScript/DOM) the user to
    a) play, pause and jump to a specific (SMPTE) position in a
    video.
    b) loop a section of the video (by giving two positions and a
    loop command)
    c) change audio volume.
(I know this is normally done with controls in the video
player, but I need interaction with the page.)
    3) Have links *from* the videos to the page/DOM - i.e., when
the video is running, JavaScript events should be sent to the page
to hide/load/update content - either automatically or user-driven
(by clicking on the embedded video at a certain time - if possible,
with hotspots so multiple options can be triggered; similar to a
    DVD menu).
I'd like to do the same with audio. So I am basically looking
for a mechanism to link to and from real-time content.
Beyond the "Yup, possible!" I expect to hear ;) I have
    another question regarding workflow.
The scenario for producing this stuff (e-learning)
    will/should be something like this:
    - Developer A builds a nice little audio/video player we can
embed in our pages. This will be used to show/play our content.
    - Person B records video and audio, does a little post
    production, delivers media/files (DV, MP3).
    - Person C batch-converts the videos to FLV format, but
doesn't (have to) do any creative work.
    - Person D with some HTML/JavaScript knowledge and a
stopwatch :) builds the page, embeds the player(s) and sets the
cues that will jump to certain positions. HTML pages, SWF, FLV and
MP3 files are uploaded to a plain-vanilla HTTP server.
Is this a realistic scenario? I.e., can we buy (or have
someone develop) a player so that no tinkering with Flash itself is
required anymore once we have established this workflow?
I would appreciate your comments. Also, if the above is
possible, I'd be grateful for links to showcase sites.
    Thank you.

    In theory - yup!
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_15683
Html pages can communicate to the flash file using
javascript. The fla page can communicate to the FLV file using
actionscript. So in theory you can send javascript commands to
flash from the html page, and then have that set off some
    actionscript to control the movie.
Can I be Person C? Sounds like easy money!
Good luck. Check out the forums at www.gotoandlearn.com -
that site has a lot of creative people with a very high knowledge
    of using Flash video.

  • Problem inserting Flash video into DW CS3 template

I would like to insert some flash video into an editable
region inside a DW CS3 template. The template I am using seems to
work for literally hundreds of other pages I have made (none of
which, incidentally, have any media of any kind in them).
I have created the template and then an editable region and
now want to insert the flash video in that editable region. All
goes well until I hit the OK button. then I get this error--Making
this change would require changing code that is locked by a
template or translator The change will be discarded.
Can anyone suggest how I might over come this error??
    Thx.
    Jane

The problem is the detection option in the video insertion
    dialog. If you
disable that option, you will not get the error.
This is a problem because the detection routine requires a
    modification to
the <body> tag (insertion of an onload event) which you
    cannot easily do in
    a template child page.
If you really must have the detection, then you can copy and
    past the load
call from a dummy (non-templated) page on which you have also
    done the same
insertion. Post back with that page's body tag code, and I'll
    show you
    how....

  • Allow embedded flash video to be maximised to fill the screen

I want the user to be able to click a Full Screen button like YouTube so that the video fills the whole screen.

    </div>
Any ideas how to fix this?

Flash is dead.  Nobody uses Flash video anymore; not even YouTube because mobile and tablet devices can't support it.  The trend now is to use HTML5 video which is supported by all modern web devices.  In addition, HTML5 video has default player and control bar which supports full screen mode (icon with 4 arrows).  So no 3rd party player is required.
To give you an example, copy & paste this code into a new, blank document.  SaveAs video_test.html and preview in browsers.
