Using imessage with multiple Ipod4g (Family), with only 1 apple id?

I have 2 kids that will get Ipod touch's 4g ios 5 for Christmas, I have iphone 3gs upgraded with ios 5; can we text each other in imessage with 1 apple id account?
how would i set them up?

After you set up all the devices, including Messeges, with the one Apple ID, on the iPods, go to Settings>Messages>Receive at and add a different email messaging address to eachiPOd and remove the Apple ID Messaging address,

Look into using Apple Configurator. It's the easiest way to "reimage" and Manage iPads that I know of right now.

Can't use iMessage on my mac air with certain phone numbers

I've seen other postings about this topic but haven't found any resolution. I am able to use imessage for certain contacts/phone numbers from my mac air but others I can't seem to get to work. The message is -- Your message could not be sent -- xxx-xxx-xxxx is not registered with imessage. I am able to contact these numbers from my iphone but not from imessage on my Air.
If anyone has a solution please let me know.

Then they're probably not iPhone numbers. If your messages to those numbers are appearing in green on your phone, they're non-iPhone numbers and you can only communicate with them through regular SMS texting. Your Air cannot text in this way.

Whenever I try to use iMessage, it says message failed. Im not sure if it's because I only have the iPad 2 with wifi, not the 3G? Anyone help?!?!?!?!???

The recipient of any iMessage you send has to have an iPhone, iPad, iPod.

Can i use iMessage without an iPhone but with a mac?

The answer is yes and no.
As Barney-15E link says you can get the Messages app to SMS to AIM Buddies. Or rather telephone Numbers as AIM Buddies.
There are limits.
The computer has to be set as if in the United States (System Preferences > Language and Text > Region)
The phone is question has to be on a carrier that supports AIM SMS forwarding which only applies to some US based carriers.
The reason the SMS Messages arriving on the iPhone do not sync is that they are not iMessages (the "No" Part).
I use Messages with the Buddy List Showing.
As a test I have added a made up number as a Buddy and also created a Address Card for it.
So Mousing over the "Buddy" reveal the "Screen Name" which is the phone Number
You have to include the Leading +1 country code as well.

How to Configure iCloud with multiple iCloud accounts and one apple id

I need some help from the icloud experts. I almost have my arms around this, but not completely.
What I want to end up with is the following:
One account that both my wife and I use for shared contacts, calendars, photostream and find my device.
Separate account for my email among several devices.
Separate account for my wife for her email among several devices.
Now what I curently have is an apple id (*.mac.com), which is the main account used for purchases, etc. It has my mail, backups, and 25GB of space as a result from MobileMe.
I created a separate icloud account for my wife, using her Apple ID, so that her mail stayed separate from mine. However, now we have separate photo streams, contacts, etc, which is getting confusing and cumbersome.
I would like to keep my apple id as the main account since it already has the 25GB of space. So tell me if the following make sense.
I setup the master account using my apple id (the one with 25GB of space) for both of us, and enable the contacts and calendar syncing for all of our devices.
I turn the mail and Safari bookmarks syncing on for my devices; but turn it off for my wife's devices.
Then I use my wife's account on her devices to sync her mail, bookmarks, etc.
Would this work or is there another combination to use? Ideally a family oriented apple id would be good for the master account, but it wouldn't have the 25GB of space unless I purchased it. I'm trying to get around that if possible. I have tried to find something like this on the discussion boards but haven't had luck yet.

Set up your mac.com account again on devices. Turn off Mail and other data syncing with this account on your wife's devices for data that you want to keep separate. Then set up a second ("secondary") iCloud account on your wife's devices to sync Mail.
If you already set up a separate iCloud account on your wife's devices, on her devices go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in your your mac.com ID. Turn on the data you want to share with this account across all devices; don't turn Mail on. Then go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and enter her separate iCloud credentials and turn Mail to On.
The only downside to this approach is that her email will be fetch, not push email. Push email is only supported in the main ("primary") account, not a secondary account.
The limitations to be aware of with secondary accounts are that only the primary account can be used for Photo Stream, Bookmarks, Documents, iCloud Backup and Find My Device. Also, push mail only works for the primary account; secondary account mail is fetch.

Find and replace with multiple files and with a watch folder

I am trying to create a watch folder that uses red_menace script to:
1. Have a folder that receives multiple xml files that run the script one by one.
2. then move the files to an output folder.
I tried modifying the set TheFIle to choose file -- the original text file to:
with multiple selections allowed
But that doesn't seem to work. I know i'm missing a step. Any help is much appreciated!

The way i'd like to setup things is having an input folder on the desktop (or just have the application on the desktop and I can drag the files onto it), and let it do it's thing. Once it's done have it export the xml files into an output folder.

I'm getting a new itouch and considering to keep my old one (with my emails, accounts, etc. teh same. Can you use imessages on 2 devices or switch so it only goes to one account?

IMac with multiple user accounts "cannot associate apple id for ....."

I have an iMac with multiple user accounts each with an Apple ID and individual iTunes library and Itunes match linking to iPhones iPads etc.
I bought songs on my iPhone yesterday, on trying to listen to them on the iMac (my user account) this morning I get the "cannot associacte Apple ID for another 31 day" meassage.
Is there any way round this? or is the answer only purchase via iTunes on the iMac in the individual account. Why do Apple do this?

