Using iCloud across two devices

We have 2 Apple devices - a Macbook pro and an iPad mini. My wife has made the macbook hers using her own apple id. The mini is mine and I used my apple id, different from hers. How can we use iCloud across both devices with different ids?

You would not be able to sync across two different iCloud accounts. Buy you can use her iCloud account to do everything iCloud data syncing and then use your Apple ID for purchases. Check out the article below for more information on what you can do for syncing purchases.

Hi!
I am a new user of Apple products and would like to use iCloud on two Windows PC's to upload Pictures and be able to see them on iPad. I manage to setup one computer and upload a few pictures for test and it worked, however when I setup computer number 2, nothing happens after I put the pictures on the required location to upload.
Please let me know if this is feasible and if is not, what do I need to do to enable computer number 2 as the one to use and disable using computer 1 (the one working so far)

You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account using your iCloud ID on your PC.

Numbers vs. iCloud across multiple devices?

I'm confused. I am a long time mobile me user and I consider my self a mac poweruser. I just made the switch to iCloud and my main purpose was to use Numbers across multiple devices. I have a MacPro, iPhone 4 and iPad 2, all running the lastest versions of iOS, Lion, and Numbers. I understand that the Mac version can't sync seamlessly like iCal or Contacts. I have to upload and download files with changes to work on them on the Mac. However, I can't see any of the files on my iOS devices or in my iWork page on my iCloud. If I make a file or make a change to a file in Numbers on an iOS device, shouldn't it upload that file to the cloud automatically? Shouldn't the iOS devices "see" the newly uploaded changes from my Mac? I got it to work once as a test right before Thanksgiving, but since then, nothing. I've made sure all the correct settings are turned on, however, still no communication to the iCloud.
Am I expecting too much? I'd really like to buy a MacBook Air to use Numbers at work, however, I can't justify the cost if none of these devices will talk to each other. What I really need is for my iPhone or iPad to have up to the minute versions of my Numbers files which will be mainly edited on a laptop or desktop. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Your understanding of how iWork document syncing works is correct.
Have you enabled document syncing on each of your iOS devices. (settings > iCloud, and setting > pages > iCloud etc etc)
If you still can't get it all syncing try turning off syncing on all your devices and then turning it on all of them again. (you might ant to save any documents already on your iOS devices to iTunes for safety before turning syncing off)

go to itunes preferences, store, uncheck automatic downloads. also when your phone is connected you can click on apps and only check the ones you want on your phone, go down to the bottom right and click apply.

Buy a retail Snow Leopard DVD. After installing that, you can upgrade to Lion if you wish.

Syncing with gmail and iCloud across 3 devices

I cannot get my devices to sync properly (MacBook, iPad mini, iPhone 5c). I use Gmail and iCloud, and it seems to muddy the waters. My contacts, for example, are a mess. As someone who is normally on top of the tech stuff, I feel confused and very frustrated. Is it time to get rid of Gmail? Do I need to wipe my data and start fresh? For some reason there just seem to be too many settings to get everything to work seamlessly. iCloud doesn't sync email; changing your iCloud settings won't effect your ability to sync email. Just set up the same Gmail account on all your devices. Unless you set it up as a POP account, it will stay in sync across your devices. (Only IMAP and Exchange accounts sync across your devices; POP email doesn't.)

If your daughter is using the same iCloud account as you, she can enable calendar, mail and contact syncing at anytime and not only see your data, but delete it or modify it too.
iTunes and iCloud are different accounts, you could have separate iCloud accounts but share a iTunes account, which is the account used for apps, music and other purchases.

It sounds like you are signed into a different iCloud account on the iPad mini, in my experience that would be the only cause. Be sure to double check what Apple ID you are signed into for iCloud, we'll want it to be your @me.com address.

When you setup your iOS device, by default the same Apple ID is used for iCloud services and store purchases (iTunes, App Store, iBookstore). However, if you want to use a separate Apple ID, you can set up the account you would like to use in Store Settings.

Using Icloud email on device.

Have an Ipone, Ipad and Imac. Set up my Iphone already and now going to do the others but was unclear if I use the same Icloud email as my phone or I use a new one for each device.

Unfortunately the free 5GB of storge is per account, not per device. However, iCloud will only back up your iOS devices, not your iMac. You may find that 5GB is sufficient if you are only backing up two iOS devices to the account. If not, you can always buy more.

I tried this out just now and you can't facetime a device using the same Apple ID.
So yes, you infact need another Apple ID for this. Not just another email address.

Using icloud mail - multiple devices

Hi there.
I'm using an iPad, Macbook Air and iPhone, all linked to the same icloud account.
All works perfectly except for one thing, when I delete mail on either the iPad/iPhone, they aren't deleted from the Mail program on the Macbook but are deleted on the other device. When a message is deleted from the Macbook, it is deleted from both iPad/iPhone.
A little niggle yes, but an annoying one!
Any help would be appreciated.
