Using hyperlinks in reports and suppressing the link

For reports 10g, I have successfully gotten the report to use a hyperlink on a field. However, since this link is opening another report, I need to have it hide the username and password. Is there some way to suppress this? It shows up in the mouseover - how do I prevent this?
FYI - my current Hyperlink statement:

You can create an entry in the cgicmd.dat file to hide the userid or other parameters.
For example, if the URL might be:
http://…/rwservlet?keyname
The key mapping file might contain:
KEYNAME: REPORT=myreport DEPTNO=%1 MYPARAM=%2 %* USERID=username/passw@dbid
PS: If you use SSO, there would not be any need to provide/hide the userid.

In Textedit, how do I copy a hyperlink url, but only copy the link location and not the link text?

Suppose I have a list of hyperlinked internet URL's. I want to extract their Internet addresses -- the link locations -- which are essentially hidden in the link text. Is there any way to select and copy the list of hyperlinks, but only copy the link locations, and not the link text?
For example, with the links:
The White House
Google
One of my previous posts
What I really want to copy are: "http://www.whitehouse.gov/", "http://www.google.com/", and "https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2737556".

I figured out how to do it. First, copy the hyperlinks onto a blank RTF document in TextEdit and save the file.
Second, open the file from within TextEdit, and make sure that the box "Ignore rich text commands" is checked in the open file dialog box. In the open document, the hyperlinks from my example in my first post will look like this:

Third, use the Automator function, "Get URLs From Text," to create a service, which I called "Get URLs From Text," that receives text from any window, gets the URLs, and copies the result to the clipboard:

Fifth, create a new TextEdit document, and paste the result.
The output is exactly what I wanted, the URLs -- i.e., the link locations -- of the three web pages, without the link text.

I purchased a used 2008 iMac. And although the previous owner said he deleted all of his information his iCloud account is still the primary. I don't have a clue about what to do about it. I signed him out and logged in with my info, but still no go.

Before buying a second-hand computer, you should have run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, whichever is applicable.
The first thing to do after buying the computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. Changes made by Apple over the years have made this seemingly straightforward task very complex.
How you go about it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
1. If you don't own another Mac
a. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
b. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
c. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
d. Some 2010-2011 models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you can't reinstall 10.6 even from the original media, and Internet Recovery will not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
2. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
3. Partition and install OS X
a. If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
b. Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
c. An unusual problem may arise if all the following conditions apply:
          OS X 10.7 or later was installed by the previous owner
          The startup volume was encrypted with FileVault
          You're booted in Recovery mode (that is, not from a 10.6 installation disc)
In that case, you won't be able to unlock the volume or partition the drive without the FileVault password. Ask for guidance or see this discussion.
d. After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
e. Run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
4. Other issues
a. If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
b. If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
c. When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like.

Aborting a report or suppress the whole report

Is there any way I can abort a report, or suppress the whole report, depending on some condition detected during processing? Preferably with a message, but that's not essential.
Several of my reports can only be run for the user launching the report, but I also want to allow 'proxies' to run the report - ie users who can run the report for one or more other users - and superusers who can run it for anyone. The reports are called from VB/NET but I have no control over the calling software except for parameters and the record selection text.
I have a simple 'proxy' table which defines both the proxies and the superusers. I can check this in a subreport but that fires after the main query, so I'm stymied. If I could abort or suppress the report at that stage, I could prevent unauthorised users accessing the report.
I could conditionally suppress all the sections, but this means putting a condition on each section, which would be a pain (these are complex reports, sometimes very complex, with subreports).
I could probably also use a SQL query but I'd rather avoid that complexity too.
I'm using CR10.
Any ideas?

As I indicated in my original post, I'm trying to find some relatively simple way to suppress most or all of the main report as a result of running a subreport.
I can't put the main report in a subreport because the main report already has subreports, in some cases 20 or more.
I could suppress the main report sections on the basis of a shared variable, but this is a messy solution in my mind.
I could bomb the report by forcing an error in the subreport (eg div by zero), but the result would be confusing for users. If I could define the error message this would be OK, but apparently that's not possible either.
It appears you may have answered the question, ie that there's not easy way to do this.

I can download FF ok and use for a day or so along with IE, but after that I start to get messages from Windows saying IE is not my default browser and do I want to make it the default. If I answer no, many links in my windows mail and other links in the windows system don't work...I get a message that the file can't be found . If I answer yes, the FF shortcuts disappear and can't bring up the FF from the FF folder, I get a msg that the FF folder is corrupt!

Hi, aparently we're a problem while you installed firefox. try to uninstall and reinstall firefox again,
after you do that, open firefox and go to Tools>options>Advanced>General, and see that it have to be an option at last that sez "always check to see if firefox is the default browser on startup" uncheck that option.,
Then go to IE, go to tools>internet options>programs>and clic on "Make Default".
With this you make that IE the default browser.

Try some basic troubleshooting.

i want to declare an internal table with fields from custom table.
if any field is aded in the custum table then that field also should get populated in the program.
Ex: custom table fields are
MANDT
BUKRS
MATNR
LIFNR

field2
field3
now suppose if a new field field4 is added in the Table
then the Program should automatically pick-up the fields from FIELD1...FIELD4.
i heard by using READ and INSERT report we can do it

If you're on 46C or above, you can use the following to generate tables dynamically.

But you are restricted to 32 calls, if I remember correctly. If you are in a later release, you can use the RTTS classes to create internal tables dynamically, without the restriction on subroutine pools.
These classes are CL_ABAP_TYPEDESCR and subclasses.

the % sign is often used when there's a space in a name. HTML doesn't like spaces so it fills them with % or %20
try, on the end of that link, see if there's a space built into the page or the link when the page was made
On the web address you may be able to 'backspace' at the end and erase that space to get the address, but whomever made the page possibly put a mistake in the link

You cannot schedule and email a Discoverer report using standard Discoverer scheduling. You have to use a third party scheduler and Discoverer Desktop running on a windows PC.

Both Web Intelligence and Desktop Intelligence comes with designers, where you have a GUI to design reports.
Web Intelligence you'd design in InfoView using the DHTML Report Panel or the applet-based Java Reporting Panel.
Desktop Intelligence you'd use the Desktop Intelligence client.
ReportEngine Java SDK (REBean) is what you'd use to programmatically create/modify Web Intelligence Documents.
Desktop Intelligence Reporter COM SDK is what you'd use to programmatically create/modify Desktop Intelligence Documents.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

The only way I can open a link in a new tab is if I right click a link and select "open in a new tab" in the dropdown menu, but ctrl + click is so much easier and faster. Any clue how to fix this?

Some other users have fingered the Ask toolbar as the cause of this problem. You can try disabling or removing it here:
