Using ipad mini on GSM systems when not in USA
I want to purchase an ipad mini, in the USofA specifically for use while traveling in countries other than the USofA.
I neither need nor want a 'carrier'. I do however need to be able to change sim cards based on Country, and purchase time to access GSM systems.
What is the best way to accomplish this?
That happened to me too. Came to find out my charger cord went bad. How did i find that out? I charged it over night, woke up and saw not only was it not charged it also wouldn't come on and i noticed exposed wires. Whenever i twisted my cord back and forth at base, my ipad tried to charge (saw green battery icon) but stopped when i let go of the cord. I bought a new charger and guess what? Within a month it happened again! Sooooo i went and bought a more expensive one would you believe it happened again!? So i figured i must be bending it at odd angles too much, too rough or something. Third time a charm? Hopefully? This time i took my charger and made a loop and placed a zip tie close to where i saw the wires on my damaged one, where the most bending occurs (not to tight). That way no matter what i do that one part of the cord on my charger will never bend. Hopefully it'll work. So far so good.

Charge it when you see the Low Battery Alert. It is not recommended to Fully Discharge the battery.
Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

As any developer I got the iOS 7 beta on my iPad mini , before few days when I used my iPad forgot my passwaor, and I can't unlock it using the iPad , When I plug it on my window so I can restore it using iTunes , I got to errors , once "Unkown error 3004" and once "It's not eligble".
I hope you can help me.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I purchased a used ipad mini, still under warranty. despite previous owner removing the device from his apple account, when I go to register the ipad mini to my account, apple states the device is still listed under previous owner. Previous owner has gone into his account and the ipad mini has been removed? what to do
Contact the Apple suport number for your location from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask for their help is getting this registration straightened out...you will probably need to be able to send them proof of purchase for the iPad Mini.

Hello, i am using ipad mini now. When i charge it till 90%, it will stop charging on its own. I need to reconnect in order to charge it till 100%. Another problem is when i am using an apps, for example looking through the photo, suddenly the screen will back to Home. Anyone know what is the problem? Thanks.

iPad Mini 2 goes ballistic when being charged -- in other words, it hangs abruptly ; does not type properly. Moreover, in some instances open apps peculiarly force quit without the screen being touched whatsoever.

If the battery doesn’t charge
If the battery doesn’t charge, unplug your device and try these steps:
Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris.
If you're using a USB power adapter, make sure it's plugged in all the way and the power outlet is working. If you're connecting to a computer, make sure it's on and can charge your device. To charge an iPad, you might need to use a USB power adapter and plug into a power outlet.
Try a different USB cable, USB power adapter, or USB port.
If everything seems to be working, reconnect your device and wait for 30 minutes.
If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it's connected to power. If you can't restart, reset your device.

I meant by "not compatible" that all the solutions that I found on the web did not work, especially the "Microsoft exchange" one.
Fortunately I found on the comments of the first website you mentioned the right answer for me, which I copy below:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDav Account.
Enter the following information in the fields:
Server: google.com
User Name: Enter your full Google email address
Password: Your Google account password
Select Next at the top of the screen to complete the setup.
After you have completed the setup, open the Contacts app on your device. Syncing should begin automatically.
Additional Information
Note: Make sure that SSL is enabled (under Advanced settings), and that the port is 443.
If you are using application based special password go to https://accounts.google.com/Se... and instead of your password put that special code and u r done. -
I have a used ipad mini. I did a reset on it and I am trying to set it back up, but it is still tied to last users iTunes ID and will not let me set it up with mine. Any ideas. I tried setting it back to factory defaults with usb cable, but still no go. How do I activate ipad mini with my iTunes ID.

Thanks for the support but I had already tried this . Again did it as you advised. Still not able to connect the ipad mini with Bluetooth.
Could it be that some app is causing issue. I can connect my car and computer over Bluetooth but not ipad mini.
On the other had ipad is connecting to other iPhone but only not mine.
Still showing ipad not supported message. And also shows not paired.

my ipad mini shut off and when I try to start it again it shows the battery needs charging. I have plugged it in and it will not charge. I have tired synching it and nothing happens. It seems to be frozen. any suggestions. FYI it is not a year old yet.

first off , from the wired computer access the router using http://192.168.1.1 .. check the firmware version .. go to www.linksys.com/download and check the latest firmware available...if the router does not have the latest firmware , upgrade it first. .. after the firmware upgrade , reset and reconfigure the router
if the router has the latest firmware , then reset the router for 30 seconds .. do a power cycle...access the router ui ..default password is admin..click on the "mac add clone" subtab , enable it and click clone....save the settings and do a power cycle..ensure that the wired computer is online
on the router web ui , click on the wireless tab ..change the ssid - any non-linksys name , channel - 11 , security mode - wpa , beacon interval - 50 , fragmentation threshold - 2306 , RTS threshold - 2307 ..

How do you unlock a disabled ipad mini? I have my notes in Notability and I don't want to lose them. I know my passcode but I left my keyboard on and it disabled it.
