Using imessage on iphone and ipad

Hi I seem to have a problem using imessage. If a new message lands (fro unknown reasons) on my ipad mini, it does not appear in my iphone.
How can I have messages appear in all devices?

Assuming you use the same iCloud account for all devices, check the following on each device:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You can be reached at > enable the phone number and email addresses you use..

This did help but I had to play with it a little. I had previously turned face time off on her ipad. I had to turn it on and then go in and do Settings>FaceTime>iPhone cellular calls>OFF. Then I was able to turn face time back off and it kept the other settings that I had changed. Thank you!!!!!

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the other ID. When you delete the account it will prompt you about what to do with the iCloud data. If you need to migrate it and merge it with the data in the new account choose Keep on My iDevice; then choose Merge to upload the data and merge it with the new account. If your data is already in the other account and you don't need to migrate it to the other account, choose Delete from My iDevice.

How to sync iMessage on iphone and iPad?

I want to sync my iMessage between my iPhone and iPad. How do I do this?
Also, is there a way I can sync all of the conversations made on the iPad to the iPhone, but not sync conversations made on the iPhone to the iPad? I sometime share my iPad with my family and don't want anyone reading my conversations when i am on my iphone. But I am the only one who uses iMessage on the iPad so I won't have a problem With the conversations on the iPad being sent to my iPhone.

Receiving iMessages on iPhone and iPad

All of my messages used to go to both my iPhone and iPad. Now new incoming iMessages are only going to my iPhone. If I originate an iMessage on my iPad the reply will only go to my iPad. If someone originates a IMessage to me it will only go to my iPhone. I can't figure out what's happening. It used to work fine.

Imessage on iphone and ipad

Hi all,
I've got a question regarding imessage. I've used imessage on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 (wifi only) for a while. I received messages on both iPhone and iPad.
Since last week however, the imessage only goes to the iPad and not the iPhone. When I manually open the message center they are visible, but there is no notification of any sort (visual, sound).
I've tried logging out from apple id on imessage and ipad, but still have the problem.
The only thing that I can see that is different on both devices is that, when activating imessage again, on my iPad it said 'reveiving messages on phone number and email address' and iPhone it only said 'receiving on email adress'.
Looking at the settings, both devices are logged in via apple id.
the 'you are available' part both mentions my phone number and email address - however, on my iPhone, the phone number is grey. Both the email address and phone number on both devices are marked.
New conversations are, on both devices, started from my phone number.
So no difference in settings.
However, when someone sends me an imessage, the iPad plays a sound and displays the new message, while the iPhone stays silent. Very annoying since I only have my iPhone with me during the day and therefore missing messages.
Anyone any suggestions on solving this issue?

Used to be able get iMessages with iPhone and iPad. Cannot register # or email.

I used to be able to get iMessages using either my phone number or email address besides the me.com one. Now I can't and it won't verify them. I am not even given the choice to add my phone number as on my wife's phone. It keeps telling me I have to register my phone number and email addresses.
Then when I attempt to I am told I need to put in a "code" sent to me on the iPad but have no clue where to look for that code. Nothing shows up in Messages or an email.
HELP!! My wife's iPhone 6, bought and set up the same time, works fine.
Using Yosemite and iOS X latest versions of each. Verizon service.

How do I get my contacts to sync using iCloud for iPhone and iPad.

I can sync my pictures using icloud on my iPhone and my iPad however when I try to do the same for contacts having no luck. Also when I type a callander event on my iPad it comes up on my phone however when I type entry on iPad on calendar it does not come up on my phone.. Can anyone help.

