Please someone - I have been reading info until I can't see! Will someone please give me some step by step instructions as to how to set up a C6 using a SIP client? I've seen almost every phone discussed but the C series. Thanks
You are probably using the correct password. If you are using a shorter password than what is allowed you can suffer the problems of incompatible implementations of WEP. If you are using WEP you should be using 128 bit WEP. That is stronger than 64 bit WEP but not very strong. The maximum length password for 128 bit WEP is 13 ASCII (normal human) characters (which is 26 hexadecimal characters). If your WEP password is not that long, you should change the WEP password at the AirPort Express (AX) so that it is that long.

Wi-Fi calling is only available on T-Mobile. The setting can be found in Settings -> Phone, should you have T-Mobile. Otherwise, Wi-Fi calling is off.

Phone calls
To make and receive phone calls on your iPad or iPod touch, here's what you need:
Your iPhone and your iPad or iPod touch need to use iOS 8 or later.
Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Both devices must be signed in to FaceTime using the same Apple ID.
This means any iOS device that shares your Apple ID will get your phone calls. Look below for instructions on how to turn off iPhone cellular calls.
Wi-Fi Calling needs to be off.
You may also need to verify that iPhone Cellular Calls is turned on in Settings -> FaceTime.
Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone Cellular Calls on a device, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.

I have full signal and have wifi but I'm can't send messages or receive them. I can't make phone calls either. it picks and chooses when I can receive them and make calls. It only works everytime I turn my phone off.Try turning on Airplane mode for a little bit (20-30 seconds) and turn it back off. see if that doesn't allow you to re-connect.
In my current project my office receives no signal at all. I have to do this almost every time I leave the office in order to get a signal. -
Hi! I brought an iPhone 4 off my friend at work. The day I brought it, it was working fine but now I can't seem to send any messages or make phone calls. The network is showing up fine but each time I try to make a call it says "call failed" I can't seem to send any messages either? I can use the Internet fine and everything else on the phone. Can anyone help?

You can reset the phone and it won't cause any problems or cause you to lose any data - Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears.
The other thing you should do is to reset your network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to set up your Wifi again, but that oftentimes clears things up.

Want to make phone calls via bluetooth on my iPhone from iPad
I can link my Garmin GPS to my iPhone via Bluetooth and make or receive phone calls.
I would like an iPas app that provides the sametype functionality including:
Make calls
Receive calls
Look uphone numbers
Is this possible? Using what app?There are a couple of Apps out there that will allow you to use a Google Voice phone number to make and recieve calls via the iPad. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do. If you are trying to replicate the Garmin / iPhone setup I don't think that is possible.
Google Voice setup - gvconnect and talkatone. (wifi)
Skype - I think that you can make phone calls via Skype and Wifi.
I don't have a clue as if it is possible to make a phone call over 3G via the iPad.

Impossible to make phone calls... drop drop drop...
By now it's impossible to make phone calls because they drop every single time after about 3 seconds. My phone goes completely dead from the other side, they tell me. I love this phone for everything else, but shouldn't at least the phone function work?
My wife want me to return it and get a "good" phone...Have you checked for the proximity sensor issue? i.e., is the screen turning back on after you put the phone up to your head and you're possibly hanging up the phone by pressing the screen with your cheek? Not saying this is your problem but definitely worth checking as it's a well known issue with the iPhone 4 and is widely expected to be fixed with firmware 4.1 coming soon. (I hope!)
Easiest way to test it is to simply use the phone in speakerphone mode. If the call stays live then you've found your problem. Also, do you have a case on the phone to deal with the well documented antenna issue? That will kill a call as well if you're using a bare phone and touching the metal edges with your fingers.
I replaced my 3GS with a 4 and rest assured, if you have a case on it, the signal and call quality is fine. I know for a fact that my new iPhone 4 is working better at holding voice calls than my 3GS in areas where my 3GS was known to have signal problems. I have a case on my phone and I do have the proximity sensor issue but I watch for that so otherwise, I'm very happy with the phone.
If none of the above is an issue then you may simply have a defective phone and you should return it for a new one. Cheers!

