Using iPad in the Workplace

We have about about 5 people in the our workplace that have the ipad 2. I have a few questions on making them the most secure and also on how somethings work with Itunes and maybe someone with more experience on using these in a work environment can help.
1. I have set each user a passcode to have to put in to use the ipad and they have an icloud account to locate the ipad if stolen. My question is whether this is secure enough? It seems to be to me but wondered if there is a way a criminial could get the info off the ipad even with a passcode set. For instance if the wrong hands got a hold of the ipad and they connected it to itunes could they transfer purchases and info onto their itunes without having to enter the itunes account info of the owner of the ipad. It seems like when I plugged in a users ipad into itunes it automatically showed the device without them having to log in.
2. How do you guys back up your ipad? I have been connecting each ipad for each user and having them sign into their itunes account on their pc and then right clicking the device once shown in itunes and clicking backup then i back up that onto a back up server. Does this backup everything on the device including documents in qiuck office?
3. Lastly, I have to reimage users PCs often say every 6 months or so. If I have to reimage and reinstall itunes for their ipad and connect the ipad it will not erase whats on the ipad will it? It seems i have heard people complain about this happening. How does this work with itunes? I know apple does not want users to be able to just plug the ipad into several pc with itunes downloaded and to be able to transfer purchases to several different pcs, but if a user gets another pc or theirs is reimage and itunes has to be downloaded again will the ipad work fine and be recognized by itunes?
Basically I want to know the best practice for securing, backing up the ipad2s in a work environment.
If anyone could be kind enough to share with me any info I would appreciate it!

What you've run into is the activation lock. Previous owners are supposed to wipe their devices, and to do that they have to enter their apple ID's. If yours wasn't wiped then it was a careless owner, or the dark side is that whomever sold it, it wasn't theirs to sell.
Regardless, what Deggie says is your only recourse. Get your money back or own an unusable brick.

I purchased a used IPad in the USA to send to our charity in Ghana. It was posted from Nevada and was never delivered. I have purchased another Ipad and want to use the Apps I purchased on the missing Ipad? What can I do?

To Clarify above. I purchased a 1st generation Ipad to send to our charity in Ghana. I posted it off from Nevada US Postal service and it never arrived inl Takaradi Ghana. My belief is that as the customs declaration said "Ipad" it was too good an oppertunity for a postal worker between the US and Ghana to get a free Ipad.
After waiting a few months to confirm the loss, I purchased another Ipad at Schipol airport Netherlands as I was travelling back to Ghana this week. The cost was considerably more than the used Ipad and I am now out far more than I budgeted for.
My question is: How can I download the paid apps I had on the stolen Ipad on to the one I have just purchased. I have all the details concerning the stolen Ipad but no the seriel number. Any help appreciated.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

Is it possible to use IPad in the effects loop of an amplifier without damaging the ipad itself?

Good morning to everybody,
I'm using iRig directly in the amp input, but in order to achieve a better output signal I would like to give a try putting my iPad in the effects loop of the amp. It means "send-return" post-preamp section. I was wondering if this could cause ipad damaging or something like that.
Basically, I plug my guitar into the amp. The the signal comes out of the preamp and gets into the ipad. Then, from the ipad, it returns into the amp.
Hope someone has already given this a try, perhaps it could be helpful.

Any ideas how to play iPad music via tv and use ipad at the same time?

I am using ArkMC app to play music from my iPad on my sony bravia tv. But when I come out of the app to say use safari, the music stops streaming. I really want to play music and use my iPad together. Any ideas?.

the app have to support background play or when one move on it will stop playing
if you use an appletv you can use airplay but it will not just play the music it will play any sound your ipad would otherwise play so if you start the music and expect to be able to play a game on the ipad while the music play you will be disappointed

You can use iPad as the display for your mac mini. but it will be your secondary display .. i.e. you need to have a primary display other that iPad.

Correct. An app can only be updated under the Apple ID that was used to orginally acquire the app. If that is a problem you can delete the app and download again under the new userid. If you paid for the app you will have to pay again. Your old Apple ID does not go away so there is no reason to not use it to download the apps.
You cannot delete the apps that came with IOS. If you want to "hide" the apps simply put the apps into an application folder by dragging one app onto another. You can do this to all the IOS apps.

Thank you for the help. Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID. I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone. In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one. My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID. Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

How do I use my iPad as the display and input device for my Mac Mini?

I plan to have the following stereo configuration:
Integrated amplifier with USB input that supports up to 24/192 audio, the Peachtree Nova 125
Mac Mini with USB connection to amp, wifi to the Internet, housed in the equipment cabinet with the integrated amp, no other music source. No display or keyboard connected to the Mac Mini.
I would like to use my iPad as the display and to control the Mac Mini to run Pandora, iTunes, Spotify, podcasts, etc.
Anyone have success with this general configuration?

Signal Strength shows 5 circles.
It does not display the iPad screen but when I use the BT Sport App I can hear the sound but there is no video. I have searched the internet for a solution to no avail. The problem first arose when the IOS was at 8.1+ but it worked correctly briefly when I updated to IOS 8.2. Can you help please?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro. If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook. Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad. Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.
