Using gmail on ff, e-mail links do not work. OK with chrome/cmonkey.

I am using ubuntu, firefox, gmail. In the past, E-mail links in E-mails worked just fine. Now, do not. Clicking an E-mail link in a gmail message using firefox opens a new tab and all is blank. Using chromium or seamonkey, clicking on an E-mail link opens a gmail popup in chromium, and a new gmail tab in seamonkey. Both work just fine in sending a message. I have used firfox for years, this is the first time I have had this problem.

This issue occurs if the site using custom masterpage or if you modify the default master page by adding some Javascript/Jquery without proper testing.You can refer the below url for similar issue.
You can drill down the issue by commenting the tags mentioned in the below url Or If that site was working fine earlier in Chrome and is suddenly stopped working then you can try to revert the master page to the previous version in any test site collection
and can test the same.If the previous version is working then you can compare the difference between the previous version of masterpage and current version.

Using gmail - multiple copies of mail being written are forwarded to the trash -did not have this issue with 10.6.8 -

I have two Imacs - the master one is plugged in directly into the modem, it runs with 10.6.8 and works fine (this computer is not connected to Icloud)- the other is connected to a router which is connected to the master unit and the modem. that unit was upgraded to 10.9.4 and it is connected to Icloud - both Imacs use gmail accounts for e-mail.
The "slave" unit running on 10.9.4 creates multiple copies of mail being written and sends those copies to the trash file. We have had up to fifty copies of one e-mail in the trash. That computer worked fine under OSX10.6.8 - We have visited the apple store genius bar with this Imac, and consulted the apple phone support service to no avail.
while it does take a long time to transmit the e-mails, addressees get only one copy. Your help will be appreciated.

9/16/14 update - another call to apple phone support revealed that this is a known issue that has no solution at this time.

Apple Mail links will not open in Firefox. The address bar and page are blank.

I have just upgraded Firefox to version 4.0 and when I receive an email with a link in it, the link will not work. Firefox will load but the page is blank and the web address bar will sometimes show the link and sometimes not. If I cut and paste the address from the email it will not work.

In mail.app preferences there is a setting for RSS that lets one choose which program is the default RSS reader. Whichever program is set to be the default RSS reader is used by mail.app to open any urls in mail messages.
I really like my Mac but this is the most un-userfriendly, un-"it just works" thing I've run across in the 23 years I've been using Macintosh...

Only when i go to a different browser (like IE) after i clear it , then all that shows up is the pages i visited in IE , that is what bugs me , why is IE browsing history sowing up in Firefox ??

the settings are gone, i guess. But even worse, I cannot get the iPad2 to play Full HD thru the Apple digital AV adaptor using apps that support (and advertise this), like AVPlayer HD. This definiteley used to work before one of the last iOS upgrades. (I am now at 5.1.1).

After updating to V 15.0 I have the issue that suddenly many but not all of the functions do not work anymore. Menues and download links do not work.

I have updated my firefox to version 15.0. After this I have the effect that at some unspecified time during use many of the functions stop working. Menu's do not open, download links do not work anymore and so on. Opening new tab's or windows still works. Links on pages partly work partly not. Copy and paste does not work anymore on webpages. It takes ending the firefox process and restarting to correct the issue until it happens again. I have those effects on totally different webpages. At this time it happens every time after I start Firefox but not right away. Firefox first works for some time and then it suddenly doesn't anymore without me having done anything special

I have not changed any of my preferences and they look like they are as I would have left them.
I tried resetting Firefox and deleting the preference file, no change.
By the way, I hate that the tabs are on top and not where they belong above the pages they are for. There should still be a way in Firefox to put them back without having to use an add-in.
