Using iCloud - not synching ibooks

My iBooks are not synching from ipad to iphone 4s
Any suggestions?

Sorry. Not sure where those ampersands came from. Anyways, I found that in order to be able to sync your iCloud calendar to your mac osx lion calendar you must first open up prefs in iCal and go to accounts, then add new account. Here you will have the option to select "iCloud" account. Once you do, you will notice that you will have a duplicate of every event in your calendar. This is because it is displaying "your mac calendar" and "iCloud" calendar all at once. All you got to do is click on calendars on the top left (within iCal of course) and deselect all the "your mac calendars" leaving solely iCloud. This may just be a work around but it seems it's just (do i dare say it?) "by design"

What do I do to get Notes to synch to my Windows 7 Outlook.  Before I began synching my IPod and IPhone to my PC with the ICloud and synched by cable, the synching was fine.  There is no mention of notes on the ICloud control panel but the ICloud is selected on Outlook notes.

Make sure you don't have any notes that have no content or subject or this can prevent syncing with Outlook.  If you do, delete them.
If you don't, try unchecking "Mail,Contacts,Calendars & Tasks with Outlook" on the iCloud control panel for Windows, choose Delete at the prompt (the data will still be in iCloud), restart your PC, then go back and check this setting again.  (Your iCloud data will reappear in Outlook after a brief delay as it redownloads.)
Then create a new note on one of your iOS devices and see if it appears in the Notes folder in Outlook mail after a few minutes.

  • How can i use icloud to synch my itunes library with my samsung android phone?

I want to sync my iTunes Library. MP3 files with my Samsung Intercept Android smartphone. Unfortunately, my HP laptop does not recognize my device when connected via USB cable, or when trying to sync via wireless networking applications from the Android Marketplace.  Any solutions or links to best resources would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
My computer system hardware:                   HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC,
                                            Processor:                 Intel Duo-Core CPU T6400 @ 2.00 GHz
                                            Memory/RAM:        4 GB
Operating System:   Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2
                                                                                64 bit
Device to synch:    Samsung Intercept Android Smartphone
also using SansDisk 8 GB micro SD removable media card
Wireless Carrier:    Virgin Mobile USA (running on the Sprint Wireless Network)

So I have iTunes Accounts set up, iCloud enabled and iMatch rolling. Got my library matched (well, vast majority, like many others I do have some songs that have no reason to be 'inelligible' but are not uploading. Don't lecture me on the "rights". I'm a musician with 100s of songs in my library I wrote and recorded. iTunes uploaded about 80% of them. remaining 20% iMatch says are inelligible. BS. its a bug.)
Upon turning on iCloud on my iPhones, I lost the ability to tell iTunes which playlists I want on my iPhone. Instead, I am told to download "songs" from my cloud. Annoying as that's a lot of songs to wade through again. And I have cool smart lists created to auto-sync stuff to taste. Fine.
I go to my playlist and there are no songs at all on myiPhone, even after going to settings (good luck finding that tip!) and enabling viewing "all songs" so I can see the cloud. No songs in playlists. I see all the songs if I go to an artist on the cloud and download it again. Then, back to playlist and just those songs are there!!
There is one playlist that enabled me to "download all" from my phone. Rest don't. Why????
Why can't I dictate playlists via iTunes as before?? When you have over 20,000 songs in your library, playlists are really, really important. It will take hours for me to cherry pick through the cloud to find the songs I want on my phone. The songs I already groomed via the power of iTunes.
Good idea here with iCloud, please help with the usability!!!

  • ICloud not synching contacts

    My phone is a 4S 5.1.1
It does not show my contacts, specifically it shows as having no contacts, however there are contacts in iCloud. My calendars and notes sync. If I add a contact in the cloud it will not show on the phone and if I add a contact on the phone it will not show on the cloud.
I imported my contacts to another apple ID and synched that ID to my phone. Those contacts show up and changes made on either cloud or phone reflect with one another.
Can anyone help me with this- things I have tried that do not work - toggle on/off contacts, hard reset, reset via settings.

    Hi everybody,
For a few months now, I do go through the same kind of problems. Some of my contacts regurlarly dissapear from my lists without me erasing them! .... Even more, some of the entries into calendar do sync, other don't!
As ffunzo suggest, it might be a problem with apple products ... not the customers that we are. And remember that the customers already paid a price for Apple products that are supposed to work unlimited years! The more we feel statisfied, the more we'll keep buying those Apple products!
But, also, it might be possible that some other apps might create conflicts. I think, for example of "Pocket Lists". Since I started using that app, I noticed the problems ... ffunzo, are you using it, or other apps that are supposed to sync your data through different accounts ?

  • Problem numbers icloud not synching

    Hey guys,
I got a problem with my iCloud synchronisation:
It works perfectly between my iPhone and my iPad, but it doesn't work with my MacBook Pro.
All my numbers files are not updated on my mac, so I cannot work with them anymore.
That's a real problem, has anyone an idea how to make my icloud work on my Mac again?
I've already tried turn it off an on again, on Mac and on all my iOS tools. I've also tried to open the files from the Finder, but there my files are shown, but I can't open them, they are also not synchronised. All my software is updated.
    Thanks for your help!

