Using graphics tablet with Ipad2

For those of us who would like a stylus experience with fine detail, from an artistic perspective, or much more accurate handwriting input -- does anyone know of a graphics tablet (that uses a fine detail stylus) that can be used as the input device for an iPad 2?  I imagine it would have to employ some kind of app to make it work.  Anybody gone down this trail yet??

Doesn't exist.

  • Use iPad as a 2nd monitor or graphics tablet with Photoshop/Wacom Bamboo Pen?

Can iPad be used as a 2nd monitor or graphics tablet with Photoshop/Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet?
I called Wacom as asked this question but the guy was clueless, and I'm sure they'd rather have you spend $1000 on their Cintiq instead of $29.95 on a Pen.... I figure I'll get more use out of an iPad and save around $400...
Or maybe this is jsut a far fetched idea...

    Hiya
I am not quite sure of how this product works, but it might be wortha try:

  • Can I use an i pad to work like a graphics tablet with Smartboard?

I want to use Notebook in Smartboard with a graphics tablet. It has occurred to me that the ipad may be able to do even better. I would need to see the notebook file on my screen, manipulate the items on the screen and then see them displayed simultaneous on the classroom equipment.
    Can this be done?

SMART Technologies continues to manfacture the SMART Slate model WS200.
SMART Technologies released the Bridgit for iPad app in May, 2011.  It enables an Apple iPad to join a SMART Bridgit conference.  Within the conference the Apple iPad can they be used to temporarily take control of any shared computer, just like other participants who are using desktop or laptap computers.  It can also temporarily take control of the comptuer which is connected to a SMART Board.

  • Using a tablet with Photoshop CC

I'm using Photoshop CC with a Wacom Intuos tablet.  I'm sort of inclined to think that the issue I'm having has more to do with a tablet setting than a Photoshop setting but I was using this same table with CS6 and I don't think I was having this problem but either way I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum who's used a wacom tablet with Photoshop so hopefully somebody can help.
With the paintbrush selected if you press and hold with the Wacom pen then brush options appear in a floating box.  Can I turn that off?  It's screwing me up because anytime I want to draw just a short line or spec it seems to bring the options up and doesn't draw my line.  I sometimes like to paint textures on whatever I'm working on by making several specs of various colour and layering them up, but those short specs are pretty much impossible cuz it doesn't seem to realize I want to paint unless the pen is moving a bigger distance.
Like I said, this seems like it's probably more of a Wacom issue than a Photoshop issue but I can't find any settings to change that seem like they would fix the problem.  Anybody out there know how I can fix that?
    Thanks!

I was having same problem using Photoshop cc and windows 8.1.
I first noticed when I was using clone tool. If I held down pen to start painting from clone source the dang circle appears with brush options.
Here's what I did to fix it.
Make sure your tablet is plugged in and working.
    Go to Windows Control Panel
    Select Hardware and Sound.
"Pen and Touch" should be listed, and select "Change Tablet Pen Settings".
A dialog opens. Look for the box that has the line inside that says "Press and Hold", and select that line.
Then press Settings button under box. This opens a new dialog box. At the top you need to UNCHECK "Enable Press and Hold for right-clicking". Hit OK, etc.
    That seemed to fix problem.
It seems under windows the default way pens work is that pressing and holding is equal to a right click. So unchecking that turns this off.
I also disabled "Flicks" as well in same dialog box and I thought it may affect how my pen works when drawing.

  • Using a Tablet with Infinity

    Hello Community,
At the ripe old age of 67 I am considering purchasing a tablet to complement my laptop at home.  I currently have BT Infinity Opt1 at home with black Hub3 I believe and would ask for help and information on the following.
I assume I will be able to use my tablet at home within a reasonable distance from the hub.  First out of the box, again, I presume the device will detect my hub's signal and link to it.  And lastly, will I be able to use it out-and-about away from the home hub.  I have heard the terminology "Hot Spots" but how do I know where they are and if I am near to one.
I hope I can link up with my original BT Broadband service with my tablet and not have to upgrade or find another provider to do the same job.
I do not have agreat understanding of these things and would ask for your help on this matter which would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You

    Welcome to this forum.
Yes, you can connect a tablet computer, there is a BT Guide here.

This only applies to Android tablets, which tend to be the most popular, as they are cheaper.
There are some useful help pages here, for BT Broadband customers only, on my personal website.

  • Graphic tablet with motion

I am still using mouse to work on motion, since one year i started to use it, is there a real benefit in using a graphic pad? anyone of you is using it?

I use a Wacom tablet all the time. Generally, I use the Wacom mouse, but when I need to draw, I use the pen...
Drawing with a mouse is like trying to draw with a bar of soap...

  • Is this the only tablet that can use iTunes? Or can you use Android Tablets with iTunes?

I'm looking into buying a tablet... But can i get my music from iTunes onto different tablets like the android 2.2...? Or just iPads? Can someone please help?! I'm going black friday shopping soon...!

Nope, I personally do not like android.
I find it to be annoying in a lot of little ways.
    I have used both a phone(galaxy s) and have a cheap tablet(archos 70).
The only reason to get an android device is if you can not live without being able to fiddle with 100's of different settings, widgets, screen animations, etc to totally customize the device or you cannot afford an iPad and will accept one of the cheaper tablets realizing you are getting a pretty poor substitute.
In the case of cheap tablet-Nook Color tablet is probably best choice. In another month or so xda will crack it and have some really good ROMs for it.

  • Using a Tablet with Logic 8

I was just given a Bamboo Pen and Touch and tried using it with Logic 8. Unfortunately they just don't seem to be communicating correctly and I've found that I can only move the cursor with the pen poorly and I cannot click on anything. Using fingers on the touch pad is similarly buggy. Any chance Anyone has experience with this and nows of an update or driver for this problem? Thanks

a bit unrelated i know. I'd wait to see what Apple announces later this month (rumored Touch/Tablet/giant iPhone). Something like that could potentially be an amazing controller for Logic and Final Cut.

Sure ,and I'd love to have one(which i probably do when it comes out LOL) but definitely is not gonna cost the same as the Bamboo or replace my mouse that's not currently working

Good point. I saw the price for Bamboo pen and touch. Very cheap. You got me thinking now.
Found a good price at Amazon...I'm thinking that probably it won't let me do what my imagination believes I could...Draw the automation with the pen for example...LOL but maybe it could be possible.... why I can draw in Photoshop or Adobe products and not in Logic hehe
I saw this on YouTube which got me thinking of finding a cheap touchscreen instead

Just watched it ,it's great..but most of the good quality touch-screen monitors available are very expensive considering that the Tablet will be soon for sale and ....I can imagine the app developers will make amazing apps especially for that .If you find a good deal though give us a shout

  • Using bluetooth keyboard with iPad2

1]Is there any way to tell battery usage on iPad as there is on Mac?
2] Since on/off lite goes off quickly, how do know whether  keyboard is on or off [except by touching key, which turns it on]?

sorry i guess im looking into buying a bluetooth keyboard and i assume that when you use a bluetooth keyboard with the ipad, depening on the manufactor of that keyboard, that the keyboard built in the ipad will pop up as well. so am i assuming wrong?

Hi iceman. See this Help doc for comments on Inkwell Apples' hand writing recognition software:

Apparently, if you device supports it you should see a System Preference pane labeled "Ink"