Yes I agree with iamjeremie above. I am a newbie and had some trouble with this myself over last few days but now sorted.
You can also select existing cal entries, edit them and change calendar to correct one (iCloud cal in your case). Yes you need to set iCloud cal as default in settings. Also it may be worth disabling other unused or unwanted calendars in other accounts if you only want to use iCloud. Make sure to accept the prompt and save existing entries to device when disabling accounts so you do not loose or switch off your existing entries. Less confusing that way. Remember you can change entries to another cal in the future if you wish.
Keep it simple. I now have 2 calendars set up on iPhone and one on iPad.
Exchange cal for work. On exchange server at work and work stuff syncs with windows PC and server at work.
Hotmail cal for personal stuff that syncs with work iPhone, home PC and personal iPad.
I would have used iCloud for all but work iPhone and personal iPad are on separate iCloud accounts.
This was a work around and works great for me and enables me to enter synced personal cal entries on my work iPhone.

Cannot send or receive email from laptop or desktop using icloud. Iphone and ipad work fine.

My mail server on my laptop and on my desktop are basically useless. My ipad and iphone seem to be working fine.

The laptop seems to have been fixed by the fix listed. My desktop, however, still is unable to receive or send mail.

The server returned the error: Mail was unable to connect to server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” using SSL on port 587. Verify that this server supports SSL and that your account settings are correct.

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days and your iCloud back only remains on iCloud for 180 days. If you're looking for photos from last year I'm afraid they wouldn't be in iCloud at this point. Unless you have another backup on your computer or they are still on one of your other devices they're gone now.

My Macbook can't seem to find my wireless router even though it is in use by my iphone and ipad. I have tried to use diagnostics and it tells me that the router is not switched on, but it is on.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help I and the problem persists I would have a technician take a look at your iPad. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

ITunes with iPhone and iPad and Sprint 4G wireless?

Will iTunes let me have my books, music, apps etc on iPhone and the iPad at the same time or is it going to keep deleting one or the other?
Also, any reason the Wifi version would not work with a Sprint 4G wireless connection? That would be way faster than AT&T and I could use it for iPhone and iPad and Macbook at the same time.

Apple says the dock connector/USB cable they sell hooks up to cameras and other devices for transferring photos etc.
Connecting a device for sync to iTunes or to use the supported input devices like a camera is very different from connecting to a network. That function has never been made available via the SDK that I know of, though it's possible that it might be made so in the future.
If you had iWork files on a USB drive, you'd think that using the iPad's dock/USB connector would allow iPad iWorks to grab the iWorks files from the USB drive.
It doesn't do so on the iPhone or iPod touch - neither support connecting a USB storage device - so while we don't know about the iPad, I wouldn't place a wager on it, at least not at initial release.

Neither iPads nor iPhones sync to Apple TVs. They can however, stream to them. Is that what you mean? If so, yes, you can use both your iPhone and iPad with your ATV, though not at the same time.

Has Adobe and Apple had any meaningful discussions on Flash Player not working on iPhone and iPad?

Several applications I try to use on my iPhone and iPad says, "Apple restricts use of technologies required by products like Adobe Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates their restrictions, Adobe cannot provide Flas Player for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. It would be nice if Adobe and Apple would solve their issues so we can use Adobe Flash Player.

Yeah, it's probably not a driver thing. If you haven't rebooted already, definitely do that. It might just be that the graphics hardware is in a bad state.
The last thing we shipped was December 9th, so it's not like Flash Player changed. If these symptoms just started recently, it seems unlikely that a recent change to Flash is the root-cause. It's possible that Chrome might have pushed a change since then, but I talked to the Chrome guys yesterday and they didn't mention anything about a widespread video playback problem. They have really excellent telemetry, so they usually know pretty quickly when things break.
It might be that your Chrome install is somehow damaged, and you could do a complete uninstall/reinstall of Chrome to see if the issue goes away. You can also disable hardware acceleration in Chrome itself (it's under Preferences > Advanced > System > Use hardware acceleration if available) to see if that helps.
Is the issue isolated to a specific video or video site/sites? Does it happen in either Internet Explorer or Firefox (they're both significantly different copies of Flash Player, which would be an interesting data point)?
