Using iPad to fill forms

I understand that FormsCentral forms can be filled out and submitted using an iPad only through Adobe Reader. Is there a maximum size/width the form can be to best fit on the iPad or does it scale regardless?

ZAGG make a Great KeyBoad Case combination for your iPad. Its slightly miniturized Full sized keyboad it’s a Bluethooh keyboard.  And it actually has the same feel as a Standard Laptop keyboard. It doesn't feel like a Chicklet keyboard. I have one for my iPad. The case is made out of Kevlar.  The key board uses any unversal Power brick that uses a standard USB connector at the brick ined and the micro USB in key board end. I bought the case for mine along with iPad just after the iPad3 came out I have yet to recharge the keyboard.

  • I used Preview to fill in a .pdf form. I saved it, re-opened and saw my annotations. When I attached it to an email, the annotation and filled-in materials were no there. What's happening?

    Having been gently chided by "How to write a good question," I offer additional information as a preamble to my question.
    I am writing about Preview 7.0 (826.4) on Mavericks 10.9.4; my computer is a MacBook Pro, late 2011 model with not modifications.
    I used Preview to fill in a .pdf form and saved it. To check, I re-opened the form and saw all the info I had filled in. However, when I attached it to an email, the info was not there; the form contained none of the info I had added. I re-did the form several times, but the results were the same when I attached it to email. What's going on?
    Here's a secondary matter. When I filled in the form, the print was red and the type too large. Though I went into fonts, etc. and selected a type size and color black, the info I added was still red and the wrong size. Again, how do I manage color, size, and font?

    Form document will automatically be saved after closing the file. As far as cloud message is concerned, it seems your Mobile link setting has been turned on. When you pressed device back button after filling the form, it was saved to your Acrobat.com account. You can access this document by going to Acrobat.com tab present in left pane. Its a cloud storage area where you can upload/save any document.

    Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap the ID that is showing and sign out. Sign in with your own ID.
    Why the previous owner did not remove his information is a mystery.

  • Scan and fill form using Acrobat 6.0

    How can I scan hardcopy of a form, save as PDF, open the form in Acrobat 6.0, and fill in the blanks (fields)?

    Thanks Dave.
    I'm aware that my 6.0 acrobat is way out of date.  But I thought I created a fillable form a few years ago using it.  But in that case it probably was a PDF going into the process, not a scanned form.  Also, I was using vista at the time and now have win 7/64bit.
    I'll try the OCR routine but your post suggests what I suspected, that I can't get to where I'm going from here.

    As Acrobat 6 went out of support / obsolete many years ago you'll want to be sure the OS is compatible and the scanner software is compatible.
    Use Acrobat's create PDF from scanner feature (review the Help file if needed, the Help PDF was installed when Acrobat 6 was installed).
    So, you'll now have that PDF.
    But, it is not yet a form PDF.
    The scanner output is an image so you have an image / a picture as the PDF page content.
    You may want to use Acrobat's OCR feature to provide a hidden layer of renderable characters.
    Use Acrobat's form tools to build your form. As Acrobat 6 is long ago gone by I don't recall if it had a "form wizard". Check the Help PDF.
    Be well...

  • Acrobat 6 filled form fields show up empty in Acrobat X

    I've been using Acrobat 6 to create fillable forms some time back and now I'm having some issues trying to correct some fields they are showing up empty in Acrobat X. Is there a way to still view or edit my saved Acrobat 6 filled forms in Acrobat X?

  • Used iPad, new owner, can't clear it & log in my ID.

    I was given a used iPad. I need to reset it for my own Apple ID. I don't have their restriction code. How do I do this?
    The answer I found so far in the archives pointed me to the General/Reset/Erase All content and Settings buttons, but a Passcode screen popped up and I had to stop after 2 failed guesses. Former owner, who is 90,  had it set up by her daughter. Her daughter set it up with her own account ID, etc. I emailed her to ask for the Passcode, but if she doesn't know it, I don't know how to proceed. I signed into iCloud, but when I go to open that, it asks for my password only, with her iCloud ID already input and no way to input mine instead.
    I was able to change the iCloud sign in to my own account, so I don't want to accidentally erase that.
    I am writing this on my laptop. Please help, if only to link me to a better archived answer. Thank you.

    If the original owner cannot remember the password and cannot erase the device for you, then it is now and always be useless. There is nothing that you can do now to make it yours if she can't remember the passcode to erase it.
    This is what the original owner needs to do.

