Using gift cards bought in the USA outside of USA

I purchased an itunes gift card in the US, what would someone in the UK need to do in order to use them?

I have the same problem in reverse. I have a US account and just got 100 pounds which I can't do anything with. What a waste and such a huge dissapointment. This is one of those rare moments when Apple annoys me. Anyone want to trade gifts?

I got a Gift Card bought in The Netherlands, while my Apple ID is linked on the Belgian store. When I write down the code in the Belgian store, iTunes sends me to the NL-shop. When I write down the code in the NL-shop, I'm told that my Apple-ID is restricted to the Belgian Store...
Do I have to conclude that my gift card is worthless now? :-(

iTunes gift cards are only valid in their country of issue, so you will need to be in the Netherlands with a Dutch billing address to be able to use that card. Do you know anybody in the Netherlands that you could sell or give the card to ?

You would have to get a Canadian iTunes giftcard. But my guess is that they aren't sold outside of Canada. Unless you can locate online
