Using functions GUI_DOWNLOAD/UPLOAD FM on HTMLGUI in EP
Hi,
I'd like to run GUI_UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD through EP-HTMLGUI.
but I cannnot execute programs which contain GUI_UPLOAD or ITS_UPLOAD function module on HTMLGUI now .
Our environment is NW7 with EP7 and ECC6. There is an ITS in the ECC6 system.
The pehonomenon is:
<Executing progmram which contain GUI_UPLOAD>
No reaction after 10 minutes and session time out.
<Executing progmram which contain ITS_UPLOAD>
Short dump occurred after several minutes raising exception "File Read
Error"
Could tell me the antidote to this phenomenon ?
I checked the same problem also happens when we run function GUI_UPLOAD directly from ITS session.I used URL is like belowing.

To upload the file , you can try a standard program "RSEPSFTP" .
while you execute the program , a selection screen appears in which the inputs should be give as
RFC destination - The target server name
FTP command- PUT
local file - your file name
local directory - path of your local file
remote file - your target file name
remote directory - where it has to be stored

Every time I try to upload a video to youtube or a pictures to a blog service, such as tumblr, I am unable to do so with the default uploading options (usually something that allows multiple uploads, etc). Instead, I can upload these media using their "basic upload" functions. Why and what can be done?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
The latest changes to the function to "Upload to FTP Host" has rendered this useless - no point using a program like Muse if I can not easily and automatically upload the work to the webserver! I use BlueHost webhosting that has a primary domain and I have several domains with that account (as sub-domains or folders on this server) - with past versions of Muse when uploading pages it simply opened an alert window to tell me (what I already know) that the website I was uploading does not point to the primary domain BUT NOW Muse tries to create a new separate folder in the root directory of the primary domain - completely ignoring the directory path I am giving it - useless! Why make these senseless changes to the program - and so often - very frustrating it is like amateur ware!.

There are some issues with the upload to ftp via Muse, which the engineering team is aware of and those will be fixed in a future build of Muse. At this point the work around would be to export the html from Muse and then upload via some third party ftp client like filezilla.

WS_UPLOAD is an obsolete function module. GUI_UPLOAD is the function module in replacement for that. Refer the following link for more details.

KD_GET_FILENAME_ON_F4 is used to locate file in a directory (on value request). It should be at the time of uploading data from local PC to internal table.
Insted u can use a simple file locator F4_FILENAME.
Even the i mentioned also a file locater.
I think u don't need to locate a file, u need to save the file with new file.
so u can use the standard function as follows:

Error while downloading output in excel format using FM Gui_download

While downloading the necessary output of a Ztransaction in excel format the excel file only shows one 1 record whereas in the output there were 88 records.
When I am downloading it in other formats like Rich text etc. the data is getting downloaded correctly as per the output.
Now this problem is occuring in Production & Quality whereas in Development the excel file is downloading data correctly.
I have compared the code in the different clients as well as debugged it but the code is the same in each case.
There is no data corruption in the final internal table as well.
So what else can be done?....
The data needs to be downloaded as it is in the output in the excel format.
Kindly give me some suggestion and help me out in this regard.

Hello masters, i develop a program that catches a pdf file and then we can download. in windows everything is working but the client uses Linux and SAP Gui For Linux and when is making download of file, systems throws message FES011 - Error calling Data Provider.
when i'm using windows the path is build correct way but i'm using Linux the path isn't build correct, for example like this, /home/rui/desktop\dir_1000.pdf . in debug i changed \ to / but systems throws the same error message.
Someone have some clue to solve this problem.

Soumyaprakash was right... just because Linux is case-sensative, the system was putting all letters of path in upper case
I just change in screen painter the field to accept upper/lower letters and now system mantain the letters has they come.

When i execute an Online program that use the function 'GUI_DOWNLOAD', then the program is running OK.
However When i execute the same program in background i get an unknown
error from the function 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' (return code 6 ) !
I wanted to know the reason for the error, and how to correct it ?

Any sort of communicatipn with the presentation server in background is not supported. GUI_DOWNLOAD is one such Function module which tries to communicate with the presentation server.
YOu can perhaps only download it to an application server and later move it to presentation server.
There is one work around for this, but its too tedious a solution, which works only on the system on which it is configured.

Error opening Word File in Upgraded System using FM gui_download.
Hi Everyone,
We are unable to open the .doc or .xls file when we download them on the local PC using gui_download.
The system has been recenlty upgraded from a 4.6 to ECC 6.0 system. Has anyone faced such an issue and can provide some inputs regarding how to proceed on such an issue.

Displaying header in excel horizontally using FM GUI_DOWNLOAD
Dear Experts,
I'm exporting my data to an excel file using GUI_DOWNLOAD. The problem is that I'm having problems with exporting the headings of my excel. I can export the heading but the problem is that it is displayed vertically and not horizontally.
Is there a way I could display the heading horizontally? Hope you could help me.
