Using iPad as an iPhone Bluetooth Device

I wanted to do what I thought would be a simple thing, using my iPad as a bluetooth device for my iPhone 5. An example of what I would like to do is say I'm watching a video on my iPad with headsets on, be able to have an incoming call show up on my iPad and answer it without having to take the phone out or take off my headsets. If iOS doesn't support this native, is there an app for the iPad that would do this?
I've seen articles on here for hot-spot connecting, but I don't have that service and don't need it. Just looking for a simple Bluetooth "headset" function with the iPad.

I've tried air displai on my Ipod touch and it connects perfectly to my Vista laptop. Now I have another challenge.
I have no problem connecting the Ipod through my router (or any router) using wifi. The issue is I need to contact the laptop with wifi at locations where I don't have an existing network through a router.
I've created an so called ad-hoc network in Vista. It's WPA-2. This network appears as an available network on the display of my Ipod, but wgen I try to make a connection it says it was unable to make this connection.
Anybody out there who has an idea???
The reason I use My Ipod is that I already am in the posession of this device. If it works I intend to purchase an Ipad. Dous anybody know if there is a difference between Ipod touch and Ipad in terms of connecting to an ad-hoc network?

This happened to me. I determined that my keyboard was paired with some other device (iPad or iPhone). I had to find the device which was paired with the keyboard, unpair it from that device, and then the new device that I wanted to pair it with could discover the keyboard. Bluetooth devices already paired with something cannot be discovered. There needs to be a better way.

Try toggle Bluetooth off and on. You can also try a reset all settings (your content won't be deleted).

IPad unable to recognize bluetooth device after "forgetting" device.

I recently bought a pair of Sennheiser PXC310 BT wireless bluetooth headphones to use with my iPad. It worked fine until one day a friend pressed the "forget device" option in the iPad's bluetooth menu. Since then the iPad is unable to recognize headphone's bluetooth signal, even though the headphone's bluetooth is turned on. Can somebody please help me reconnect the device? I've always assued it was okay to use the chargers that came with my iPad and iPhone interchangeably. However, I was speaking to someone in a retail store and they were saying that I should onlyi use the iPhone charger for the iPhone and same with iPad as it could impact the battery over time if I mix and match.
I've even used my iPad charger for my old Nano when I wasn't charging it through my computer.
I know there was a previous discussion on this a couple years back but I was curious if there were any updated opinions on this.

You can ignore that advice, as whoever you talked to doesn't know what they're talking about. You can use the iPad charger with your iPhone, just fine. Read here:

The 5W iPhone charger will charge the full size iPad, but only being 5W's, the pace will be glacier.

Both chargers are 5 VOLT. one is 5 watts and one is 10 watts. These are based on maximum amperages before the voltage drops. If you put an iPhone on the ipads charger it will see 5 volts as it always does. It has an inherent internal resistance and will draw a specific amount of amperage and hence power from the charger.

I have no problem with my other apple products my older ipad2 and my current iphone5.

What are they searching for? Is there a Bluetooth device nearby? If you don't have a BT device, there is nothing to find.
By the way, BT has absolutely nothing to do with WiFi.

Ok, now I do wish I could edit....
I forgot to APPLY the network settings for the USB cable to work. Connected thru USB I can tether.
So, I kept playing, and playing some more...
I had previously unpaired everything, and gone as far as removing network devices HOWEVER...
I didn't remove the Ethernet, Firewire or Airport Network devices.
Now, I have done so. I REMOVED EVERYTHING
No pairing, no network devices.
Bluetooth was already turned off, and I rebooted.
I turned off tethering and rebooted the iphone.
I turned on bluetooth (on the MBP), I turned on tethering. I browsed for the iphone. It said I was already paired???? Ok, repair AGAIN, and THE IPHONE SHOWED MY BLUETOOTH TETHERING BLUE BAR at the top of the screen!
I opened a web page, no go... d4mn, I was close...
Opened network preferences and the created a new bluetooth PAN and voila! Internet back on the MBP. I am about to reinstall the ethernet and airport (I can live without firewire for now) and see what happens.
Basically, the link I posted two posts ago, I had already done that, but I NEEDED to remove ethernet, firewire and airport as well...
So MAYBE it's fixed, we'll see for how long. I'm not going to mark this as answered for now, because basically, it has failed for no reason, and I want to know why...
Hopefully someone can come up with something, but having to delete and reinstall all pairings and network devices (to me) is not really a solution, it's a workaround (at best).
