Using GPRS with ibook... bluetooth, USB, help?

Hi All,
I just got a new Ibook G4. I knew of course there was no PMCIA slot. But I need to get wireless (GPRS, non-wifi) internet access. Could someone explain to me how I do that thru blue tooth? Or, is there a good USB to PMCIA adapter out there that someone has used? THANKS

I am guessing you are talking about getting online with your mobile phone. It is rather slow, but you will be able to get things like weather reports and your emails. MacWorld has a pretty good article about getting online with a cell phone.

Kernel Panic when using Garageband with Blue Snowball USB mic

*I purchased Mac Pro recently about 3 weeks ago. I am on the latest updates including the recent firmware update. However whenever I use garageband with external USB mic(Blue Snowball) my Kernel Panics and OS freezes and forces me to Power On again. It happened 20 times so far in few hours.*
*I opened garageband first time today after bought this external mic from apple store. I did not use garageband without this mic plugged into USB, I only used garageband with MIC plugged in and in couple of minutes to 5 minutes of using garageband the Kernel Panic occurs. I've been getting a number of kernel panics when using USB Mics with Skype, though I have not experienced any crashes when using Garageband.
The crash report cited the AppleUSBAudio driver as the culprit. Here's the set up:

Can I use FaceTime with an aftermarket USB webcam?

I'm currently looking at getting a Mac mini and using an aftermarket DVI monitor that doesn't have a webcam. I'd still like to be able to use FaceTime with my Mac so I'm looking at an external USB webcam. I'm just wondering if this will work or if I must have an Apple iSight camera to make FaceTime work? I really don't know much about it as all my other FaceTime devices have built in webcams. If anyone has tried it with success please let me know.

Cannot get Bluetooth adapter on PC to sync with Ipod Touch Keep getting no driver installed message. Adapter works with other bluetooth devices, help please

I cannot get my iPod Touch to sunc with my Bluetooth adapter. The adapteer works with other BT devices. I received a message stating "no device driver installed" I am presuming the message is associated witht eh iPod. Any help or ideas appreciated.

Unpair the headset from the phone with the problem. Restart the phone (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears), the pair the headset again. Also, look for things nearby that may be causing interference in the Bluetooth band. Cordless phones are a common cause of interference.

File error for improperly inserted or defective desk when using Word with text boxes PLEASE HELP!

When I have a Word document opened that contains around 10 text boxes, I get..."A file error has occurred. Check your network connections or make sure the disk is properly inserted and not defective" causing the program to either quit automatically or freeze and require me to manually shut my computer down. This will occur about every 15 minutes and only when I am on a document with numerous text boxes. Also, I do copy and paste the text boxes from file to file and change the text accordingly.

I have turned off track changes and smart cut and paste options, checked for duplicate fonts (none), verified both the Macintosh HD and Apple HDD Media disks (both said the disks were fine so I did not repair either). My husband mentioned something about allocating the working memory space of Word but not sure how that is done (and he is on Team PC ). PLEASE HELP!!!

Not able to use webcam with 1.0 USB

Is there any way to use a webcam with only 1.O USB ports? I have the 1Gh emac which does not have the one 2.0 port and the "mac friendly" image webcam I have requires 2.0. I have seen on other discussions that it is not possible to upgrade this machine with a pci card. What is my solution to this. Are there other cameras that work on 1.0 with macs?

OSX does not support much other webcam's then the iSight.

Using iTunes with my bluetooth speaker

I use a bluetooth speaker when I travel and now if I change to another app on my MBP when I have music playing through iTunes the music goes choppy! If I then make iTunes the front application again the music then plays properly. I have tried various options of display with my apps but it makes no difference. Usually a restart clears this problem but it occurs frequently and I haven't yet nailed it down to a specific reason.
I could always use a cable, but this is not the point.

Problems Using iPhone with Audi Bluetooth Kit

I have several problems using the iPhone with the factory-installed bluetooth car kit that came with my '08 Audi A4.
(1) I can not download my contacts from the iPhone to the car's built-in phone book. Thus, I can't see the names of incoming callers, as there is no way to enter text into the car's phone book.
(2) I can not answer calls, or end calls, by pushing the correct button the on the steering wheel. So, after I initiate a call and finish the conversation, pushing the disconnect button has no effect. I have to push "end call" directly on the iPhone. When a call comes in, I can't answer by pushing the correct button on the wheel. I must answer call directly on the iPhone.
Anyone else having these problems? Any suggestions for fixing this?

firstly, we have an brand new A4, Audi have said they can pair some 3G phones and not pair some.
Apple have refused to acknowledge the problem, but have now said their is a new update out this month which should address any problems.
This would make sense as our friendly guy at audi said to me, the 3G phones he has paired and uploaded phone books for customers, he couldn't tell what version of the iphone3g they had, so if it was an earlier version it would pair, and the later versions won't.
also, there is now a 3G cable for the ipod connection via MMi, which works perfectly !
so while we can't get address books for now, it will come.
the other work around is, take an old nokia/ecricsson phone, sync it to your mac and upload your contacts, then pair to audi, hey presto you have your mac contacts on the audi.

Using correlation with asynch RFC - Please Help!

We have this scenario:
1) receive asynch messageA
2) transform messageA to messageB
3) send ASYNCH RFC messageB
4) receive RFC messageC
5) switch condition based on messageC
5-ok branch) send messageA
5-err branch) throw exception
We have only 3 containers, they are all abstract interfaces: messageA, messageB and messageC.
We need to correlate steps 3) and 4), to match the returning messageC with the corresponding sent messageB.
Is it ok to complete "Activate Correlation" in Send step 3) and only "Use Correlation" in Receive step 4), both with the same "name" ??
how do we correlate different message types? (messageB <> messageC) do we need to use a container to correlate?

You are right..u need to activate correlation step 3 and use it in step 4.
Correlation between diff msg types happens this way..
when you define a correlation...u've to defien the fields of the correlation, and the participating msg interfaces and how each msg interface populates/reads the correlation fields
eg.
Correlation Name: MatchPO
Definition:
PO_Number XSD simple Type xsd:string
Participating Interfaces:
MI_Purchase_Order
MI_Sales_Order
PO_Number = MI_Purchase_Order/Header/PONUM
PO_Number = MI_Sales_Order/Header/Sales/PONR
to define the correlation...u need to switch to correlation editor from process view in Integration Process editor

tasks are reminders, that are synced with your apple id. If they use your apple id - they should not have a problem. I suspect that your ownership of the list only allows them reading privileges on Outlook and hence does not sync to their apple id.
