I have a few projects. Some of them have ended with a .mov extension, but others have not.
Not sure if i did anything different, but how would I get a .mov extension on a project I already created?

You will have to create iphone ringtones. Google will find several ways to do this.

after making the photo slide show, i clicked share>export movie. after which i burned using toast. the file became a .mov. i tried playing it in my mac and it worked. my fear now is will it also play in a regular dvd?... i read from google that mov files won't run in dvd players. what format should i convert it to so it'll play in a dvd player. can you suggest a faster way i can burn my projects for it takes me almost an hour to export. im going to make 28 slideshows for my kids in school. *=( if i need to do this process 28 times, i may not be able to finish it on time. please suggest a software or an alternative as to how i should do this... m more comfortable using imovie than iphoto. thanks and i hope to hear from someone soon *=j

Thank you QuickTimeKirk...used toast to burn project... my project was in .mov, i tried to play it a dvd player, it did play... will try again tomorrow using another dvd player just to be sure it'll will really work with dvd players. thank you again for your reply *=)

I bought a downloadable file when I bought Creative Suite CS5.5 for my laptop, which has now become slow and laggy. The problem is non compatible devices. You could go to a Verizon corporate store and they could try to transfer them, however many customers stated this has resulted in loss of contacts. They don't guarantee a transfer.

If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Well, I have connected my mbpr directly to a Sony Bravia using an hdmi cable, then set the tv to use the corresponding input port, and it works just fine. Have also connected via airplay -> appletv -> tv (with the last connection via an hdmi cable), which also works fine.

If they were bought from Apple then you should be able to copy them from the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, and you can then connect the iPhone to your computer's iTunes and sync them to that via the iPhone's 'Books' tab - and similarly for going from the phone to the iPad. You can't connect an iPhone to an iPad for direct transfer.

The mother board gave up.
Got another computer and put the good drive from the old computer into the newer one as a slave.
I have itunes all set up but can't figure out were to get my play lists and cover art to get them to the new drive/program.

Hold shift when you launch iTunes. It will let you chose a library. Chose the one one the slave drive from your old computer and it will look just like it did when you last used it on the old one.
It will be located in your User folder under My Music\iTunes

So I was wondering how people on this forum backup their project files. I'm on a MacBook so I can't have an external HD connected all the time. I heard something about subversion servers. How would I set one up? Could I use my old mac mini to make one? What are other ways to backup my project files?

It depends on what the person hiring me wants. Currently I am using subversion for some projects and gethub for others. I have used subversion the most though.
