Using half time or double time variation for kick and snare impossible

For the drummer track, I try to double the kick variation, and in the manual I read "Choose 1/2 or 2x at the right end of the Kick & Snare slider." I'd love to do this, but these texts dissappear when I do not select 7 or 8 in the variations. So my question is: how do I select these? I've tried a lot, but apparently not the right thing.

For 40Gig of iTunes its probably not worth keeping it on your TC unless your laptop disc is very small indeed.
I get a delay when clicking on things but there are two things to bear in mind;
1. If the TC disc has spun down though not being used, it will take 10 seconds + to spin up and come online and access the track for you.
2. The speed of access depends upon the wireless link speed(I assume you are wireless)
I am running 802.11n and music tracks play near instantly (apart from items 1 above) but my wireless link doesd run at neat 80 out of the 130 capacity of the link. Thats faster than 802.11g so what link speed are you actually running at to the TC ?
Click on the airport symbol while holding dow the key between the Aple and the Alt on the lowest line of the keyboard - it'll give you the link speed. I suspect its just that your wireless link is running pretty slowly in practice.

I am looking to have all my files in one place as i am hopelessly disorganised. I know the online clouds are a good solution (used Dropbox at work and uni for 3 years) however i am wanting to create my own 'dropbox/icloud' at home. So whenever i get back home with my laptop, any work i have been working on whilst out that day is updated to the timecapsule, and then ultimately as i turn on the other devices, they update to those newer versions of the files. Please tell me that the 3TB time capsule i have can do this, otherwise it feels rather overpriced as a wireless storage device?
Another note (to those in the know) If i am to be working on large files (REVIT/SOLIDWORKS/KEYSHOT/CREO/AUTOCAD) - is the timecapsule connection good enough to support editing and updating these files?
I know i may be asking a question that many have before, but as a bit of a technical novice I wanted a clear-cut answer to my specific circumstances. Your help is greatly appreciated.
(*can i use this WD hard-drive that is connected to the Time Capsule as a back up? so that the time machine back-ups/any back ups are also backed up onto this one? can the WD be a backup for the TC?)

The apps in the multitaskbar should appear like pages on the whole display. To close them, just swipe from the bottom to the top. you can select single apps for closing, when you swipe them like you would swipe your homescreens.

Ask Linksys. If you reset the extender it presumably lost the username and password it was supposed to service. I'd just supply the name and password and move on.

That's an account-level setting on the iPad. Presumably you use your cell number as your Facetime account credentials on your phone, and the iPad is linked to your account as well? You can go into the Facetime settings on the iPad and change what accounts can be reached on the iPad or used to make Facetime calls. Same goes for Messages.

Time Capsule best to dedicate for backup and usb external for other data or partition TC for dual

I have lots of video and photo and have 2TB drive on my iMAC and want to use TC for backup.
1) Since alot of video and photo, can plug in via ethernet or "cable/usb" vs. wireless to back up my main iMAC? Otherwise very slow via wireless and perhaps better to get Seagate Go Flex or WD and go Firewire right?
2) I do need and like to share other data shared vs. just TC to Time Machine Backup, reading this community input, can I confirm that best practice is to let TC have as much dedicated space as possible for Backup and mix partition to do 500GB per say for data on the TC?
Here's my use case:
1) Time Machine tied to TC for the 2TB via wired to main machine iMAC - I only have this 1 iMAC.
2) Like to share data with iPhone and iPAD some pictures, etc... so do this with USB port and see data on the shared drive via iPhone and iPAD - no need to backup - just viewing - but need wireless - how does iPhone and iPAD detect this device - do I need app or something to view shared drive stuff?
3) Like to share and light backup for couple PC Win7 laptops just to get files back and forth or share things between family member - nothing intense - but can PC win7 laptops see the shared drive via IP setup or something like that?
Sorry for multi questions - my first iMAC so still stumbling around to see what works best for me.

If I understand your question, depending on the signal strength, backing up over Wi-Fi can be rather slow. An Ethernet connection would be much faster, particularly for the first backup, which will the the largest. Backing up to a locally-connected disk will be faster still.

I'm not sure what you mean by "mix partition to do 500GB per say for data on the TC". It's not recommended to share the same volume for Time Machine output and other things.

If you mean that you need wireless to give an iPhone or iPad access to the Internet, a Time Capsule would do that. If you want to give those devices access to content on a Time Capsule, that's still an immature technology, although things may improve with iOS 5 or updates beyond that.

A WIn7 computer will be able to see files on the drive(s) of a Time Capsule. I haven't tried that, but instructions are available.

Time Capsule stuck at Preparing for Backup, and internet TC latency issue

I have an iMac that backs up to my 1TB Time Capsule. I have had it since March. Suddenly it stopped backing up. It get's stuck at "preparing for backup" and never actually completes a backup.
I am also experiencing a HUGE latency issue with my internet connection. I am constantly having to use the 'refresh' page button in Safari.

