Using iPAD 4G verizon hotspot via the USB cable to a windows pc

Has anyone ever done or knows anyone that has done a successful internet tethering via usb cable from a pc running windows vista to an ipad 4g running verizon cellular, (with a 3G or 4G LTE connection)?
I have tried many times but if nobody has ever successfully done this, I will stop trying or searching for a solution and assume that it cannot be done.

Attach the cable to your iPad and then to the USB, than go to settings chose the third option "personal hot spot" turn it on, a notification will pop up asking you if you want to use wifi or Bluetooth just select no and automatically work.

The only way to print from an iPad is to have a printer that supports AirPrint. Here's a link to an Apple support page on AirPrint.

AirPrint is way to print wirelessly via Wi-Fi but it requires that the printer supports AirPrint. The iPad cannot use Bluetooth to print and it will not print when connected via USB.

Connecting my Touch via the USB cable

I am connecting the Touch to my car via the usb cable as it has a built in ipod app. The car recognises the Touch and I can access all the menus and songs, select what I want to play and play the song, all from the car controls. The only problem is that the music plays from the Touch instead of through the car. Any ideas? It is a 32Gb Ipod Touch running 3.1.3. Any help appreciated.

What Carolyn says is correct. You can, however, share an Internet connection with your iPhone wirelessly by turning in Internet sharing (found in System Preferences > Sharing.) If your MacBook Pro is already using a wireless connection, you can just connect to the same wireless network it is using.

Well, thanks a lot. iMovie '11 is similar, but not identical and unfortunately I don't seem to find any "Frame Rate Pop-Up menu" when I generate a new Project. Do not find an "Aspect Ratio Pop-Up" either. Also the help does not speak of this options. I just have to choose a Theme and that's it. Also the "Settings" Menu for the Film does not help.
I also checked the general settings for iMovie:
So I would dare say, there is actually no possibility anymore, to set the output format. And also when I create the output file, there is nothing more than a short list of resolutions.
I do not understand why all options were taken away. I admit, I am a little disappointed.

On the new Ipad 4G (Verizon) - I am unable to Hotspot it with the USB Cable. I can do it with Wi-Fi and Blue Tooth just fine - but not directly connected from the iPad3 to a Windows 7 PC. It detects, it even opens up the Folder os that I can see the DCIM but no internet on the PC (but works fine using Wi-Fi or Blue Tooth hotspot). Any ideas ?

Sorry, but no. The USB port on the AirPort Express will only work with a compatible printer.

I have a similar set up in a BMW
However it has a factory ( extra) "Y" cable that plugs into 3.5mm and USB sockets with 30
pin on other end and is then recognised as USB input on Head unit
No idea about Subaru
However you probably need to talk to your Dealer about the built in Sound system
and understand how to use iPhone/iPod input

TS4062 windows xp platform. since updating to itunes 10.7.0.21 I have been unable to sync my iphone 3g via the usb cable. it shows up in my computer, but not in itunes

I have run itunes diagnostics and when it gets to connectivity test - ports, it says no iphone found. I followed the troubleshooting steps there, but have been unable to resolve this problem. I have also tried:
1. Stopping and restarting the apple mobile device program.
2. Deleting temporary files.
3. Checking the registery files.
4. Uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 2 times.
5. Used msconfig to disable start up items that could be interfering.
I'm tired of waiting for itunes 11, hoping that it might resolve my problem.
Is there a place where i can download the previous version of itunes 10.6 to see if this may help?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKED !!! I still cannot backup because iTunes cannot start a session.
My devices are completely vulnerable to loss.
I have spent hours searching the Internet trying to find a solution.
I have concluded that the iTunes software or its driver are at fault.

There is no where for the upgrade to 'Light Up'...I don't know what that means. Once your phone is recognized, you can manually select 'Check for Update' if it isn't automatically prompting you.

Why can I only connect to the internet using my IPhone 5S 4G via a USB and not wirelessly?

Apologies if I'm not using the right jargon ... I have a laptop (Dell Latitude D510 - Windows 7 Ultimate) that can connect to my Mobile Broadband wirelessly no problem but I can't utilise my IPhone's 4G connection (iOS 7.0.5) unless I use the USB cable (my personal hotspot is also on). I can't connect wirelessly to my personal hotspot without the USB cable. It keeps saying Windows is unable to connect to my IPhone. I have tried to troubleshoot this myself but can't find an obvious problem. Interestingly I could only connect via my USB when I downloaded the ITunes program as my computer failed to recognise my IPhone. Furthermore, I have a Dell Alienware laptop which has no problems connecting to my IPhone either way - USB or wirelessly (also has ITunes downloaded). I just got a new Windows tablet. I set up Home Sharing between it and my desktop Mac but I can't seem to get playlists from my desktop into the tablet. Can I do this by plugging my tablet into my desktop via a USB cable?

I just got an HP Stream 8 tablet with Windows on it. I have a Mac desktop running 10.6.8. I set up Home Sharing by making sure both had the same version of iTunes and I authorized the new tablet (desktop already was). (I haven't exceeded the number of authorized computers.) I would like to take some of the playlists I have on my desktop Mac and copy them into iTunes on the tablet. I hooked up the tablet to my desktop with a USB cable but wasn't able to get it to copy. I do not have WIFI....is there a way to do this by just having the tablet hooked up via the USB cable? If so, can someone please talk me through the steps necessary to do that? Thanks!