Help With Multiple Class Objects With Methods

I am dealing with multiple classes. I am wondering why I am getting an error on this line it's by the bottom
          obj1.array() = newArray[i];
It gives the array out of bounds. On another note I believe I can change obj1 to just like incomingArray if I wanted correct since it's just a reference because I should be able to do this method sort on any array.

Form with multiple signatures, each with sigDate, only one date fills

I have a form with two signature fields, Sig1 and Sig2. Each sig field has an associated date field Sig1Date and Sig2Date.
I have a Topaz signature pad, so the form users physically sign the document.
When the first signature is entered (in either Sig1 or Sig2), the associated date field autofills as expected.
When the second signature is entered the associiated date remains blank.
I have other forms from vendors with up to six signature fields, each with dates, where each date fills as the signatures are entered... what am I doing wrong?

The problem must be in the way the form is constructed. There must be a JavaScript associated with your signature fields that autofill the date, and perhaps it is working on Sig1 but not on Sig2. If you sign the second signature field first, does its date field get populated? Do you know that other people are able to sign both fields in the same PDF and have both dates populated? I am sceptic about that. IMO this is more a question to the author of the PDF that you are signing.

Exit variable with multiple values or with ranges

I should be able to read all records from the cube in date range of one week for repost. Please advice if this is possible.

Yes, I am using the same variable for repost function also.
Let me explain in detial.
Req: I have a planning level with product, effective date and count(keyfigure). I want all products that has a count keyfigure value for the last one week.
If my effective date is a single value, I get all the list of products on that particular day. But, if my effective date has multiple dates or a date range, nothing is read from the data base.
Please advice.

Strange issues with multiple Exchange accounts with iOS4

Strange thing, I have
- one corporate account with Exchange
- one gmail account with traditionnal setup from iPhone
- other imap email accounts.
Since iOS4 came out, I decided to move Gmail to Active Sync mode. It worked, I had issues sending emails, even when connectivity was ok. I decided to delete all accounts and start from scratch so
- I began with Gmail: setup with Exchange/Active Sync
- I sent an email from Gmail to my corporate account (I didn't have it anymore on the iPhone)
Results:
- First the sent email gave me an error, I went to the outbox, clicked on resend, it worked after 2 retries
- Surprise: the mail sent from my gmail account to the corporate account was in my corporate inbox...but also in my gmail!

You can use the following cmdlet to repair this problematic mailbox and check the result.
New-MailboxRepairRequest -Mailbox xxx -CorruptionType FolderView
If the issue persists, you can move this problematic mailbox to another mailbox database and verify the result.

How to deal with multiple Android ressolutions with Flash- AIR games

Hi,
I have some Flash games that want to make run on different Android devices. How do we do so? I've seen that in one of my games, while I check "full screen" when exporting, the game area is not taking all the available space on the screen. I guess that's because the aspect ratio.

That article looks like it's geared towards desktop applications, and it makes sure the window never gets bigger than the original size.
You will read, any minute now, that a lot of people set the stage to not scale, and then use layout code to position the interface to look right, and will even take note of the DPI of the device to make sure that buttons are the right physical size. That's fine for typical utility apps, but if you have a detailed illustrated background, or any sort of fixed bitmap art, it may not be the right way to solve the problem.
The way I solve the problem is to not do any scaling at all, I leave that up to Flash, but I have spare content off the edges of the stage, that will be revealed on wider or taller screens.
The first time I used that approach I made the Flash stage be 480x320, and had extra content above and below the stage, to a total height of 360. That single file would exactly fit the iPhone screen and also the different aspect ratio iPad. On the iPad you would see the extra content.
That works fine if you layout for the widest device, and a have extra content for the less wide devices, but there is only one device less wide than the iPhone, the iPad. So now I have switched the technique to horizontal.
My stage is now 1024x768, and there is a lot of extra content off the left and right edges. I have enough there that it will still fill the screen on the widest device, which is the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Report with multiple COUNT columns with counts from same table

I am new to discoverer so I am a bit lost.
I am working to create a report to show usage data from the eBusiness Knowledge Base. I have the query written in SQL using subqueries that is in the format:
Solution Number | Soultion Title | Solution Views | Positive Feedback | Negative Feedback
12345 ___________ Title ________ 345 ____________ 98 _______________ 34
The 'Views', 'Positive' and 'Negative' entries are stored in the same table so i am doing a count where setid=setid and usedtype=VS, then counting where usedtype=PF and usedtype=NF
In discoverer I can get the solution number, title and ONE of the totals but I can't seem to figure out how to get a COUNT for three different things from the same table in columns on the same row.
When I go to edit sheet -> select items once I select the COUNT option for the UsedType column in the table CS_KB_SET_USED_HISTS I can't select it again. I also have found now way to add a column based on an entered query.
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

You can separate the column by using a case or decode.
for example create 2 calculations:
case
when usedtype='PF'
then <you original column> --- the one contain them both
else 0
end
case
when usedtype='NF'
then <you original column> --- the one contain them both
else 0
end
after that you can create the count aggregation over those.