Consider these factors regarding an extended period of "Preparing...". Consider each topic separately and do not attempt to act on all of them at once.
*Recent Crash or Other Major System Event* (Deep Traversal)
The reasons for this process are described in an article by George Schreyer. “During the preparation step it checks the FSEvents log for consistency. If it determines that something isn't quite right it has to rescan the whole disk. This can take quite awhile. A full rescan is always triggered by a crash, an unplanned shut down event or by booting from some other bootable disk between backups…. After a crash, Time Machine must scan the whole disk to determine what it has to do because it cannot trust the information that it left behind. Connected via an Ethernet connection, this phase would typically take 20 minutes on an older PowerBook. According to the following KB article it can sometimes take a very long time if Time Machine begins this “deep traversal” and has to compare data inventories. This may apply to your situation, particularly if many Gigs of data are involved. (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1516)

Running anti-virus software can interfere with the backup process. Installing new software, upgrading existing software, or updating Mac OS X system software can create major changes in the structure of your Macs directories. Time Machine will backup every file that has changed since the installation.
If you take a look at the Console logs Time Machine may be reporting that your backups need "deep traversal". That's fine. Time Machine knows what is wrong and how to fix it. If you have a great deal of data, it may take quite awhile.
After an OS update (like 10.5.5) Time Machine realizes the system no longer matches what it looked like during the previous backup. So it has determined that it's earlier catalogue of what-should-be-where is 'untrustable'. So it is going to go item-by-item comparing the before and after of your system. If you have just performed an OS Update then Time Machine knows what it's doing - let it do it!
*Spotlight Keeps Indexing Backup Drive* #
It may be that Time Machine can’t proceed or complete a backup due to a Spotlight indexing error. During this period, take a look at the Spotlight icon in the upper right corner of your screen. Is there a tiny dot pulsating in the center of the spyglass? Click on the icon. Is there a progress bar displayed? Generally Spotlight indexing is a good thing. But at time it may hang and never progress, preventing backups from taking place.
Go to System Prefs --> Spotlight --> Privacy Tab.
Drag your Time Machine disk into the window. It should now be among the items to exclude from indexing.
Now quit System Prefs.
Reopen System Prefs and remove ("-") the Time Machine disk from the window.
This should clear out Spotlights cache. Naturally, Spotlight should begin indexing again (maybe even for a few hours depending on how much data there is), but it should eventually stop.
*Reboot Time Capsule* #
Stop the backup from the Time Machine menu.
When the Time Machine icon stops spinning, unplug the TC from the wall outlet.
Wait 10-15 seconds.
Re-plug it in again.
After it has restarted (30-60 seconds), attempt another backup.
Time Machine will report “Preparing…” again, but it shouldn’t be lasting more than a couple of hours.

1. delete data and refill the setuptables again by spliting to several small pieces.
2. compare the data. wht is the last Document numner in RSA3(Maximum one). Start from Maximum one. may be bit complex approch.
you need to check with PSA and base tables.
keep one thing in your mind you need to check againest MSEG and BSEG only. noy BKPF and MKPF.
correct if i'm wrong.
either refill or create a user exit to avoid duplicae records(you should have very good understanding of data, it will lead to inconsitent data for delta records).
User exit not a good solution. it's one possibility.

Are you trying to RUN or SAVE the download?
Make sure to choose SAVE.
Also, are you current on all your windows update packages?
And what is your internet connection - is it wireless, or wired?

Just updated 10.5 now has location service and others-IOS-ICLOUD etc. If I hit agree will there be charges I can't find a straight answer. Now I just use my 3 gen. IPOD touch for music and photos. Thanks to all. Tom

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

Zend Studio for Eclipse and Flex - Impossible?

I've been going in circles all day trying to get the Flex
plug-in to work in the Eclipse installation that installs with Zend
Studio for Eclipse.
The offshore dork for Zend said, "No now for plug-in for
Studio." So I guess that means I have to install Eclipse with Zend
Studio for Eclipse and then the Flex plug-in. But it appears the
Flex plug-in is baffled by the Eclipse 3.4 version that installs
with Zend Studio for Eclipse.
Many errors about please choose the correct folder etc. The
installation of the Flex 3.0 plug-in can be completed but fails
when trying to edit an mxml file with, "Could not open the editor:
Assertion failed."
There is a Flex updater to 3.0.1 which claims to support
Eclipse 3.4 but not for the plug-in as far as I could tell.
Attempting to use the Flex 3.0.1 updater on the Flex 3.0
plug-in installation in the Zend Studio for Eclipse directory
completely befuddles the installer.
Can anyone point me in some new directions for a solution?

Fbl1n and fbl5n display at time line item wise name for vendor and customer

Could you tell me how can I include Customer or Vendor names for each line items in transaction FBL5N and FBL1N, please? Customer Accounts are displayed well, but in several cases we also need the name of the certain Customer or Vendor account names. This would be important for consolidation of customer accounts of the same customers.
It is possible to include in these reports the u201EName1u201D, but they are empty in all cases. Could you tell me how it is possible to correct this problem, please?

See if you want to have the Vendor/ Customer name or number to be displayed when you execute it. I mean on the Vendor/Customer Line Item Display.
THEN follow the below steps........
After executing the FBL1N or FBL5N Click CTRL+F8 or Change Layout. From the Pop screen select the Vendor from the Right side of the screen and then drag to the Left side of the screen, then click on Copy as.
Then Save the Layout or CTRL F12, save the layout with the new name that you want.
When you want this Layout as the default each and every time then u have to do 1 more step....
After executing the same layout go the
MENU> Settings>Layout-->Administration...
there you select the layout that u have created and then set that layout as the Default settings Check mark on DS.
So that each and every time when u execute it the same layout will be displayed with the fields that u have selected....

Why is the time different on my iphone4 for messages and reminders to the actual time on my phone

I have had to set the time zone on my phone manually as it is wrong. so now that shows correctly. However when i set a reminder and get messages. They show up as a different time zone altogether. So my reminders are coming through 12 hours too late. How can I fix this? I have tried resetting the time manually and automatically.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then tap Settings > General > Date & Time
Switch: Set Automatically ON
No data is lost due to a reset.

Time machine suddenly says "none" for oldest and latest backups

I recently upgraded from OSX 10.6.8 to 10.8.3. Was also away for several weeks, so lots to back up at once. Says it's backing up, but hasn't registered any new backups since I've returned.

Yes. When you select a new drive, or re-select the same one, it doesn't look for the dates until the next backup completes normally. (On earlier versions, it would show a couple of dashes, but Apple "improved" it .)