  • ICloud not synching

I recently noticed that Syncing from calendar to my two iOS devices is no longer working. It might have been since I updated to Mavericks. Yes, although I don't like it, I have all the devices set to use iclown to sync the calendar. I also followed all the steps in Apple's document "iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar", for issues affecting iOS devices. After completing the last step, it still doesn't work. Any ideas?
(Please, other friends have already suggested buying a paper calendar and keeping it wiht me, but I am not ready to do that yet

        1.    First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
        2.    Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
        3.    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Should I turn off iTunes synch when I use iCloud to synch?

I have been using iTunes to sync my iPhone  contacts and calendar to Outlook on my old Windows PC.  Now I've replaced the PC with a MacBook and have turned on iCloud on both my iPhone and Mac.  When I sync with iTunes now, I notice some calendar events are getting duplicated.  Is the best practice to just stop using iTunes and let iCloud handle all synching?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
iTunes synching should have been turned off when you started iCloud. Yes turn it off for appropriate services to avoid duplication.

  • Sent mail using icloud not showing up on other machines

I sent a message using the mail application on my Macbook Pro with an icloud account. That sent message (at least I thought) would be showing up in my icloud sent messages folders on other computers. It is not. Should it, or will it only show up on the computer it was sent from? There are no error messages saying it did not send btw.
    Gary in Oregon

Are you using IMAP or POP?  Are you storing sent mail on the server?
Only if you're using IMAP and selecting to store sent mail on the server will you see the email on other devices.
My recommendation is to actually scrap using "sent mail" entirely and instead bcc: yourself on every message and file it where you want it.  There are many advantages to doing this.

  • Ical Sync using iCloud not Sync'oing with my iPad

  • ICloud not synching anymore.

This week I entered my scheduling on my macmini running 10.7. For some reason my iCal entries are not appearing on my iPad and iPhone4S. Tried my iCloud account also on my old 3GS. No new entries appear.

    I think I've got it!!
I have a BB Bold and am operating OSX 10.8.
After upgrading I lost all calendars on my BB. Today after putzing around I think I managed to resolve it.
The "Desktop Manager" was asking for a writable calendar and I finally figured out how to add one so my BB syncs again.
    1)     Disconnect your mac from the internet.
    2)     Calendar > Preferences > Accounts. Disable "iCloud" and any other Accounts.
    3)     Add a new Calendar from the Pulldown menu. It show's up as an "on my Mac" calendar. Name it something that doesn't match any existiong cals.
    4)     Go back and "Enable" iCloud and other accounts.
    5)     Re-connect to the internet.
This worked for me and my BB is synincing again.

  • TS3999 MS Outlook and iCloud not synching

I've updated a recurring event in MS Outlook, but iCloud won't update...even going to iCloud and making the change it doesn't update.
I've logged out of icloud, logged back in, tried updating again with negative results.

  • Sync icloud note with outlook 2010

    hi,
i can't sync my iphone note with my outlook 2010. It's possible sync note or only mail, contacts and calendar?
    Thanks

    Key points of this article:
    - To use iCloud Notes, your iCloud account must have an @icloud.com email address.
    - You can see your iCloud notes by expanding your iCloud account in the Outlook sidebar, then selecting the Notes folder for the account.

  • I am using the Good for Enterprise app to synch my outlook email and when I try to turn on ICloud to synch my music in ITunes I get a warning that I will not be able to synch my Iphone 4S with my computer.  Does this mean my office PC or home Mac?

I am using Good For Enterprise on my Iphone 4s to connect with my Office PC Outlook email system.  I am having trouble synching my Itunes music from my Mac at home with my IPhone 4s.  I am considering using ICloud to share the music as I also have an IPad2.  When I go to turn on the ICloud application, I get a message that alerts me to the fact I will no longer be able to synch with my computer.  Does that mean with my Office PC and my Outlook email, or my Mac and my home email and other applications?  I want to use the ICloud but don't want to screw up my Good for Enterprise application and connectivity with my Office PC and Outlook email.  What should I do to be able to update all my tunes and photos on my IPhone 4S and IPad2 from my Mac?

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.

  • How do I wirelessly synch my Notes using iCloud among iPad, iPhone 5S and Outlook 2013 running on Windows 8.1

How do I set up my devices to wirelessly synch my Notes using iCloud among iPad, iPhone 5S and Outlook 2013 running on Windows 8.1?

    Hey bwind,
You will want to first create an iCloud account, if you haven’t already:
Creating an iCloud account: Frequently Asked Questions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4436
Next, sign in to that iCloud account on your iPhone and iPad, and turn on the syncing for notes:

    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph3c79652c
    iCloud - iPad User Guide
    http://help.apple.com/ipad/7/#/iPad995bbafe
Then you will want to download the iCloud Control Panel for Windows:
iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1455
You will find your notes in their own section on Outlook:
    iCloud: Notes overview
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12081
On your Windows computer, your changes are pushed to Microsoft Outlook in the Notes folder of your iCloud email account. You can see your iCloud notes by expanding your iCloud email account in the Outlook folder pane (also called the navigation pane), then selecting the Notes folder in the email account.
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
