Using .getXMLString() in JAVA code

I was trying to experiment in what XML output I would get from a query on a database of mine so in a JAVA program outside the database I tried:
OracleXMLQuery oxq = new OracleXMLQuery(conn, query);
oxq.setRowsetTag(row set");
oxq.setRowTag("row");
return oxq.getXMLString();
If oxq.getXMLString() is commented out it runs fine (but does nothing visable) but when is there I get a comolation error:
oxq.getXMLString(); gets error on compiling: Error(776,21): cannot access class org.w3c.dom.Node; file org\w3c\dom\Node.class not found
Why is this happening? Sorry if this a silly question

You shouldn't get this error and I can't reproduce this error. Can post a simple the test case?
Normally, we don't recommend you use query.getXMLString() in the return statement.
If you like to do so, please use the keepObjectOpen() like:
// Keep getXMLString() Object Open
qry.keepObjectOpen(true);
// get the XML document is the string format
String xmlString = qry.getXMLString();
//return xmlString;
return qry.getXMLString();
Or you will get errors like:
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<ERR>oracle.xml.sql.OracleXMLSQLException: This object has been closed. If you w

Not receiving correct results using to_timestamp and java code

Using Linux AS3 10.1.0
When I run the following query via ISQL, I receive results. Executing the same query via a java program returns no results. In the time range, if I change the 16:00:00 to 03:00:00, I get results VIA the JAVA CODE and ISQL. I am not receiving an error message in java or the database. If there is a problem with the java code, why do I get results when I change to 03:00:00?
Any comments / solutions are much appreciated!

1) Is it possible that your Java and iSQL sessions are running in different timezones for some reason (eg because of a login.sql, a login trigger or something similar run by one and not the other, which could have done something like:
ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE = '-8:00';
2) Are they TIMESTAMP, TIMESTAMP WITH TIMEZONE, or TIMESTAMP WITH LOCAL TIMEZONE? Given that you are only working down to seconds, would DATE datatype be simpler?
3) Check the TIME_STARTED values returned and make sure they are what you expect
4) double check that you really do have identical SQL in both cases, and that you haven't accidentally changed one of them

I am trying to find the class called "filterable"but not able to use in my java code and will get always
"java.lang.ClassCastException com.businessobjects.wp.om.OMDocument cannot be cast to com.businessobjects.rebean.wi.Filterable"
I am using the below java code like

FilterContainer flt=((Filterable) re).getFilter()
I am stuck and need this in uregent.

To retrieve a FilterContainer you will need to traverse the report structure:

     boFilterContainer = boReportContainer.getFilter();

Calling boDocumentInstance.getStructure() will retrieve the entire structure for the document.
Calling boReportStructure.getReportElement(0) will retrieve the structure for the first report of the document.

You cannot use java directly inside forms. You can either create a java-bean to enhance the GUI (as you have some UI-components in your java-code, i guess this would be the direction) or use the java-importer and call server-side-java. Both require that you are running forms in a web-version and not as client-server.
What exactly is your requirement?

Pass Map to Java Code

I want to pass a map using Xpress to java code and it seems to be getting error. The java code is suppose to make use of the input hash map, process it, create another hash map and return it back to the calling code. I am having trouble in passing the map created using xpress to the java code (i.e. no problem if i tried to do a similar process by inputing a string and getting a string back)

In return i will get a list of invalid cost centers which i need to display in a table with input field

How to use Java code signing certificate in oracle 11i

I am try to configure java code signing certificate in 11.5.10.2 application. we got java sign certificate from verisgin. SA's imported the certificate and created alias XXX_XXX with password and passphrase.
I am able to see the my certificate. keytool -list -v -keystore xxx_xxxx.jks -storepass Password.
how do I use it. I am using Enhance Jar Signing for EBS DOC ID 1591073.1.

I find out apps keystore keypassword and storepassword, I imported the java code sign certificate. I generated Jar files through adadmin, but I am getting warning error

A JSP is not the same as a Java application. A Java application has package statment, import statements, try/catch block, a JSP doesn't.
