Using iPad charger w/ iPhone 3GS

Is it safe to do so? I'd like to carry only one charger.

I'm sorry but you are wrong.
Both chargers are 5 VOLT. one is 5 watts and one is 10 watts. These are based on maximum amperages before the voltage drops. If you put an iPhone on the ipads charger it will see 5 volts as it always does. It has an inherent internal resistance and will draw a specific amount of amperage and hence power from the charger.

Yes, the new iPhone 6 uses the same lightning cable.

  • Using iPad charger for iPhone?

    Hi
I've always assued it was okay to use the chargers that came with my iPad and iPhone interchangeably.  However, I was speaking to someone in a retail store and they were saying that I should onlyi use the iPhone charger for the iPhone and same with iPad as it could impact the battery over time if I mix and match.
I've even used my iPad charger for my old Nano when I wasn't charging it through my computer.
I know there was a previous discussion on this a couple years back but I was curious if there were any updated opinions on this.
    Thanks!

You can ignore that advice, as whoever you talked to doesn't know what they're talking about. You can use the iPad charger with your iPhone, just fine. Read here:

The 5W iPhone charger will charge the full size iPad, but only being 5W's, the pace will be glacier.

Yuppers, but you just can't do it in reverse since an iphone charger won't put out enough juice to effectively charge an ipad

    Hello candymerna,
At this point I would recommeng resetting the device if if will not turn on.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
From: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If it does turn on, but will not charge then take a look at this part of the article iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting found http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
    Power/Battery
Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important: Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.
Also refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery.

how can  I use emoji keyboard on iPhone 3GS In wts app nd version ov this is 5.1.1(9B206)????????

Once the keyboard is connected, it should work with any app that uses the standard keyboard interface, so it will work with iWork.
br121: iWork was released for iPad quite some time ago, and updated for iPhone 4 recently.

  • Can I use iPad charger to charge iPone?

Can I use iPad charger to charge iPone? Will that affect iPhone's battery life?

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Why i cant use facebook on my iphone 3gs

why i cant use facebook on my iphone 3gs?

If you want to use the Facebook app and you don't have an older version saved in your iTunes library, then you won't be able to download it on that device.  Either use Safari to access Facebook or get a device that can run iOS 7 and install Facebook.

HI, I just bought an iPhone 4S. Although my iPad and other iPhone 3GS connect to our server (SBS2003) I cannot get through.  It checks all items in the connection and then I get the message :Cannot get mail, the connection to the server failed."  I Tried everything, rebooting, reset all iPhone, etc.  All Apple devices work perfectly expect mine.  Please advise

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

  • I am unable to use apps on my iPhone 3GS, apple TVs & iPad mini - Airport Express

I currently have an airport express and Netgear ADSL2+ modem.  I also have an iPhone 3GS, 2 apple TVs, iPad mini, and iMac (circa 2008). The only device that is working properly is the 2008 iMac. All other devices show that I have 5 bar signal but do not allow me to use any of the apps (ie: Netflix, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) I have ran speedtest on all devices, ping and download speed are as expected. Ping: 150 ms, Download: 2.7 mbps, Upload 0.68 mbps from iMac. The only difference is that upload speed on iPhone and iPad mini does not register. I feel like the issue is with the modem or the airport? Do I need the airport extreme even though I show 5 bar signal strength on all devices or do I need a new modem from Verizon in hopes that it will get me a better connection on a device that they support? (they do not support the Netgear modem I currrently have).