  • Using methods from another Form C#

    Hello!
    I'm having some trouble using methods from one Form in another one. Here's the deal:
    This is a snippet from my 'main' form:
    public partial class PRINCIPAL : Form
    //some variables here
    Form2 Config = new Form2();
    Form3 Cadastro = new Form3();
    public PRINCIPAL()
    InitializeComponent();
    //code goes on and on
    //Here's the method I want to call on the other forms (Form2 and Form3)
    public void salva_banco()
    this.Validate();
    this.projetoBindingSource.EndEdit();
    this.modulosBindingSource.EndEdit();
    this.funcaoBindingSource.EndEdit();
    this.estadosBindingSource.EndEdit();
    this.tableAdapterManager.UpdateAll(this.database1DataSet);
    //And here is where I show Form3
    private void projetoDataGridView_CellDoubleClick_1(object sender, DataGridViewCellEventArgs e)
    Cadastro.ShowDialog();
    //And here is where I show Form2
    private void funcaoDataGridView1_CellDoubleClick(object sender, DataGridViewCellEventArgs e)
    Config.ShowDialog();
    }// And the code keeps on going}
    And this is a snippet from Form3:
    public partial class Form3 : Form
    public Form3()
    InitializeComponent();
    private void Form3_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    this.projetoTableAdapter.Fill(this.database1DataSet.Projeto);
    this.modulosTableAdapter.Fill(this.database1DataSet.Modulos);
    private void btnOK_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    if (projetoTextBox.Text == "")
    MessageBox.Show("some text here");
    else
    ////// HERE IS THE PLACE WHERE I WANT TO CALL THE METHOD! "salva_banco()"
    I've read lots of suggestions but none satisfied my condition.
    I appreciate any help.
    Thanks.

    You need to find the instance of the PRINCIPAL form to call the method on.  If you know there will always be exactly one open you can use:
    var principalForm = Application.OpenForms.OfType<PRINCIPAL>().Single();
    principalForm.salva_banco();

    My Safari (V5.0.1 (6533.17.8)) Auto fill forms never works. It is precisely tied to my
    address book card. I get this message:
    AutoFill completes webpage forms using information from your Address Book card or from web forms you completed previously. The information required by this form does not match any of the information available to AutoFill.
    but every thing matches.
    And yes prefs checked to use address book.
    Any thoughts please? Thanks

  • Filling Form Fields

    I am creating a form in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and I want it to automatically fill in the rest of the field once the user types what they need in it. A good example of this is when you fill out a check and draw a line through the end of the pay field so that nothing can be added. I would like to use * or - to finish the field. Thanks.

  • Why use Non-Interactive Adobe forms over Smart-Forms

    Hi,
       Is there any advantage of using Adobe over Smart-forms. We do not need Interactive forms. I know this is a new approach which SAP is using, but other than that is there any good reason?

    better look and fill..
    better scope of development.
    reusable interfaces
    digital signatures.
    use of scripting languages.

  • Passing querystring parameters to InfoPath Filler form

    This is NOT relating to a browser enabled form.  I don't have any problem passing the querystring when browser enabled.  I have the requirement to pass a record ID (listitemID) to a filler form via a link on a SharePoint page.  The form has
    been published to the site as a content type using the XSN as the content type template.  It is attached to a SharePoint form library as the only content type.  If I select the default 'New Document' control from the library it opens a new form just
    fine.  However, using the URL....
    <a href="/sites/Group/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?XsnLocation=http://sharepoint2010/sites/Group/TestForm.xsn&amp;SaveLocation=http%3A%2F%2Fsharepoint2010%2Fsites%2FGroup%2TestLib&amp;ClientInstalled=true&amp;Source=http%3A%2F%2Fsharepoint2010%2Fsites%2FGroup%2FTestLib%2FForms%2FAllItems%2Easpx&amp;DefaultItemOpen=1&amp;InstanceID=(Need
    to add parameter here)">Add document</a>
    The form opens but  when i pass a known InstanceID I only get the data populated for the 1st record in the sharepoint list.  This form can not be converted to a browser enabled form becuase there are some print/save requirements that browser forms
    can't accomodate. I know that the form event load code works fine as it will work if done as a browser enabled form.

    Two ideas come to mind, I have tested neither:
    1. Try adding the NoRedirect=true parameter and see if that can prevent the InstanceID
    from being dropped.
    2. Try using editDocumentWithProgID2 javascript function to force open the InfoPath form directly in client application, there might be a way to pass the initial parameter through the javascript-ActiveX
    wrapper.  This will require some javascript crawling to figure out.
    Check opening the form using the Filler with a command line switch, and the form load works as expected.
