Using Function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION

Hi folks,
        I am using the FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION, in my report. What values i need to pass for the import parameter RECORD. Without passing this parameter, its going to dump...Could any one suggest me how to pass this paramter..or if any sample code...

Hi,
In the parameter record, you have to populate and pass the structure of the infotype on which you want to update/insert the records.
for example, if you are using for IT2001,
declare
Data: data: p2001 type p2001.
suppose we have data in an internal table PA2001, the we have to pass it in a loop to this structure which we just declared.
loop at pa2001.
move-corresponding pa2001 TO p2001.
p2001-infty = '2001'.

Updating Infotype using function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION

Hi There ,
lets understand my problem related to updation of infotype .
I have a record maintained in my table within date range 01/04/2010 to 31/12/9999.
now i update my new tax rate from 1st June 2010 .
The requirement is i shall two records now :
First record from 01/04/2010 to 31st may 2010 shall be maintained .
hence we need to modify the existing record only changing the end date .
Second record will be a new record starting from 1st june , ending 31/12/9999.
Approach followed by me :
using HR_READ_INFOTYPE to read the data .
Then using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
---> ACTION : "MOD" to update existing record by passing end date as 31st may 2010 .
Then using action : INS to create a new record .
but this approach is failing since i am itself not able to modify the existing record .
Please let me know the correct way of updating the record .

It depends on infotype. Every infotype has a time link.
Sometimes you can have a record for a day or more than one. You can have continuous records or not.
I think your infotype has class 1 and it's continuous in time to the end (99991231)

Insert record in infotype 0581 using function module

Hello experts,
I am using function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION to insert a record in infotype 0581, but its giving exception CX_HRPA_INVALID_INFOTYPE. This infotype is time constraint 1.So how can i handle this.

Problem using function module for infotype 21

hi
im uploading the infotype 21 (family details) through function module hr_infotype_operations. i found that infotype 0106 (family/related person)
is a secondary infotype and that a record is created for 0106 ,everytime you create a record in 21. so i upload the family data of an employee using the function module for infotype 21 initially. and then fetch the same record from the table pa0106 and modify the same record with other information.
for example : u have the address details of a dependent(father subtype 11) in infotype 21. this address data is stored in the table pa0106 . im not able to modify the record for infotype 0106 using the function module 0106.
i would like to know the reason for the same. Is it because that infotype 0106 is a secondary infotype and u cannot modify the record using the fn module..?/

Issue with function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION in badi HRPAD00INFTY

Hello All,
I have a business scenario wherein, when user saves data for infotype 0002 from tcode PA30, i have create a new record for infotype 0105 by copying existing record and just changing the date.
For the same I am using funtion module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION inside badi HRPAD00INFTY method AFTER_INPUT.
When I am running the same function module in a independent program, its running fine. But when I run it inside the badi method, it runs with sy-subrc = 0 and no error, but later in the standard program MP000200,in pai module PRE_INPUT_CHECK, it tries to execute this statement MOVE <namst> TO <subty> and gives dump, with runtime error MOVE_TO_LIT_NOTALLOWED_NODATA and saying that "Error at assignment: Overwritten protected field.".
Have tried all the options of function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION, but nothing is helping.
Kindly let me know if any information on the same.

Have you checked what's in the Subtype field of table T777D for infotype 0002?
IF t777d-namst ne space. "QNOK025939
 MOVE <namst> TO <subty>.
ENDIF.
Usually this sentence won't be executed unless there is something in that field. Usually we don't have subtypes for IT0002.
Also make sure that the infotype that gives the dump is 0002 and not 0105.

while you execute the program , a selection screen appears in which the inputs should be give as
RFC destination - The target server name
FTP command- PUT
local file - your file name
local directory - path of your local file
remote file - your target file name
remote directory - where it has to be stored

Hi,
You can design your report and use Function module VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL for that.
You need to use Action type as 'S' for displaying and 'U' for maintaining the table.

hi. i used Function module to change Characteristic values of a sales order..
but sales order's Characteristic values didn't change.
And the Function module doesn't occur any log message.
please tell me wrong code, and how to solve this problem.

I'm trying to do INIT for Generic Extractor using Function module, but i'm getting error as "Error occurred in the source system"

Error in Data selection in R/3 Generic Extraction Using function Modules

Hi Friends,
I have created a a generic data source using function module to load data from PA0000 and PA0001 Tables ,Function module is working fine when i execute it indipendently and the data source is also working fine when i extract data using RSA3. it is showing correct no of records 157.
When loading data into DSO from BW (using 3.x/7.0 flows) data is comming to PSA all 157 records but in the RSMO the load status is showing yellow when i look into the step by step analysis it is
data selection successfully started
Data selection successfully ended
All Data packets completed.
are showing in red.
after and hour time load getting failed and in the error message it is showing " job terminated in source system---> Request set to red"
it is giving this message wir no RSM 78.

Error message when using function module HRIQ_TESTRESULTS_CREATE

Hi,
I need your help, I'm trying to use function module HRIQ_TESTRESULTS_CREATE to create external test results, I've used this function before without subscores, now I need to create subscores, but I get the message: "Grading scale UBID applies".
The test type EXAM_UB_ING has assigned the UBID academic scale, which has a range from 1 to 677. Test type EXAM_UB_ING has 3 subtests (grammar, listening and reading) which also have the UBID academic scale assigned.
I think this isn't a customizing problem because I can create test results with subscores using the PIQST00 transaction, the error message happens just when using the function module.

I just noticed. You are populating SUBTESTSCALE_ID in subtest result structure.That's the reason it's throwing this error. it is trying to match Scale ID from test with value in sub test result scale ID.
