Using free Edge fonts in Adobe Muse

Hi, my question concerns the use of free Edge Web fonts in Adobe Muse.
I'm Creative Cloud subsciber and have access to the portfolio plan, but I want to be sure that my customers websites will work in case I'll need to quit my subsciption.
Therefore I wanted to ask if the fonts currently shown in the Webfonts panel can be filtered to use just free Edge Webfonts, so that the fonts on my customer's websites won't have a problem once I should quit the subscription.

The Typekit fonts that you CAN use through Muse are free as part of your Muse subscription, and it shouldn't make any difference if you let your Muse subscription cease...those fonts on the site will still be rendered to viewers.
So, basically - Muse Tyepkit fonts are free to use and will remain free to view even after your subsciption lapses.

Problem using Gotham font in Adobe Muse

I am working on a web design project using Adobe Muse for my client who uses predominantly Gotham. They own most of the Gotham font family in .otf and they also have the Gotham SSm (Screen Smart Font) for web use. When trying to load the font to Adobe Muse as a self-hosted web font, Muse cannot load it because the following web fonts formats are missing: .woff, .eot and .svg. Muse also requires that the .ttf font is installed as as a system font. My client only has .otf font. Does this mean that we cannot use Gotham in Muse? Or is there a way around this?

As described in Adobe Muse Help | Typography, Muse can work with .otf fonts as system fonts. .woff/.eot fonts are, however, required for self-hosting.
Also. if your client has access to Gotham Screen Smart web fonts via a Cloud.Typography subscription, note that the Cloud.Typography terms of service do not allow you to serve web fonts in a self-hosted manner. They are are required to be served using their delivery agent via the CSS key mechanism. Cloud.typography Terms of Service | Hoefler & Co.

Am I allowed to use the web fonts included with Muse commercially?

For example, Lobster and Lobster two. Can I use these for my business's website?

The Web Fonts that are currently available via the Add Web Fonts dialog in Muse are available for use on any site with no limits on page views or any other limits.
Note the 400+ Web Fonts currently available via the Add Web Fonts UI in Muse is a small subset of all the fonts available via Typekit. At present Muse doesn't have a built-in mechanism to access and use the additional paid/metered fonts available through Typekit. (We're waiting for some work to be completed on the Typekit side of things before we'll be able to offer these additional fonts within Muse.)
The use of Typekit and the set of fonts available through Muse is covered by Adobe's general Terms of Use for services <http://www.adobe.com/misc/terms.html>, as linked to at the bottom of the Add Web Fonts dialog in Muse.

Disable every single web fonts in adobe muse and prevent it from loading open-sans:n3:all.js

I'm using Adobe Muse 2014.2 to build a Chinese site. The audience of the site is mainly people in mainland china, and I'm using a server from Hong Kong. Recently I just tested the site, however, it was loading extremely slow. In the end I found out that the cause of the slow loading was due to a file called "open-sans:n3:all.js" that was loaded from adobe webfonts.
Because a lot of sites are blocked in China, I think that Adobe Web Fonts (or typekit) is also blocked thus can't be loaded properly, causing the entire site to slow down.
Is there a way to disable all the webfonts in Muse and to prevent my site from loading this file?
Or is there a way I can host this file on my own server?

This was a snapshot that my friend in China sent to me. You can see that the open-sans:n3:all.js is taking extremely long to load.
Yet the funny thing is that I did not use any web fonts in my site. However Muse is still adding it in the code for some reason.

2. Other than Dreamweaver (which I have tried), what is Adobe's leading product for templated-based (no code required) Web design? (Please assume content which is mainly textual, with still images and hyperlinks to other Web sites. That is, there is minimum, in any, need, at initially, for video and animations.)

I think one of the challenges is which audience are you designing for. For example, Muse has some nice features and pretty good integration to Business Catalyst, bot no ability to modify the code at that level, so for me (and I have spent a few days using it) its too restricted and yet, also limited as design tool.
Currenly I am tetsing both Macaw and Reflow. There is a lot to like about both products, but the question is when does it stop being a productive web design tool with ability to display responsive web designs and when does it become a coding tool.
Now, with the release of the Open Developers Platforms we are using Business Catalyst. We are also using Foundation5 framework, so for us, I cannot see us using much of the CSS or HTML generated from either of these products right now, we see that code for presentation only until such times you fully support frameworks, SASS, JQuery etc.
Right now I, and I am sure many others, need a superb and efficient web and layout tool to build fully designed prototypes and demonstrate how the overall design should look in browsers and get sign-off, Photoshop is not it, muse is not it either, but gets closer on many fronts. But Reflow and Macaw are really exciting to me and have great possibilities. But I worry, because I see lots of people wanting more code, development and integration features, (and I understand why i really do) before the regular needs of the designer have even been fully addresses.
So for me( and I know I am being really selfish), first I would like Reflow to be better software at meeting the needs for visual web designers (who also understand HTMl/CSS), re-usable assets, layout elements, master templates that can be applied to pages, (muse is good here and its sitemap pages are nice) swatches, text styles (h1, H2, P, small etc) all that I can globally update per project.
What Photoshop is for bitmap image editing, I hope Reflow needs to be for visual web designers. Efficient, fast, productive and allows us to show the customer and web development teams, how this website should look and behave.

How to add Edge content to Adobe Muse? (I know that its been asked a lot)

Hello. I need a little help putting Edge content into my adobe muse website. I saved my file in edge and put all the content in a folder. The folder included edge_included and the other files generated. I then went to my muse site and inserted. I uploaded those files into a new folder on the root of my file manager on business catalyst and nammed it banner1.
I then inserted the following code into muse.