I can't make phone calls anymore
hello everybody,
i've got one of the first iphone 5. and since yesterday i can't make phone calls anymore.
if i want to call someone, the other phone rings, but if he accepts the call there is just a very loud static rush noise. that was yesterday and this morning, now there is nothing besides sometimes a static rush. i can't hear anything and the other doesn't hear anything.
i've checked the microphone by using siri or voice recorder. there it works fine. everything is fine, just the phone calls don't work.
even if i try to make phone calls using bluetooth handsfree it doesn't work.
i resetter my phone completely and set it up as a new phone but still the same.
i just don't know what to do. i need my phone for 6 more weeks until iphone 6 is ready

greetings from germanyThe same thing is happening with my wife's iPhone 4 and we can't figure it out. When placing a call, the screen freezes and she needs to restart the entire phone.
She upgraded to 5.01 this morning over the air while it was plugged in. Immediately afterwards, this problem started happening. We've tried restarting the phone several times and plugged in to iTunes but there's nothing she can do do to fix it.

On a west Texas highway I believe my old 3G iphone could get data with 3 bars. My new 4S could make phone calls but not get data. An att guy told me it's because there aren't enough 4G towers yet. Other explanations?
Simple solution. Get a real internet service and not a cell phone internet connection service it was never meant to be used as the primary internet service
And how do you lose a home and job and be sued as you claim. What over 10 Gb of data? Give me a break

Yesterday I got my phone activated at the apple store and this also occurred and now that I'm home the same problem keeps occurring. I am not able to make phone calls or text messages. I can only use the Internet
Go back to the Apple Store and talk to them about it. You can most likely get it fixed by calling your carrier.

Siri's voice just says everything that i touch. The voice says the numbers i touch but the numbers dont show up on the screen so i cant make phone calls! what is going on??
It sounds as if you have Voiceover activated. You should be able to turn it off by triple tapping the Home button.

I just upgraded my iPhone4s to iOS7 and now I am unable to make phone calls and send/receive text messaes. Network signal indicator on the upper left side of the display shows hollow circles instead of full circles (but with the network provider name). I checked with my colleagues in the office who use the same network and theirs work just fine on iOS7. Any idea how to fix the problem?
I have also called my service provider and my service remains active in the network. I tried removing and reinserting my SIM but to no avail.

Test this by noting exactly where in your house that this takes place and also where it does NOT. Repeat until you have a "Map" of the good and bad spots.
You cannot do much about the cellular signal but may be able to troubleshoot the interference problem. This document talks about Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but the "Sources" might also apply to your cellular signal problem - radio waves are radio waves.

Problem - Can't make phone calls with my new Tour 9630
I just bought a new phone - Tour 9630. Its a brand new phone on Sprint.
Now I am in India using this phone on Vodafone and all the services are on, I can send and receive emails, texts, go to websites and download stuff BUT I cant make any calls from that phone.
Everytime I try making a call, it just disconnects after 2 seconds as if it was not registering anything.
What I tried:
Change the mobile connection to GSM only and hard reset the phone - DID NOT WORK
I tried calling service provider who mentioned all my services are working fine
I tried changing the sim card on the new phone - DID NOT WORK
I used my Vodafone sim in another - Works fine but not on the new phone.
I called blackberry support at vodafone - they say I might have to update the OS, which does not sound as music to my ears because this a new phone.
I rebooted the phone million times - DID NOT WORK
I wiped the phone and reinstalled everything - DID NOT WORK
Checked and changed all the setting and tried making calls - DID NOT WORK
Anything you could do to please help me so that I can make phone calls will be highly appreciated.My issue has been taken care of. It seems that Sprint has had an issue with the phone number prefix 238 in the 24151 zipcode. I ended up having to change my phone number and put my phone number under a new zipcode. It all works awesome again. Thanks.

Can't make phone calls with Siri
I can't make phone call through siri. I'm from Myanmar and local numbers can't be called. Whenever I call, siri said "sorry, I can't make phone calls using that number". I added my country code +95 but it didn't help. But when I call oversea numbers, it works just fine.

Also try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple lo comes up again. You will not lose any data doing this.