Banner.html was the only html file generated by edge so thats what I replaced "Project-Header-r1v1.html"
When I publish my site I get the error message "Page Not Found" where my Html content should be.
I was trying to put the html5 content in the presentation widget, and thought that it might be the problem, but it didnt work anywhere else on the site.
**The HTML5 content was just animated text used with TypeKit, Could this be the problem?
Any help would be apreciated, troubleshooting sucks! Thanks

From the error message "Page Not Found", it seems that you haven't given the path to "banner.html" correctly. You mentioned that you "uploaded those files to a new folder on the root..." - does that mean you put the html file and edge_included folder into a new folder in the webserver root? If yes, and if your page containing the <iframe> code is on root, you need to change the <iframe src="banner.html"... to <iframe src="folder_name/banner.html"...

Unable to sign and use In-browser Editing for Adobe Muse CC 2014?

I'm unable to sign in and use the in-browser editing feature for my Adobe Muse created website, http://foreseeson.com
which is not hosted on Adobe Business Catalyst, but hosted on a third-party (TUCOWS) hosting service provider.
When prompted to enter hosting credentials (which do work -- I've verified this by successfully using the Connect to FTP Host feature within Adobe Muse),
I'm given this message on the Adobe® Muse™ CC In-Browser Editing website:
"The FTP server configured for this site doesn't seem to match the URL you entered.
Make sure that you use the Upload to FTP Host feature in Muse to publish the site directly to the final location and that you are logging on to In-Browser Editing with the same user."
is anyone else having this problem?

I am also unable to access the Inbrowser editing page now for 3 days. It won't open up, either in my clients site https://inbrowserediting.adobe.com/login/www.edc.org.za or another client also: https://inbrowserediting.adobe.com/login/www.calgan.co.za or just as plain https://inbrowserediting.adobe.com
I have tried it in 3 different browsers: Firefox, Chrome and Safari and it won't open up the site.
This is becoming a big problem for me as clients need to update remotely.
I used to be able to access these sites a few weeks ago and have not changed anything since. I don't have any special characters in the password and my IP is not being blocked. I am able to connect with FTP with Muse and with Dreamweaver. The sites are enabled for Inbrowser Editing under properties.
Any help would be appreciated.

Using a web font (Coda), but Muse insists on rasterizing

I'm using a web font on my site (http://unit304musicvideoproduction.com/), so it should just show the web font. However, Muse insists on rasterizing it. I haven't done anything funky to it, and it even does it when I select Arial as the font, so I don't understand why it's doing this. Any help would be appreciated.

When you select the text frame (not the text within), does the font menu show Coda or it is blank? Blank indicates "mixed fonts", which could mean you have a lingering system font somewhere within the text frame. Please repeat this test for all states (default, rollover, mousedown, active). A system font in any state will force other states to be rasterized as well.

Using an icon font in Adobe Premiere Pro

Hello,
i want to use an icon font (e.g. Font Awesome) with Adobe Premiere Pro. I installed the font on my PC. If i copy an icon from the character map to the title creator, it does not get displayed.
If I do the same in Adobe Illustrator it works perfectly!
Is there a way to use icon fonts in Adobe Premiere Pro? If not, how can i create title fastest in anothere Adobe App and import this title to Adobe Premiere Pro?

I checked both fonts and they both have got an .ttf version installed on my PC. I found out that for example the "heart icon" works fine in both fonts and is exactly the icon from the fonts character map. This might be because this icon can be created by typing "Alt" and "Num 3".
The other icons still don't work. Might someone cross check the font (http://www.entypo.com/) with his own version of Premiere Pro? Maybe this helps.

How can I maintain the font used in Adobe Edge Animate for Adobe Muse website?

I used a png file which is working perfect and then used the font Montez in Edge Animate for 2 titles, however once I published the file(live) to muse it a totally different font. Is there something in particular I need to do in Animate to avoid alteration of font. Help!

The online editing works fine, changing text and swapping pictures is no problem.
Adding new content from your own computer works as well
But how is it possible for my client to delete some images from the gallery on the site using the in-browser editing?
Or for that matter add extra images to the gallery on the site?
Is it possible at all?

Almost thought we found the ultimate workaround!
It does accept a transparent png file, even better it does not even have the shadow effects the rest of the images have in the thumbnail container.
So it is practically invisible if it was not for the cursor changing in a pointer hand
So up to this point I was really excited. But when I tried the in-browser editing of this "invisible" thumbnail, it recognised the thumbnail but it would not let the thumbnail be edited.
Weird part though was that I could click the "invisible" thumbnail and edit the enlarged picture, but the thumbnail would still be invisible
What do you think, can you think up a workaround for that?

I used a trial version of Adobe Muse and worked on my new site, however travelled and the subscription expired. How can i get the work i did back???? i spent hours and hours on designing my page.

EXPIRED TRIAL....................trying to recover work created on MUSE TRIAL.... I will purchase the program however i want to recover work i created.

Any work you created and saved will be on your computer. Of course, if you don't purchase the program, you can't work on what you saved.

Friends, is there any way that I can use this font in Adobe Photoshop Directly. I do have a scan of the Title that I want to use as a Jpeg Image, but I want it as a Text.

that font file looks like it's corrupted. Not much you can do about it other than trying to download it from another location. (things like this happen from time to time with free fonts)
